Hi all,

I have a VN in production and here you'll find occasional updates on its progress.

You can name the main characters, but for the purposes of this thread, the older redhead will be called Megan, the younger, Sam.

Visually it uses Honey Select, with some Photoshop illustration and edits. Playthrough is the usual series of multiple choices, some of which could affect the story further on.
There will be end-games, but there are very few, usually you'll see them stumbling towards you and, if you fail, there'll be a way to re-try.

I think stating planned/upcoming content can be a spoilerfest, but understand there are triggers out there. So it involves corruption, but there'll be no ntr, rape or bestiality.

Though if anyone from Patreon is watching, it was anything immoral, just that you could decide your relationships to each other. Like 'friend'. Or 'slave'...

So here's the thing. Once I had to remove defined relationships, I actually enjoyed the problem solving and allowing the viewer to decide relationships. On an interactive, 'coding' level, I loved it.
Unfortunately, in practice, I needed the user to input the relationships between the main three characters. Early feedback showed this was a pain. I also found, on a narrative level, that it hemmed in the dialogue.

So now there are no stated relationships, but hopefully enough leeway that you can read into it what you want.

It's not ideal for a specific genre, but hopefully the characters and storyline will carry you along anyway.

I like the models and art and it's cool with zombies and death and killing, in adult games can't really judge the animations yet, untill there will be a sex scene, kinda all that maters, when it comes to animations, in my mind but eerything lokos great so far looking forward to more!

Thanks tonny. Animations will be a limited number of images, not a webm etc. This is mostly due to the edits I'm making to each image. Though I try to pay attention to timings, changes within the situation, etc.

It might be a while before you see any sex scenes though (outside of handjobs and maybe, perhaps, a blowjob). But hopefully it'll be worth the wait (don't hold me to that).

Really enjoyed the art (especcially the tanned girl). Much better than 90% (maybe more) of the others Honey Select based games. Also, one character with big tits without exaggerated size, what I really like too (hope this continue if more characters come later).
About this Zombie thing. I'm not a really big fan, but I appreciate seeing different stories on games. A lot of games coming out this days are like copies.
Anyway, good luck with your work. On paper it already seems better than a lot of releases. I hope this one find sucess like many others.

PS: English is not my main language but I believe you could understand what I tried to say.

In my mind the sex scenes dont have to be fully animated, just some back or forth movent is good enough the thing you did with the handjob, is great and to me it dont matter, when the sex comes, if the story and teasing is good but it is always nice with sex scenes tho

But that is just my opinion of course. And they are like assholes everyone has one lol. but i will definatly watch and play this Vn til the end. Keep up the good work. Oh and a game like this doesnt have to have incest in it to be good. Just look at Life with Mary that game is simple phnominal and they are not related at all.

Thanks maner. This is written as a short VN, so only the two girls with a cameo from another. However, it'll be linked (or crossover) with other planned stories. These will feature different girls, and you'll play a different character.

I have a keen interest in zombies, or post-apocalyptic worlds, but here it's the drive for characters to perhaps make choices they wouldn't if death weren't a daily hazard.

As for success, hopefully I can find the time to complete the VNs that I've written and drag you all into the murky depths with me.

The undead, explained

I've had a few questions about the reasons, the use and the deal with the zombies. So here's a quick summary about these smelly varmints.
The backdrop to Kindread is the zombie apocalypse. But while I have an interest in the post-apocalyptic genre, here their existence is used to push the characters into decisions and acts they might not do if they weren't facing death every day.
Well, at least speed things up a bit.

It's a VN about your relationships within a group, that just happens to be set in a zombie apocalypse.

Walking speed
I'm all for the old school shambling undead, but I also appreciate that recently undead may be quite nimble (before whatever passes for rigor mortis sets in).

Dead don't swipe right
I had considered that if the primal instinct to hunt/feed is intact, what about sex? But it's not something I'm interested in writing, so no zombies with erections.

Virus protection
In the Kindread universe, a bite can be a death sentence. Or not.
The virus is transferable in the usual ways, but like all communicable diseases, there's a slim chance you may not catch it.
You also have to have the virus (active or dormant) to turn.

Death comes to us all
While you can control aspects of the storyline, there is a larger narrative happening that's outside of your control. Much like life.
Only I'm your storyteller and there will be character deaths.

The latest update (Chapter 0) has everything so far (it's a short version of Chapter 1).
If you download the teaser in this thread, you'll see an older version with different images and less scenes.

I'll replace this at some point with the updated Chapter 0.
