How do I get through these doors ? My next objective is there but they are both locked. Plus I feel like I searched through the whole house

getting snow takes a bit of leg work but I will try to outline the steps. Please not that it has been a while for me so a few bits may be off.
  1. Get the liver stone, it is a key item needed to unlock a trap door. This can be gotten by traveling west of Snow Barren village, then go north to the wilderness area, it should be the area before the swarm of angry ghosts. Interact with the scarecrow to get the item. (it is next to the big tree).
  2. then go back to the witches hut and then go north. This should take to the area with a building and a grave. If you take the entrance to Snow Barren village just go east and you will arrive at the correct area.
  3. Enter the house (if needed, put on glasses to see in the dark or put on the flashlight) and interact with the trap door. You should get a prompt to use the item to open it. once done step through.
  4. Now you should be in a corridor with a broken wall leading north, go north. (Note: sometimes the wall will not be broken, I believe that this is only the case if you get to this location too early in the game.)
  5. Then interact with the coffin and you should bet a brief cut scene and then you will have the needed essence.

Although that helps, I'm stuck in the Old Housing Facility rn lol
