RPGM - Kingdom of Subversion [v0.29.2] [Naughty Underworld]

The art and animations are great. The plot is interesting at the very least, but that's pretty much all the game offers in terms of good things.

The RPG Maker design and programming are horrible. The assets used in the game are ugly and look like the default ones. There are tons of uncategorized assets that make the character walk on water or over houses. The fighting feature slows the overall gameplay down and doesn't add anything fun. The map design looks, as stated, already horrible, and I felt like playing the default introduction demo game of RPG Maker. It's not just empty and boring, but also huge.

I said horrible programming, and I mean it. This game has bugs everywhere and even some game-breaking ones, unfortunately. It's such a shame, really. The game has the best foundation to be great, which is its art and animations, but making it into an actual game was a failure. RPG maker is by no means a difficult engine, and I'm unsure if it's the artist or another one programming it, but I'd highly advise looking for someone who has actual experience and know what they are doing.

When you are high enough level, you instantly kill enemies that are lower level when you walk into them, something I wish more RPGs had

The mini games to use your moves seemed novel at first, but became stale after several hours of combat.
I didn't feel like I needed to grind at all, but the mine difficulty jumps up substantially, this could probably be smoothed out some.
Cons
I went in with the expectations of running into bugs as it's in Alpha so it didn't frustrate me too much, but there were definitely some rough ones. The mines in particular messed me up by having the carts take me through walls or not reset after teleporting, etc. Most of the time you have to solve it with dimension hop, so I'd recommend they just make that ability a lot cheaper and then ditch the cart riding altogether for now until they can get it fixed. The second bug ended my run after about 6 hours of playing. Once I hit the next level of corruption in town, whenever I tried to go into the trade district, the screen turned black and I couldn't press anything or move to get out of it and I'd eventually have to reset to get the game working again. It's probably a result of the map and music changing at the next corruption level, something must be off there.

Overall the game is definitely worth a shot if you like the art you see and like tbs games, just go in knowing you might hit bugs and will need multiple saves.

Is there any walkthrough for this games ?? Because im playing this game on joiplay and when i see the quest its just a black.. i don't know where or what i must do on the quest?? Kinda stuck on some quest

pretty bog-standard as far as RPGMaker games go. gun to my head, i couldn't tell you a single thing about its storyline, and i certainly wouldn't be able to pick out any of its girls from a police lineup, nude or not.

for what it's worth, the motion-tweened animation is very nice, and scenes aren't too tedious to unlock. sexless turn-based combat in a porn game is an unforgivable sin, though.

The game has a strong focus on corruption with sex scenes interspersed. It was well paced although the beginning was a little slow. I really enjoyed everything released so far, and I look forward to this game joining the [completed] tags.

This game has somewhat of a following but personally its really only the art carrying the entire thing. The art and the animation. The city is a bit too big, the gameplay is not so interesting, the fighting pretends to be unique but really it just makes it more tedious. Instead of just clicking the ability you would like to use, you have to do a minigame every single time you do anything. At the beginning that seems interesting. But considering the game has an awful lot of grinding it gets very tedious, very quickly.
Characters are not particularly interesting, story isn't either. If you take out all the Hentai, you'd have a very boring, very one-dimensional RPG with most of it being regular RPGMaker assets.
The art and animations are great but really why make a game then? Because as a game its fairly boring. Its basically just a CGhunt of the bad kind.

Bravo, bra-fucking-vo, holy shit! Man, I have been sleeping on this fucking game! I'm not even done with it yet, so... maybe you could argue this review is unfair, but holy shit it's just been consistently good so I'm writing this review while it's fresh on my mind. To start, the plot:
Cool, so what about gameplay? Well there are two parts - overworld and combat, and they are both woven together very nicely without getting in each others way.
So, pretty high marks on gameplay. What about the shit that matters, the H content? It's good dawg. Really fucking good. There are lots of girls you can fuck, and they all have a fuck ton of content and a good number of repayable scenes too. You start with "lower-level" women (inn keepers, random rich women, etc.) who help you get connections to the Queen's right hand babes (elite soldiers, high priestesses, etc). I assume these gals will eventually get you to the queen. But yeah it's all slow and sexy corruption all the way up. The art is always amazing. A good number of scenes are animated but not all. Audio is present, the dialog and writing in scenes is top notch. Idk what else to say, it's great.

There are a lot of features and elements I am leaving out, and honestly they're all great. While I can think of things the dev could do to improve (ex: more animations, impregnation if it doesn't exit, group scenes, etc), I can't really think of anything wrong with the game and there's just so much right with it. I rate it highly among the best games on this site and definitely recommend it. I will be adding it to my list (if I can fucking find room lol).

You often hear people say that mediocrity is the worst place to be in entertainement, as you can have way more fun with the highest highs, and the lowest lows of the bell-curve. Unfortunately, this game seems like it's aiming for the middle.

