It really sucks there hasn't been a public update in like over a year, and surprised no one has released a cracked version of the patreon version

There are a lot of rumors in the room. Surely you can't take everything for granted but ignoring all of it would be stupid. So let's see:
1. The original plan was to have three playable characters (the beefy one we can play right now, the athletic cat we can fight against in the arena and the chubby one who takes a leak in the woods) but now it looks like you can only play the first one cuz the dev team wanted too much that can't be done with the resources they have.
2. The love routes outside the arena fight get reduced too and not only the amount of NPCs you can date but content for each one of them.
As i said there's no 100% proof for that but i learned my lessons about being too trustworthy with Patreon so i decided to only watch it but not invest money anymore.

I know some people might not want to support it at all for monetary reasons, but I'll just advise as per the patreon pledge text: $3 you get access to the updated versions of the game and "You'll have access to this and future updates even after you stop supporting the project."
I have stopped supporting them on patreon. I just checked and can confirm that I still have access to the updated builds. The only caveat is that you will need to have an itch.io account and link your patreon to the account. You may also need to install the itch app on your computer.

I can't keep uploading the exp. Is that normal, or is it some kind of bug?

It was just an explanation what the acronym DRM means. Almost every protection can be bypassed.
