I'm stuck at the big slime. i can't turn on or off any crystals, i can't go back to the previous area, i can only roam around the slime village

I thought I was stuck there too. If you continue through the slime area, to the place where you have to jump the gears, there is a ladder which is blocked by a gate. When you enter the room, before jumping the gears, there is a pressure plate on the floor that will open that gate for a short time, so you need to go fast and get there before it closes!

p.s.

You get an item in the next room that will help you out! If you accidentally use it up and think you are stuck...again...which I also did, you can punch the wall to the right to recharge it.

Edit: For anybody else looking, I found a quote from the game dev that said "Heya! Neither areas can be accessed in this build! ^^" So, these two areas are currently unreachable.

I have some questions of my own: Finished the latest version, but there still are a couple of items I can't reach, pictures attached. I'm not sure what this place is called or what to search to see if anybody had the same question, but how am I supposed to get to these?

I think what people are saying is true; I've beaten the original Metroids, so this style of platformer is fun to me. But it takes forver, and a nonfunctional map or tips or pointers makes navigating a pain in the ass. At least the art is good (I just grabbed a gallery save lmao).

Oh no. There should be the blaster in that room, and you hit the crystal on the right to charge it. I see in the screenshot that you have 5 blue dots under the character portrait. Those should be your charges. Try pressing the Q button and see if it shoots some type of laser thing. If it does, you can use that to shoot the yellow crystals, like the one on the left side of this image, and they'll light up and activate.

Once you have the blaster, which should have been collected here, there is another room you can go to, the one where the bat-girl is, and activate the yellow crystal there to activate a pipe system that links to various rooms and a flapper station.

i've had the blaster since the start. shooting the crystals does nothing.
if i were to wager a guess, it's probably because my save is from an older version, so, as much as i'd like to avoid it, it seems my answer is restarting the game

Possibly. I just did a new playthrough, so I wouldn't have had any issues like that. I think, though, that you can run through the game in a few hours if you know your way around. Not an ideal solution, still. Sorry that happened to you.

In the conversation I had with JuanokuG4 above, we discussed that room a lot. It's this room in the attachment, lower left corner of the map, in some underground place. I think the closest flapper station is "unnamed area".

Iirc if you take the elevator from the kobold village down you need to find the kobold and sabertooth tiger making out in a bush and interact with said bush.

Search in the web told me that someone had similar error and these shaders should not work on the video cards prior to 2012, but my video card is from 2016, so... it should work, I guess.
Brief look into the previous version shows that there was no file "scribble_license.txt" in it, so I guess whatever Scribble is, it is a pain.

mouse with keypads cause this bug, in similar games too. solution - turn off device in Device Managaer or simply turn off mouse