The art here is the selling point, and it is reasonably high-quality, with a few animated scenes, even. A lot of the character-art is great, even if it sometimes rides the line between overly erotic and absurd comedy. I also like how, in theory, this game has a very strong theme of mental changes and corruption, that's tied to the gameplay. The story and characters are all designed around popular corruption-themes and fantasies, and there's even a little bit of attempt to tie lewd-proggression into gameplay, with the different XP-currencies that you collect. There's also been a rough attempt of incorporating some kind of unique twist in the battle-system and...

...and the rest of it is stuff you have all seen before, if you've played an RPGM-game.

I think this game could have benefitted from a big reduction in scope, because the good ideas and art here just aren't built on with good execution in writing, gameplay, pacing etc. The stories are all written very simply, the character-paths are awkwardly paced, the slow-corruption isn't given the time to breathe, and the control-aspect of the corruption is as simple as clicking an option to buy a skill in the skill-menu, rather than connecting at all to the gameplay, or even having the story seriously deliver on the fantasy of mind control. (EDIT: "...All of the time." After playing some more, I actually think the problem is more inconsistency in executing on the theme, than a full lack of it.)

The world is uncomfortably big, empty and dead (as is tradition with RPGM), the combat is just filler, and barely connects to the themes of the game or the story, and the character-quests consist almost solely of moving from A-to-B.

About the story, well, it's likewise a mixed bag. There is a little bit of spice in here, a little bit of effort, but not too much. For example, the premise of the MC being a goblin who's been transformed is barely utilized during the story, except to give an in-universe reason for his hentai-sized cock and recovery-time. Sex scenes are generally better when the context they're put in is stimulating, and the game kind of struggles with pacing it's scenes, especially since most scenes are accessed from the open world. The character-writing also struggles to escape the standard-fantasy model, even when some worldbuilding-efforts are brough up sometimes. There are upsides to using the recognizeable archetypes, but even so the good parts mostly come up during the last parts of each storylines, having been fleshed out deeper into the developement.

Less characters, with a more limited, but more detailed world, with slower proggression supported by more interesting gameplay (like putting very heavy material-costs before each upgrade), that actually connects to slowly corrupting ~5 main heroines in ways that ideally provide feedback to the player and the world of the changes you're accomplishing...
What this game would have needed first and foremost is design, and a smaller scope would also have allowed to be more lenient for mistakes, which can always be improved upon and addressed in future projects.

As it is, it's a game that has some good character-art with a shallow foundation supporting it.

This game is a 4.5 out of 5 for me. The best part of it is the number and quality of H-Scenes for sure. For a game that has only been in development for less than a year and a half (as of v0.15) there are plenty of them and they are done and drawn (and animated) really well. The story is also pretty interesting and the characters have some cool designs. My main issues are the fact that many of the questlines are fetch quests, and that while traveling the world there are some things that appear interactable (a rope leading into a hole for example, or a sword in the stone) but actually aren't. Other than those two things though this game is pretty enjoyable, and I definitely recommend it .

The game is superb in all aspects: the gameplay isn't boring as well as being both easy to play but still has some challenges here and there. The scenes are phenomenal, they aren't limited to one type of positions and the variety of girls body and personality is just icing on the cake.

A must try if you're a fan of corruption games!

Well...more of what I assume is an amphibian or whatever Titania is, that aside there is a great diversity of girls to fuck, from your elves, to your goblins, to your kitsune so people into that are already a point up.

Gameplay itself is standard RPG, not too difficult and if accompanied by one of the girls is as simple as running into an enemy and they die. Puzzles are not that difficult, the flame one took about 12 minutes for me or thereabouts and that's probably the most difficult one.

Sex scenes have a variety of positioning and kink, so one character is into mommy play, another is a bit tsundere and denies that she wants the D so people might like that, some are animated as well which is a plus.

Story is essentially you are a goblin that is subverting a kingdom, if you couldn't get that from the title alone there is a short bus waiting for you just outside your window right now, please log off the playtime computer and this site thank you.

For me the best scene is where you cuckold some asshole husband of the tavern wife and you go all Fred Flintstone and make him listen to the bedrock every night.

Try it out.

An excellent game. An RPG with a more dynamic combat style. A funny story, with good dialogues. A great character design, with different very good scenes. I hope that the development continues with good proposals.

The developer has a sufficient grasp on how to write erotica. Doesn't make encounters too easy. There's a lot of space to learn, but he/she is on the right track. It's a big buggy, and not that well programmed, but most of the time these issues don't affect the playability of the game. The art work is okay. Some scenes are done fantastically, others are just okay. would recommend.

