i can only give this game 5 stars, it has great art which is being updated as time goes on. interesting characters and character developmen, the sex scenes are good with varied CG although there is NTR you can choose whether or not you want it. You can choose how you want to let the story play out (kinda).
when it comes to bugs etc. Haseo is usually on top of it and will fix it by next update, so although there are bugs you can easily reach out and they will be fixed.

I came to this game for nostalgia, and stayed for the story. All great magic fukerys going on really kept me interested, and I love the occasion humors here and there.

There are a lot of events going on after the Mushroom Island. Most NPCs are unique with distinguished characteristics that make them all memorable in their own ways. The actual gameplay is quite simple and doesn't offer much outside of story parts so I grabbed myself an autoclicker and breeze through them. The intro portion is be a little cliché and might throw off new players, but once you get past that the game makes much more senses. Support features like skip tokens and relationship tokens are great, kudos to the dev for implementing them, helping old players to quickly get back on track because this game is really frigging long.

The developers are really active on both F95 and Discord, casually providing supports and insights into the game. I can certainly feel their dedication to this project and can't wait to see how this game turns out in the far future.

I tried to give it an honest try, but so much about this game bothers me.

First and foremost, the intro screen is nostalgic. Most of the game is nostalgic, but that's basically where it ends if you're familiar with maplestory, because it feels nothing like maplestory. You create a character (with no options to change anything), name them, and load in...

But there's no character. Why would you implement the beginning like that, if you weren't going to show us the character? Years of maplestory basically stunlocked me upon first loading in. I thought I might've bugged it out or something and came back to the thread to search for any answers. The answer was basically a mixture of this from the various posts of the devs answering questions:

You're dumb, you can't read, once you "understand it" you'll "discover its charms", there is no character, it's a point-and-click (google it), get good.

Right, well, anyway, I learned that it's a point-and-click game. Right on. It's still incredibly jarring to have created a character with a character sprite in a world filled with characters who also have sprites, just to be a floating hand, but if you insist that your "one-of-a-kind game" is better, for this reason, power to you I guess.

The character mentions being naked, or having a sword. Other people react to them, telling them they're naked, or that they have a sword. But I can't see any of this, there's a clear disconnect from what I'm seeing and what they're saying. It breaks the immersion before it even begins, and I found myself trying to see past it and look toward the positives instead.

I didn't get very far. It's cumbersome and slow, there isn't much to immediately be gained. I grind mobs, I grind characters, and I don't particularly enjoy either of them, even if they're wearing the tired skin of a popular game they're ripping from.

It feels like I'm stumbling around in the dark, and not because I don't understand it, but because none of its systems or ideas are clicking with me in the first place. When the writing also falls short in the first thirty minutes, (such as some lady saying the age-old 'I'm not wearing panties! Wanna see?' before abruptly stripping), I can't be bothered to continue.

With that being said, this obviously has a group of people who enjoy it. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them, but good luck to the devs.

    Review is based on v.0.2.7.7d - v0.2.7.8c - around 80% completion

    The Best:
    • Every update, no matter how small it is presented are actually major and significant, often more than two pages worth of additions and meaningfull changes. None of them detrimental to the game. In the 6 years this game has been in development. 3 years of them seen a raise in quality. Every updates still improve the game greatly.
    • Over 200+ sex scenes with 50+ different characters, all with great and whimsical dialogue. Expect writing similar to japanese VNs.
    • High quality art accompanies the sex scenes. Its not just one image per scene but at least 5-6 and sometimes more.
    • Checks boxes of good hentai games. Huge cock MC and Huge tits/huge ass girls. Overemphasizing on the good stuff was a good move by the devs.
    • You can be a normal guy (loving everyone equally) or be nasty (corrupting everyone). You can also unlock stuff so both parts are available at once so you don't miss out.
    • Very long game to see all sex scenes, expect to spend between at least 60 - 80 hours in this game. Unlocking all scenes takes 2 minutes, so if you don't want to play this game it gives you all the options.
    • You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

    The Good:
    • Maplestory aesthetics, art and sound is included.
    • Gameplay reminiscent to oldschool Maplestory.
    • Character designs in the porn CG all look great, some good angles in some scenes
    • Gameplay follows your typical MMO quest structure, theres in game guides and everything for easy to find solutions.
    • While at the start of the game you weirdly feel detached from the gameplay itself as you don't see your own character sprite nor can you interact with the world as you could in the original Maplestory, the amount of stuff to do makes up for it. After a few hours, that detachment somewhat subsides...

