unbearable need and an untapped market for h-games unless you can read japanese
also i understand the target demographic but theres near no good f protag games in english, i want more variety from western devs
yeah I agree. I do feel a femdom game from a western developer would be a change of pace in a good way for western civilians. Like number 7 said, idk if there are very many that exist…… I would love to help with that, unfortunately the only thing I can do is write. Lots of fantasies in my head, but I know nothing about programming and the brain work behind games. I could just help put scripts together.Finding good F-Protag femdom games that are in English is like uncovering the ruins of Noah's Ark, shit's impossible to find
its ok these devs dont know anything eitheryeah I agree. I do feel a femdom game from a western developer would be a change of pace in a good way for western civilians. it's not a rule, games like league of domination and reincarnated into submission are made on RPGM and have seen consistent updates since they released. Why is it always the RPGMaker games that get stuck in dev hell anyway? It's literally an engine made to streamline the process of creating a game as easy and code-free as possible. Do they all just up and decide in unison to add some custom made plugin to this pile of scrap? Or are there some weird and fucky bugs once your game gets to a certain size that RPGM can't handle anymore? Or is it all just a trap and RPGM just doesn't work on a baseline, so once you've sunken in enough time and effort, you have to actually engage with an engine that simply doesn't work à la fallen cost fallacy? I don't care about what Teary's specific problem with it is/was, but why is this such a constant across the board for games made in this engine? I want heroin.
No, deadass, ToT, Gladia, Katalist, ANLIS, Afterlife, Magical Camp, Succubus Crest, and whatever else won't come to my mind right now. Wtf is this engine's problem? Is RPGM the first proper artificial intelligence and has started to rebel against us? The fuck is this shit. I want heroin.
Thank you for the recommendation. I was looking for new bdsm submission themed games to play.i was starting to get bored with the ones I have downloaded.it's not a rule, games like league of domination and reincarnated into submission are made on RPGM and have seen consistent updates since they released.
that said, from a development standpoint, the more freedom you give the player, the more bugs you have to watch out for.
just having the player move around a set of maps creates a lot of unpredictability. even more so if you add a battle system, a semi open world with a day/night system, custom menus, minigames and so on.
I think this creates frustration, which leads to burnout and therefore slow updates or straight up abandonment.
but at the end of the day, these games stand out in the first place specifically because they're not just another visual novel.

If I had to guess, since most people who use RPGM don't know how to code, they have no idea what is reasonable and feasible (see Teary's idea of having an enemy that could follow and interact with you in every location at any time) and since they don't know what they're doing, the game gets buggier and messier with every new addition (making things more and more difficult the further development proceeds). Why is it always the RPGMaker games that get stuck in dev hell anyway? That is if the update even existed.
First, as somebody who does know how to code, what he wanted (with the Tormentors) is not even actually that difficult to implement. By default, the engine allows you to create events (the enemies moving towards you are all actually Events as well) that can follow the player. He can also make them intangible to the terrain (so that they can follow the player through solid object, if he so wishes). He simply needs to add that event to each Map he wants the player to be hounded by them. I can implement that shit in less than 10 minutes (provided he already has the interaction On Touching the Player already done of course).
To play the devil's advocate here, no one knows the exact specifics behind the latest delay, someone just mentioned the tormenters thing a while back, but we all know Teary has never been one for communication and peeks behind the curtain, so chances are it's definitely not the only thing delaying the release and there's more going on than just that. But yeah it all ultimately still boils down to Teary's laziness, mf doesn't even bother to correctly set the tiles passability.JakeMSG put it really well, i genuinely don’t think there was a shippable update- even if you’re an awful programmer you can get an llm to spit out less jank ruby code for you because its a kiddie language. And it makes no sense for him to walk back on his promise of shipping just with the chasing enemy part cut out till he figures it out.
all in all sad really, its a fun game and the art grows on you
