There's still merit to the mentorship theory imo, aside from the numbered lists suggesting each teacher's assignments, the close ties between each mentor-mentee could also be a way of strengthening the teacher's faction. The only pearling to have occurred recently seems to be Julia's (plus Trent), held under Cho's supervision. If her group has a monopoly on the proceedings, the latest recruits could all be subservient to Cho (possibly exposing another layer to Cho and Macky's argument over who gets to handle Dilan after Emily's dorm fiasco).

You're probably right about Dilan not being able to get pearled, too; bodily reconstitution is one of the things a Pearl seems to experience, and our boy has proven he's able to regenerate to his natural, whole state no matter the injury. Gatastate may try it anyway, so I'm interested in whether Nalid/Katja would do anything about Niht's influence or just roll over and let a repeat of Akuaki + Verl happen.

Idk about artstyle, but based off the facts regarding the missing sister, it would seem Julia is who Caroline is looking for. Going into speculation territory, Julia might be the demi with dormant magical blood described by Allan in one of his reports, which could be related to how Caroline came by her lipstick.



Differences seem to end at Walter's death, the only notable update is the name of the Fragment hidden by Katja in Verl's event (Fragment of Warmth/Cold/Self).

I dont know how averse Nalid/Katja would be against the Niht influence. You see from somewhere between updates they have been killing and absorbing pearls into Dilan's body.

We pretty much know that essence's contain part of someones being atleast enough of it to make others percieve you as such. This is pretty much confirmed by everyone who keeps calling you a succubus wich makes sense since the majority of the essences you keep consuming are those of succubi. So by now a big part of us should "smell" or feel like succubus. Another clue would be that Noelle upon our first meeting thinks we are Noo's son because she feels her essence in our body. This would also explain why as i already have said before the Nith cult thinks Noo entered the 4th mine wich was just Dilan teleporting around. Also this is why the majority of the other cultist call you a succubus aswel. Dilan pretty much is majorily a succubus at this point in the story.

To get back to the pearling of Dilan. Since we know how much an essence influences you (The way others percieve your being and also you being able to learn fundamental skills of them while meditating on it) we can atleast predict that the slaughtering of Alex's family (failed pearls) and the subsequent absorbing of them has to have some effect on our body. We have been killing alot according to Alex. So yeah we have absorbed alot of them wich makes our body probably more like pearls. We also got Alex her essence so we should have some part of nightwalker aswel. And as last we got a weak bit of Nith essence from miki. I feel like that Nith essence isnt just some non important thing. I feel like this is a part of Nith itself. Atleast the essence is.

So yeah after all this i think that Dilan is going to or might already be on his way to become a pseudo nightwalker. Since he got the essence of those who failed(failed pearl). Those who passed the trial (nightwalker) and that wich is the place of origin(Nith).
His body might not change like a traditional nightwalker but im quite certain he will be able to manipulate specific aspects of his blood (we already know blood magic). Dilan is going to be a frightening hybrid of a being. A magician succubus nightwalker that cant be killed by normal means.


Also yeah this pfp is quite funny. I made it myself and im thinking of making a katja one next so i can make a funny meme with them.

Vaila was especially concerned about Dilan being recognized as Noo if Domi uses his energy for portals, rather than any of the other individuals she's had him fight, after all. At this point there's probably more Pearls in Dilan than succubi (assuming that is what the image of the crowd of red-eyed people means), but there hasn't been a noticeable change in his capabilities or how people tend to view him. We still don't know what Katja intends for the absorbed Pearls, though, so maybe the effects simply haven't manifested yet, but it hinges on whether she's trying to open the door for Niht or exploiting the Pearls solely to empower Dilan somehow. No matter how it ultimately happens though, like you said Dilan is sure to gain a set of Night Walker based abilities.