    The Bad:
    • ...however, the said feeling of "detachment" still lingers on every now and then. Maybe adding minigames (where you can see your character, think climbing/parkour minigames) or the gamemode I'm gonna mention later in this review help allivate that feeling.
    • Weird approach to introducing characters from different anime and franchises. I have no idea why Asuna from Sword Art Online is in this, even if the game kinda explains it. Its so random :LUL:

    The Ugly:
    • Nothing

My opinion about this game remains unchanged. A clear 5-star no questions asked.

As one of the best games on this site, the effort you can see the developers put into this project shows. Its best described as a sex VN and a clicker game.

The thing that stands out the most, apart from the dedication of the development team themselves, is how the writing changed. Past dialogues get reiterates into more to-the-point plotpoints so it fits with their modern perception of how the writing should be done. The porn CG, with huge differences in quality in previous updates, has seen almost a complete change. To the point where they almost replaced most of the art so the quality if all similar.

As a parody of Maplestory, the game itself features graphics from the game, and its world is entirely remade so it fits into a porngame while still being faithful to the original material.

This includes assets like enemy sprites, NPCs and the UI from the original Maplestory are in this game. Not a big deal considering theres a lot of porn parodies of games out there, and here its very faithfully done. The writing doesn't take itself too seriously too.

There is one very subjective thing I don't like and that its that you cannot see your player character walking around and interact with the environment but I get why they do this sort of thing. After a while playing this game, this feeling of detachment vanishes and you feel more immersed as the game is clearly designed to be played this way. Still a seperate mode where you can see your character would be nice, even if that means its more tedious to play.

Speaking of gamemodes, the game has different difficulties now. Normal, Easy and Noob. Noob gives you ways to unlock all sex scenes by playing the game for around 2 minutes. Easy unlocks everything quicker and Normal is your typical MMO like experience.

Even if you didn't enjoy playing Maplestory back in the day I highly recommend trying out this game for the great porn content. 5-Stars and nothing less is what the game clearly deserves and what other developers should follow suit.

This game not only has an incredibly playable, functioning RPG game with thousands of equipment +* enhancement scrolls, a thousand or so areas, and a thousand or so enemies to fight.. Its also lewd storyline with so many well scripted scenes with well drawn art(more on the SFW version later) It has very good artwork, and on top of that the scenes are amazing. Yes SFW storyline is there as well.. But its very clearly early, half of the game seems to be missing, no NPCs. But play through the "Kings Fall" scenario (like your supposed to) and you will see a remarkably polished game the likes you rarely see around here.

This polished and complete on release? You gotta be kidding me, they must mean business. Can't wait for future content from them.

Entertaining gameplay, a long and engaging story, a plethora of interesting characters, and about a bajillion optional sidequests all mark this as a game that I'd recommend to others. The only real gripes that I have with Kings Fall are that it suffers a bit from a bit of a lack of proofreading (kind of a lot of typos and extraneous apostrophes, which occasionally distracts me from the dialogue) and it suffers a bit from changing artists partway through, but neither of those gripes have been enough to stop me from coming back and playing through the new content every few updates for the past year or two. I'd also like to give props to the game's devs, who frequent this thread and have been very friendly and great about helping out when people get stuck for one reason or another.

Kings Fall is v0.2.5.5d at the time of this review.

the game is good its a point click rpg sandbox, it might be confusing at first when you cant see your avatar, but you move with point click and wasd to move screen. (for some reason while moving with wasd try scrolling your mouse up and down increase the move speed).

there is totally still alot of possibility of events and character to come out since the origin was so big.

what's good about the game now

    1. quite a lot of story telling.

    2. a good amount sex scene.

    3. fun hidden riddle.

    4. different path to have your way with partner npc (love(ex. vanilla)/corruption(ex. prostitution)

    5. very active game developers, you can seek help from them if you have bug in game in the discussion!

what's bad about the game now

    1. confusing quest hint(?) sometimes I had to spent times to find the quest npc or to trigger the quest.

    2. no log of what's had the npc said, sometimes I skipped a good amount of words and accidentally skipped the important message and I had no idea what I need to do next.

    3. there is still space of improvement of character portrait/ sex scene.

    4. there is no guides currently(quite confusion where you can have multiple choices of quest to do and you don't know which you should do first, sometimes you ended up challenging some harder mob that you aren't suppose to even meet at that moment).

    a little advise
if you doesn't like point click game then you shouldn't try this game, but if you are neutral or like you can try it. There is too much possibilities this game can be and I personally like this game. + the developer group are nice.

