Someone made a carbon copy of NLT's lust epidemic, however its quite the opposite where cg and characters were all different but the goddamn complex story is the exact same with hardly any differences, but it does get many plays and that thread is quite active, however sice you want to take already made cg's its uncertain if people will play it

Seems kind of slimy and lazy. I mean there's nothing stopping you from doing it, but I would never play something like that.
So got to ask do you play games that are based on other people's works such as those based on air bender, Naruto, Disney works and so on?

Those also are making use of another person's IP(intellectual property).
At this point it just sounds like splitting hairs.
In truth the only real issue is the legality of doing so. Two ways to make it legal. The first is get permission. The second is make the work as a mod that over writes and removes the original files of an installation thus avoiding the legality of distributing the images.
