i am yet to learn why so much people are agaisnt the dommcaid change, i know a lot of you guys are into rapeish stuff and that it has been a staple of basically all platforming games that have come out. But really, calling the game a complete failure and stop supporting it because you now need to press a button to initiate sex? the dialogues might be cringy, but thats basically all dialogues in any kind of pornographic media. Its inevitable. Even the "deep" story they are going with is most probably going to be cringy at some point.

Cookie is making a really great job with this game, the animations are good, the game has actual gameplay and its not just a jumping simulator, doesnt have a bug and the ones that are found get eliminated almost immediatly.

this is a blessing considering how many furry games get dropped in 3 months, or take years to update, or some are just outright scams like BBS.

I also don't understand, made a post criticizing this backlash when it was still fresh, and I still stand on the opinion that people are overexaggerating about this (although I have to admit that I was very unpolite on my first post).
It's not like subcaid was, like, really rapey or anything: the hold animations were all "consensual" enough, and were mostly Kincaid trying to resist the urge rather than being forced into it, plus the sex animations and dialog on gameover screens didn't seem rapey at all, on all of them Kincaid just seem to be enjoying it. Just compare Kincaid with, I dunno, Pure Onyx, where you can clearly see the girl being forced into sex, and not fully enjoying the sex because it's not consensual, the difference is day and night.
And gameplay wise, you weren't even forced either, you literally had to wait 2-3 seconds during the hold animation in order for the sex animation to start, pretty much same thing as having to initiate the animation by choice. Either that, or people are really bad at mashing left and right.

I understand not liking the changes, people have their fantasies and stuff, if you want to see rough foreplay, good for you, but since the domcaid build this thread has turned into a complaint box with everyone making the same complaint as if it was the end of the world. Games where >everything< was changed, with no need to, like the LOK Remake, I can understand the thread turning into pure complaint, but this one is way out of control, honestly.

It is just the feel of the game, having us initiate the sex just completely breaks any feeling thaat we the player are the submissive partner, in summary, the game completely changed to a dom centric game. Doesnt make it bad objectively, just not for the subby players, and considering the game was built on that subby system it now feels like some sort of mod to a good game.
But in time, the game will be changed to fit its dom centric gameplay and will feel much better. And fitting, until the game FEELS like was made for dom focused play it will be weird. Like mentioned before, a dominant player mod basically.

Also people are upset because its rare to find a genuinely fun, high quality platformer game with dub focus thats not a male being assaulted by females but the other way around.
but i guess its just my perpective... The feel of the enemy being the one to start the sex vs being us. Totally changed the feel, and the way we think and play the game., and dont even get me started on how risk was handled, made a sense of sex being a punishment or consequence, that plays into the subby mind aswell.

Sorry for the lengthy post, wasnt my intention but i just want everyone that ndoesnt get, at least to understand why so many people disliked it, i didnt even mention that one of main reasons they changed was because of being too much work to design mid combat grabs, and probably the "Rapey vibes" that patreon loves to ban because of.

The name of the change is DOMCAID for crying out loud. The only reason kincaid is seem subby now in domcaid is because they using the SUB animations, to redo the sub animations would be absurd, so from here on out it will look much more of dom player game.

If there was another game out there that catered to us, and had reasonably similar quality to it, we wouldn't be complaining about it in the first place. It's hard enough to find a game that has a female VA in it that isn't a pack of recycled voice clips, let alone good frame by frame animation. The game took a big step backwards and the justification for it has not been able to hold water. Furthermore, people will defend things if they invested their money into it, even if it is terrible. Some people have dumped a lot of money into supporting this game, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are telling themselves it will work out in the end, while suppressing their dislike for the change.

I decided to download Pure Onyx just to see if it was in any way a good substitute for Kincaid. It isn't even close. The sex scenes in Pure Onyx are bland, by-the-numbers CG animations without much personality. The inescapable reality is that games like Kincaid are islands of quality in a sea of shit, and I don't want to watch it sink beneath the waves like so many other games.

Well, I guess it would be possible? Regarding the different levels, I don't know how many and which "biomes" the devs are going to implement. We already have the jungle, the second level will be snowy mountainranges if I remember correctly.

Saw a gallery and got reminded of this game. I played one of the earliest builds before and was considering breaking out the wallet to actually support more than 1 game for once. Then I found out about the Sub -> Dom change.

As for my two cents of why the change kinda sucks: the player character is an explorer, so boning all the natives is her kinda not really doing her job. (If that's not the case, sorry, I don't really remember what the story was, that's the way it felt regardless) But now instead of the sex scenes being her trying to resist the urge to fuck the horny ass natives, it's her actively going out of her way to do so, which straight up feels like it doesn't fit with the presentation of the game, on top of not fitting with the gameplay that got people to like the game to begin with.

Thanks for the warning at least, guess I'll have to try and find something else of this quality