So after playing for over 20 hours (and still not close to finishing most of the story released so far) I can say this game is incredible, large, has dozens of scenes and dozens of hours of story content to date.

The buildup of relationships is slow and good, while many girls are very erotic and unique in character design and style.

There is some grinding involved to advance some quests and level up, but it is managable over time in my opinion.

This game is NOT suitable for those who look for short and fast hardcore games.

For me personally my favorite characters so far are Athena Pierce (please make more sexy scenes for Athena!) and Leonore.

There are drawbacks but they are minor in my eyes, mainly that the game as of the current build still needs more proofreading, update some of the older lower quality character CG's to newer ones, and needs much more animations.

TLDR; If you are a fan of MapleStory and Erotic games YOU MUST PLAY THIS, this is the definitive Ero MapleStory RPG experience in the indie industry to date, and must receive more patrons and support ASAP!
Kudos to the developers and keep up the good and steady work!

Ok so these are my thoughts about my experience with this game so far. After an hour i had really had it with this unintuitive crap mountain.

First a story element with some background and stuff. Ok nothing mind blowing but that's fine. Then I had a lengthy tutorial shoved down my gullet and learned to press the shortcuts key and memorized them but I'm still fucking stuck at the first screen after talking to the npc. What the fuck am I supposed to do to progress this game? The quest log gives no clue, I cant use the map to move. I'm stuck here. Pressing arrow keys moves the camera. U wot mate? Do I not move the character? I might be retarded but so is this introduction. What a catastrophic failure to read a new player and set expectations. I just wanna know wtf I'm supposed to do to progress. Oh and I just paid 100 gold to travel to the screen I'm already at. Wow. Just wow.

I'm real close to rage quitting in disgust at the programming right now. Somebody save me please.

20 min later: ok i started clicking randomly and found the glowing cirlcle after a while. Not stuck any more. I got real baited by that "Sam" character just standing there. I was certain that was the MC since their hair styles were the same. I'm getting heavily overloaded by everything I find. What the fuck is a "dark" class? Why shouldn't I pour stat point in that shit the guide was talking about? The tutorial elements are starting to feel overwhelming. We'll see where this goes.

40 min later: Ok so I equip some items. Click the glowing rings. Then click some enemies. I die for some reason. What is attacking me? Is this tower defense? Do I need to keep them from coming at me? Where is "me" btw? OK so I start over. Tedious "walk" scrolling to where I was. I click some shit again then I die. Repeat. Repeat again. Repeat AGAIN. Do I heal when I go back to my bed? What's going on? Am I supposed to poke in and out of the zones? This is confusing as fuck.

60 min later: OK that's it I'm out. It's been an hour. I haven't undestood, or accomplished shit. Story is nonexistent so far. I got to see a nipple and a weirdly drawn naked crotch on the Admin. There's nothing keeping me here any more. The click "battle" where the enemies hurt me by looking at me weridly wasn't fun.

    Closing thoughts to dev:
Good luck getting your act togethere because my god are you gonna need it. The barrier to entry is too damn high. And for fucks sake stop overloading new players with information they don't really need at that particular moment. I don't fucking care about skill points if I don't know how battle works and I haven't grasped that my character is somehow "there" but I can't see him and he takes damage for some reason. Why can't I see my health bar while at the village? Am I still low or have I healed up yet? Will I die if i enter the combat area again? Dear lord take a hint and look at another successful game in this genre. What's going on here is so unintuitive I just rage quit your game.

Not exactly my usual cup of tea, but this one is a gem.

Extensive and in depth story, good gameplay and mechanics, great writing and humor.

With the patch provided in threat, essentially bug free for a solid week of play.

I'm writing this review based on this game being out for almost a year now. There's not a lot of content, and barely any lewd content. In my opinion, without lewd content, this is just watered down maple story.

To add value to the thing it's emulating, this type of project has to add something new. In this case, that would be a good balance of lewd content with the RPG stuff. But right now, it's apparent that most of the effort was put into the RPG stuff. Well, that's fine. But fans might as well play real maple story if that's what they want to play, and devs might as well make an original RPG if that's the type of game they want to make.

Long story short: 2 stars because the pixel art is nice for the villages. But -3 stars because it all falls flat without the adult content that is supposed to be the main experience, in my opinion.

Great game with funny and great writing and decent 2d cg. Also loved the fact it is based on Maplestory. The developers are great at communicating and updating the users and deserve more attention. Would like it if they would improve the rate at which they make new updates, but I understand that they are a small team and 2d artwork can take more time than prebuilt 3d cg.
