VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Kimberly's Life [v0.13] [SpaceBall1]

An excellent game for the Corruption/Blackmail fans. Actively keeping eye on this one.

Pros:
+ Blackmail & corruption is explored (Personal bias)
+ Art is good (cute MC & Sophie with realistic body proportions) ,
+ Storyline is believable
+ English is good (with no spell errors so far)

Cons :
- The MC goes from being a virgin to having sex with randos/ getting naked to panties in a bar within a span 5mins.
- Slower updates

Recommendations: (in order)
-> The corruption of MC being more gradual, eg for bar scene- initially it can be wearing risqué clothes, then more lewd clothes (which require more convincing/ blackmail)
-> Exploration of Sabrina and her friend being more of a bitch to MC and humiliation of Kimberly in school
-> Possibility of branching to continue/dis-continue a particular branch i.e. to give option to shut down sex with particular characters eg. principal/homeless folks/etc.

Overall giving 4 stars since it does more than enough to peak to my interest to track the progress.

This is the Ugly Bastard game we need.
Beatiful young virgin abused by several UB guys.
POV of a female protagonist is the way it should be done.
Cherry popping setting is great also.
Pathetic young UB set up by the UB old man.
Everything seems great.
My main complain is about the portrayal of Kimberly being too simple.
Just hate and disgust all along.
Maybe the author wants to make her slowly corrupted.
But for now there is no mixed feeling in the sex.

I considered rating this train wreck lower, but like a wreck I can't look away. Kimberly is one of the hottest rendered characters in any game. Full stop. And really the only reason I continue to follow this. The story is terrible, every fabrication for blackmail is ill-conceived and could not possibly work in real life. I do understand this is fiction "fantasy world" type stuff, as all the stories on here are, but many have at least something related to how the real world operates or at the very least some logical rules to allow suspension of disbelief. Early in the story options are presented to allow the ugly old bastards to get what they want, but some trivial thing occurs and "oh well, we can stop here, but next time we're going all the way..." which just comes across as an excuse to create a false build up to some sort of climax. It falls flat and feels contrived. Overall the render quality is ok, but it weirds me out seeing her little 10 year old brother with a 5 o'clock shadow. The sets are bare bones and lighting is fairly static and overall the graphics have serious room for improvement, which makes Kimberly even more of a miracle as far as attractiveness goes. It is obvious she is the center of this world , and may be why Kimberly looks like she was purchased at Tiffanies, and everything around her was purchased at the Dollar Store. Kudos to the dev for creating that stark contrast with such limitations... it drives the point home that Kimberly is every mans desire. If the story and scenarios were more clever and appeared more thought out, I'd grade this a 4 or 5 star. As is, I have started running the text on a higher auto rate, just to watch the scene unfold and imagine my own story to how this is taking place. Good Luck to the dev, for this offering and any future developments. I may not read it, but I'll continue to watch.

Kimberly's Life [v0.3] is not a game but as a kinetic novel it pushes all the right buttons. The main character Kimberly has no easy life. She is a pretty and innocent girl getting blackmailed into lewd situations by quite a few old disgusting men. I almost feel sorry for her. Unlike in many other games the way our girl is being forced into corruption is plausible - probably because Kimberly's thoughts and feelings are being shown.

The renders are quite good. The model used for Kimberly is gorgeous.

You shouldn't expect anything more than depraved story with lots of old men molesting a young girl. But if you like this you've come to the right place. Definitely one of the better kinetic novels on f95zone.

Having finally played the game now, can say that in general it works and seems to move in good direction.

Are good enough for characters that matter to us, Kimberly looks especially nice in comparison to other women. So in that sense, whenever the other characters compliment her and single her out as being the best looking it feels believable.

I am definitely not a good writer, nor is English my first language but I wanted to comment a few things. As a whole the writing is good enough but can definitely feel awkward at times. For example: "A little while later, Kimberly is arriving at school". It is a sentence that when I read it, it somehow bothers me. Maybe just the fact that it exists in first place? We know she is going to school and then next see her there, so already starting with "Living in a trailer....." would be sufficient enough? There were other cases like this where sentences individually felt a bit off but to me that is fine, as long as the thought itself in the message is fine.

Pros:

The setup for her situation and motivations is believable enough to set up her corruption path. Unlike the japanese porn level of stupid "Oh, they have a video of me masturbating" or "They took a picture without my consent, guess I have to become a sex slave now", despite having a million options at their hand. In here there is urgency, she has only one friend and yeah, has to manage school, work and taking care of little brother and her mother. Sure, there might be options for her but it is a porn game and this scenario is good enough.

