Thanks for the update, but if he is going to do the rework, he needs to be more clear, not with us (We filthy pirates), but with the patreons, who still have good faith with him, if he states "If we have *Insert money necesary to hire a programmer*, i'm going to hire a programmer to help rework the game, so it doesn't take a 1 millon years and i don't have to do it again" the patreons might help him with that and can start some real work on .1 update.

What i'm trying to say it's that all this radio silence doesn't help anyone and only complicates the problem.

I dont disagree about him not being communicative and it leading to people being more angry than they really should be. Its a problem but unfortunately thats just how teary is. patreons have tried changing him he wont. hes socially akward or something and usually only communicates when hes had alcohol to have courage to chat i think is what the discord says. last communication was "im not going to communicate until update as it hasnt been working." basically so yeah. that was like november i wanna say. Again though plenty of former patreons feel that way as well most have stopped supporting.

he only gets like 1k atm and i bet most of those bought for a year. discord people say you would think he would talk with us as money dries up but again it appears to be a passion project for him and not in anyway something he cares about the money for really. mostly seems to view the money as a side benefit for making a passion project. If he was doing this as a buisness and for profit i would agree he should definitely be following your advice unfortunately if its a passion project and he has other priorities it becomes a grey area. He also wont ever hire anyone else. this project is his baby of sorts and he wants no one else in it i believe has been expressed. But yeah in most companies communication is the basic of basics. if you make an action update the notes etc, but its funny usually the tech people tend to be the worst at that. Most game dev companies have even made a role for the person who is supposed to
be noting everything instead of having the devs do it themselves usually. seems a reoccurring thing to be honest that tech and IT people just dont communicate or put notes if they absolutely do not have to.


I think as a whole it seems like the patreons would actually rather .1 update as at this point if that doesnt happen its like wtf have you been doing for four months. either he lied about being near done on previous changelog in november or he really just fucked around for four months. so if they get a full rework at this point say august or october even if it were 2026 theyd be less mad i think than a broken janky .98 that still doesnt work four months down the road. most of them that care have canceled and will likely resume on a reasonable update anyway tbh.

i mean there were pictures and bro uploaded an entire ass changelog and said it should be good tomorrow but then said oh wait i fucked the whole game these two bugs are game breaking and i dont know how to fix them without whole code redo sort of thing was assumed. There are also a lot of pics leaked in discord so idk. hes done some work how much prob less than he implied tbh but probably not fuck all. the changelog was too detailed id say to be an entire fake. So hes def got some work doubt he canceled it. Honestly at least modern aaa hits the deadline with a minimum viable product. if he had made buggy release 4 months ago would it have been broken sure, but people would not have been as mad. No. now its like he prob has to have a whole rework on release to not make people mad as four months means you should be doing more than a bug fix.

Just finished the fourth mines and got to the Walter scene, does anyone know how to fix this?

Missing image error. Your game is trying to load an image file that doesn't exist on your PC, in this case WIA_1.rpgmvp. Just go to your installation's images folder (Katalist v0.097.6 Windows\www\img\pictures), select one of the existing .rpgmvp images in the folder, copy and paste, then rename the copy to the file name the game is searching for. You'll have to make like 5 or 6 new images but the file names you'll want are:
WIA_1
WIA_2
WIA_3
WIA_4
WIA_5
WIA_6

Alternatively if you trust zip files from strangers on piracy sites I put the ones I have in a folder below that you can just extract to the pictures folder instead of doing the copy paste rename file BS. All 6 files are just copies of WI A 1.rpgmvp so the cutscene looks a bit weird but it should run.

Not officially confirmed. Afaik, the last thing teary said (publicly on discord) was he's going to stop communicating until a release.

Man there are very few good games like this and I was into the story and now its abandoned is sad man even ANLIS has no updates man I think they have some real problems and can't make the game either way it would be better if they could say something about it more.

Guys even though i am not in the discord. I still believe that the developer wouldn't just drop such a successful game. I mean now that AI is a thing that basically everyone uses i think its just a matter of time before we see the update. (Hopefully, in the near future he might actually integrate AI in the game... just imagine the immersion.)

The ai gets uncomfortable and stops playing along mid scene and you have to silently close the game in shame

You are right about that but there are ways to work around it. It's just a matter of figuring out a way to keep only the relevant information. Then its also a good idea to have somewhat pre-made prompts so the AI is still following the script. You can have premade answers but the AI is just adapting the details according to the decisions you have taken so far. All in all its not impossible, just quite frustrating. That said, it is still the best option for immediate improvement. And yet, i still think the game, as it is right now, is still unalienably well made while also simple enough and not too grindy (gameplay-wise dont know much about codding).

if a game doesn't update in a certain amount of time it gets tagged abandoned. dev just hasn't updated but is still making game. he has updated wiki reccently for new characters not even in game.

Ye, but at the same time, it's safest to treat the game as "Abandoned" (aka. play other games in the meanwhile) until the situation changes.