On top of being tied to powers, Niht's essence itself is definitely a big deal, too. Dilan can't properly meditate on it so far, then there's Vaila labeling Miki a "Child of Niht" just for having it. Maby improvements (as the game calls them) matter the most in making how dominant a certain trait is (even though Bonnie's essence has fucked with Dilans mind big time). Like our "first" improvement was mixing Noo's essence with ours to make a katalist. We had to take a detour to do our first improvement because Vaila didnt want the off chance of mixing some part of Niht with Dilan. So yeah maby Vaila is planning on masking our being to look more and more like a succubus while also gaining more and more strength so we could eventualy walk in Vuskovia without any concealer stone etc. So we can infiltrate the succubi main kingdom and do something for the rebellion (kill the queen or some other high ranking individual etc). I cant wait to see what effects the actual first improvement will do to Dilan. I still think that even having that bit of essence to Dilan's being will change alot to what might happen in the future in terms of transformations etc.

The first improvement is definitely overdue, and I think you're right about the effects to Dilan's being it'll have. Apart from the identification bit, Vaila also seems to expect it to vastly enlarge his range of abilities, like recognizing other entities' natures (same way the Nihtlings do, perhaps). Now that tricky opponents like Akuaki came knocking all on their own, it's high time Dilan started getting truly in touch with succubus powers, especially since Jalie and Rousou still need to be fought too.

I'm with you that components like Niht probably will end up being a complication anyways, no matter how much they try to make the improvement without it. Ironically though I kinda want to see it act up, it could be an interesting development to have before the Niht plotline gets wrapped up.

If were pureley going off the races you mentioned it will be like this. A good thing to know that there are atleast two worlds as far as we know. That being Chloa (the fantasy world where the succubi and vaila live etc. The place you can enter via the portal on the ritual site) and Ugly Chloa (the human world where the college is). In chloa you have Demis (humans but a different name for pretty much the same species) and in ugly chloa you have humans.

In both worlds you have humans who have dormant abilities wich if trained will allow them to become a magician aka someone who uses magic. Not all humans or demis can do that.

Then you have succubi who are in essence beings that live of the life energy of others wich they gain from for example sex etc. They mainly feed with their tails but can ingest it also through their other openings aswel. Mouth vagina etc. Succubi are a unisex race. There are male and female succubi. They just like magician are able to use magic but as far as we know magicians are better at it. There is a way for magicians to become succubi but we do not know how (the queen of succubi probably turns them).

Nightwalkers are a specific "race" wich are not naturally born. But they become one by going through a ritual of wich the details are a bit blurry at the current point in the story. This ritual is done in relation to the goddess Niht. We do not know if the same ritual exists in Chloa (it probably does) but so far the only nightwalkers we met are people related to the gastate college. The things that we do know about the transformation are like this. You start as a human then you get put through some kind of ritual afterwards you become a "pearl". Once you are a pearl you have to be regularly fed (human) meat and drink alot of blood. You probably start out as something not resembling a humanoid at all (since its said that according to miss cho you only need the head for pearling). In the process of becoming a nightwalker you first look like a more feral being and you only react on instinct. (look at early julia for this case and also at the moment right before she fully succeeds the pearl fase aka killing alex) After consuming large amounts of sustenance you will either fail into becoming a proper nightwalker and become a "failed pearl" or become a proper nightwalker (regaining most of your sanity). This ritual can be repeated multiple times resulting in a increasingly stronger version of a nightwalker with the max probably being a "apex nightwalker" as the game files calls them (miss cho, miss macky etc). We know this because trent has already been pearled multiple times. And it becomes harder to fully form back to a normal humanoid form every pearling. A nightwalker is able to harness the power of blood to do a form of magic. They are not like magicians at all and are only able to do blood magic wich is part of their patreon deity niht.


As for the main two gods we already know that we have: Niht aka the needle eyed goddess who also represents blood. She probably also represents death itself . Then we have magnetia who is the goddess of life and growth. Ayleen studies her and magentian stones are a tied to her. Then we have purplehead who is kind of like a judge deity who gives you godlike power if you pass some sort of weird requirement. And if not sends her henchmen after you tormenting you untill you are a empty husk. Aka a death sentence.