Updateed Review for v0.27.1

I think my biggest feeling coming away from checking this out again is that there was a huge amount of missed potential with this game. Truthfully I'm not a huge fan of corruption based games in general, but I actually thought this one was alright. At the same time though, my opinion never got deeper than "alright."

The game actually has a pretty good premise. Born half-goblin, we are discriminated against on the daily and are about to be killed when a demon Queen shows up, saves us, and offers us a chance to change things. Essentially, with the help of her magic, we're sent to the Kingdom of Lumis to corrupt it up to the very top where the Demon Queen's arch-nemesis sits on her throne. Sounds fun, but beyond some interesting ideas and story beats the game never takes any of it deeper. Everything is too simplistic to really enjoy beyond being a decent enough time killer.

The game features rather typical RPGM combat, but with the added chore of attacks requiring player inputs. I'm literally never going to melee attack because I don't want to button mash every time. Magic requires a series of arrow keys to be hit, and ranged to stop a slider on a bar at the middle. Honestly the combat in this just feels like filler. Most enemies are trash mobs and the more "important" fights don't have much to them either.

The main gameplay loop of the game though is corrupting women. For every target of corruption, we're given a quest chain associated with it. But again, it's just too simple for me. Everyone is basically self contained, and most parts of the quests are just fluff to get to the scenes. A good chunk of them are just fetch quests, puzzles, or literally just advancing time a day. There doesn't seem to be any form of alternative paths (such as more loved based corruption vs full deprived corruption), or any form of choice really. Everything is sort of streamlined in a way that gives the minimum amount of context to make the scenes feel rewarding enough to view, and that's the issue for me.

It sucks for me personally because I do value writing a lot. Some of the stuff in this game had me thinking "wow that's kind of interesting" and could have been pretty cool plot twists or tense moments had the game done more with story. But it's just not that kind of game. If you're looking for more of a quick fap/fuckfest/whatever you want to call it type of game, and like corruption themes, this might be one for you. The art does its job and I always like the inclusion of monster girls. However, this isn't a deep RPG in any sense as of this version (though to be fair, maybe it isn't trying to be).

TLDR - Decent corruption game, subpar RPG.

Ok I am going to make this semi-breif since the reviews here shine well enough already.

This game is fucking kick ass.

Usually when I download a game, it follows this pattern:
1) Play for 5 minutes
2) Get bored, skip all dialogue
3) Cheat

But every element in this game is so polished, I legitimately couldn't wait
to reopen my save the next day. I like the writing, the story, the world is fucking HUGE and it feels alive, all the art is really clean and attractive (uncensored fuck yea)...

I legitmately thought this game was finished until I saw the [coming soon] text bubbles. I cannot believe the amount of content.

Of the few problems I have with this game, here are my biggest gripes:

1) Bugs. Towards the end I got some game crashing bugs with certain H-scenes, causing me to lose unsaved progress. Not at all unexpected, since the game is still in development, but a bummed moment regardless.

2) The combat is a little shallow, and after the first few boughts with enemies they become pushovers. I like the idea of incorporating "undertale" style combat elements into the RPGM battle system though, if this was fully realized I would love the shit out of it. (i.e. harder puzzles, something for taking damage, etc.)

3) Skip text. I wanna speed through scenes I've already seen. Shift to go sonic mode would be lit. Page Down key.

4) The method to skip time of day is a little wierd, its fast but it feels a little too OP. If there was a bench in the park that said "skip time?" I think that wold feel more appropriate. idk tho.

Yea, 5/5. I wanted to finish this game. I have rarely ever had that kind of motivation, not since Karryn's Prison. Great Stuff.

Review as of Version 0.11

It's been a while since I last played this game. I think the only content back then was the night elf, some of Titania and I also remember the Kitsune Noble. Now it has quite a bit of content. Even with me using a save editor to make combat a trifle, I spent hours on this game without repeating content. I didn't keep track, but if I had to guess, I would say it was about 9 hours. Of course, not using a save editor to make combat easy could extend this by another 2-4 hours.



Pros:

+Attractive Artwork- Clean and looks good

+Gallery- Something that should be in every game but the ones that don’t have it, you really notice.

+Seasonal Content available year round- I haven’t played a lot of games with special seasonal content, but the ones that I have made you wait for the season to come around again before you can access it. This game gives you access to them year-round. The only pre-requisite being that you need to be a certain affection level with specific characters to activate them.

+Next to no grind- the only thing in the game that will slow your progress down is combat. I circumvented this with a save editor so I can’t comment on if you need to grind levels at certain stages of the game. But I can say there are other games where making yourself max level, damage, and health; there’s still grinding in collecting things. While this game has missions to collect things, they aren’t complicated or long.

+Some Titania scenes are animated- I loved the 3 animated sex scenes for Titania. I only wish other characters had something like this and hope there will be 1 or 2 for each character in the future.

