The chance to get it is random, overall 33% chance to get one of the items (outfits, ice wand and plasma lighter). I'm considering adjusting chances as more rewards are introduced and adding guaranteed rewards after some time but for now it's just luck.
I havent received any of those items. Just to be clear I am talking about the non Advanced course.

You should be able to get them if you buy new upgrades, those will allow to trigger new scenes during the day