What I liked the most and what was done really well was Kimberlys inner thoughts towards the older men and how disgusting they feel to her when they obviously stare at her or try to force themselves on her. I could not immediately remember other games, where it was done so consistently.

Maybe the only thing I would have preferred was more comments towards her first experience with the dick. Think she just said "It's gross"?. Would not mind seeing more more of her negative thoughts towards how it feels/tastes/looks and. Feel like it would be a good contrast later to when she is fully corrupted (if this is the path for her) and how she then actively craves for it and loves their dicks.

As last thing I would comment that I liked to see how Kimberly actively showed her dislike towards any sexual actions and also actively trying to get out of those, especially how she found the excuse to not do things with grandpa for one evening because she could herself watch over her brother. It makes the slow steady corruption all the more rewarding.

Characters:

Can't say too much, have had little time with most of them. I guess the main 3 ones are also the best: Finn, Skroob and Jethro. Also bunch more introduced in short amount of time and honestly could be too many but as long as there is focus on select few, while the rest act as support to the main ones then it will be okay.

Then as a little side comment I also liked how Kimberly was given different clothes for school. I am a sucker for corruption that is shown through changes in clothing as well. Where it can initially get progressively worse at her work places/school and then later carry on to her life outside of it. Like her choosing skimpier clothes willingly in every day life.

It's nice to see a developer so passionate about his project. That always bodes well for reader satisfaction, unless of course, you're one of those who can't understand that not everyone has a Disney budget and retiree time on their hands.

The premise is simple, dark, and fun. It's a "what if..." story that allows one's imagination to run wild with possibilities. The characters are either beautiful, or beautifully wretched. MC is a bombshell who stubbornly persists in her naivete despite every red flag warning that bad people with bad intentions are at hand.

This VN is about a gorgeous gal trying to just get through life, unaware of the fires that she's setting in the hearts, minds, and loins of every man she encounters. SpaceBall1 goes into all those places and pulls that story out and presents it here for everyone to see and enjoy.

The corruption and debauchery is rampant and juicy. One had best be prepared for that upon entry. There are other VN's on this site that take a more realistic look at the subject, but this is intended to be more of a fantasy as one should be able to easily see by the caricatures of the old men. In other words, if you're willing to go in looking for that odd couple of fun and degradation you'll find it here.

3 stars for me cause:

pros:
+ many creepy old man which is very welcome
+ a female mc which has a solid not too doll like face
+ solid renders
+ good english and good visible text
+ not too confusing or too long till some action happens

cons:
- all girls especially the mc could be much curvier (reference here are girls like daval3d girls for example)
- she gives in a bit too easy with no choices and a few choices would make it more spicy
- not a big fan of her haircut even its okay
- not the biggest fan of the other girls faces - but if mc gets improved i wouldn't mind at all

Let's give it some time. I really wouldn't rate it more than 3 stars right now, but I liked its first iteration (hometown trap) and I don't want to lower the average too much being the first ratings. But honestly I think some things need to be improved.
The renders are correct, but with nothing that stands out today. Pretty simple and flat actually. But they work. Female models are good. The masculine ones are very ugly, but it is something sought after and it seems fine to me.
The story is very similar to Hometown Trap. It's basic and not too original, but I don't expect anything dazzling from a porn game either. Correct for me.
Gameplay is non-existent. I'm already getting used to that, even though I still think it's a waste. Why not make a comic if there is no gameplay?

In general, as I have already mentioned, it is a correct game without anything that stands out. It really does not deserve more than 3 stars because it is there, in the middle, in the basics. Comply without further ado. But we will give it 4 since it is starting.

I don't ordinarily review a first release, especially with five stars, but I want to balance out the other reviewer(s) giving one-star just because they don't like the genre.

This is a game about a bunch of old/ugly guys harassing the female protagonist. There are lots of games in the genre, and fans will approve. It's bleaker than most, maybe even more than the dev's other game -- the protagonist is definitely motivated by blackmail/etc. rather than lust, like most games in the genre -- but personally I think it's refreshing compared to other games that try to work outrageously illegal harassment into real life storylines, not to mention make the woman LIKE it.

The writing is not subtle, but it's written by someone fluent in English, which is a big improvement over many other games.

Personally I think this and the dev's other game could have still worked in the same story -- have the old guys plot against both to add them to their prior conquests as one big town harem -- but devs are their game's most important fan and they should do what keeps them going.