+Simple quest system- When looking up a quest, it easily explains what the next step is. You don’t need to have a walkthrough open in the background to look at just to advance at a good pace.

+”Instant Combat”- when you reach a high enough level, coming into contact with lower level enemies just makes them disappear and you get the winning loot instantly for it



Cons:

-Repetitive combat- the little combat I experienced before editing my save file was boring and didn’t have much point except for some small loot for crafting. The way you initiate your attacks with little quick time events was new and interesting for a time but it wore off fast.

-Some poor spelling- There were quite a few times where there were mis-spelled words or words that just didn’t fit in the context of the sentence. Not a huge problem such as a bad translation would be but it’s just noticeable enough to disrupt your attention wondering if you read that correctly and re-reading it to mentally make sense of it.





Sub-Con: Doesn’t affect my judgement but something to know.

No Pregnancy/Impregnation- The only reason I’m making it a point to put it on this review is because there are a lot of sex scenes that vocally emphasize cumming inside everyone, cumming into their wombs and some remarks about their womb being full after multiple creampies. With all that and the fact that this is a corruption game, it surprised and disappointed me that there’s no current plans for Pregnancy/Impregnation. Not sure why the dev isn’t doing this. Even just the verbal threat of knocking up that motherly dragon milf and a “sperm attacking an egg” sticker at the end of a scene would check this box for most people.



Overall a fantastic game and one I’m looking forward to see continue. Would give 4.5 stars if the option was available.

No serious issue other than soft locking a character by going to the village when you're not supposed to go there so soon. Other than that, great content so far and would love to see where it goes, because the potential of the ending and any other side quests/details to add. In short, minor fix of locking village prior to event and great potential with detailed content so far; I look forward to updates and think it is a solid.

I got roughly 14hours of quality content from this game in it's current release 0.8

Thankfully there was not any weird grinding that you normally see in these rpg's, the quest where simple to do and was filled with a plethora of lewd scenes throughout them, which could be revisited in the memories menu in the pause screen so you never had to worry about where you should save to revisit a scene. The story was interesting enough that I paid attention during the dialog, and the cast of characters is so diverse I'm sure no matter what your taste is you would be able to find something you are into. Never misunderstood what to do or where to go because the quest menu explained exactly what I needed to do in order to progress with a character. Overall think this is a amazing adult game and look forward to future releases. If I had one wish it would be for the scenes to be animated but honestly the art is good enough that it doesn't bother me and if it slowed updates it probably wouldn't be worth the effort. Either way enjoyed my time, Thank you!

Gameplay... well the gimmick here is that every single attack you make in RPGM is a QTE. Only two things make it bearable. The fact that the melee attack QTE is to spam enter which means I can just use an AHK script that spams enter to win the entire fight. And the fact that after you overlevel an enemy it skips combat and lets you instantly harvest them for XP. so you can run around harvesting the lower level enemies to overlevel the tougher ones and avoid combat.

The seduction is supremely sexy too. Honestly I must of coomed at least 20 times to this game. I feel wrung out. It just compensates for some bad design choices (like RPGM) with sexiness.

I do feel guilty at how utterly degenerate the plot is. From a meta perspective I guess the player is also being corrupted alongside the heroines.

+ Important NPCs have an exclamation mark, which is a nice way to know which NPCs should be talked to
+ Quest list gives excellent hints for knowing what to do. No walkthrough needed
+ Fast Travel within the city is nice
+ Low grind, but also very little depth
+ The H-scenes are images with text subtitles. They're good but it's hard to compete with animated scenes that a lot of games seem to have

Cons
- Combat is very basic and there doesn't seem to be much gear or combat skills available. You can't do anything with blue orbs to unlock new combat skills. Nor does there seem to be much of a need for combat. This game probably started as a combat RPG but evolved into a puzzle game over the course of its development.
- Only the weapons shop seems to sell anything at all (a pickaxe as the only item) and it's useless. The other shop looks like it should sell single use items (like potions) can't be interacted with
- City's map is overly big for its function. Many of the NPCs you need to interact with and the buildings they are in could have been placed in a single smaller map for less walking
- odd bugs (church door to the bell tower that keeps opening if you try to walk through it but you can't actually walk through, walking on water tiles under the dock tiles, some minor objects that should be solid can be walked through in Sister Mary's original church, and there's an out of bounds glitch which puts you're character in state where you can walk through anything)
- No H-scenes with the evil queen yet

Suggestions
- a Load option in the menu would be nice. Instead you have to Exit to the main menu to just load a save

Conclusion
This game is an average RPGM, with some puzzles. Most of the problems are solved by learning the right spell. The writing is meh. Later down the line, progression depends on solving puzzles. The H-scenes are ok. There's nothing glaringly bad about it, but nothing particularly outstanding either.
