Dunno if you aware of this bug but after interacting with AIs menu for the first time i was unable to use taxi menus. not major tho, relaunching the game fixed it
its because the taxi and the AI menu uses the same module.
most be the switch that tells if to use taxi or the ai menu. and that its not initialized correctly (I think taxi has not a specific set menu since taxi was created first without the thought to add more, the AI menu was added later)
should be easy fix. thx.

a question. is this the end of maggies content? it didnt say it was at the end for this update to my recollection. because ive finished the sleepover and cant find maggie anywhere. Did maggies quest the other day and took a SS so id remember it whenever i got around to idas questline.

Yup, but this next update will continue that storyline so the wait isn't too far off

well i just reached the end of the content and loved playing through it and left a review. Some feedback i excluded from review cuz it doesnt really belong there.

- Magnus fight in perion would be a tad more enjoyable if you could atleast damage him or something, having to wait to lose my hp kinda took away from the otherwise hype moment. I dont mean making him beatable, but just letting us chip at him would help engage the player and add on some tension. (worst case you could add in a scripted loss that triggers the cutscene if he gets to 75% or something then 50% at the next area and so on).

- weapon and armor shops all felt pretty much useless almost all game to the point where i stopped bothering to look at em and any weapon and armor drops were basically just money waiting to be sold. dunno if thats intentional or not but kinda takes away the feeling of getting good drops from grinding when the only valuable drop is ores so you can craft the next tier of weapon. the only place i saw armor that was better then some stuff i was wearing was mings shop.

- i sorta talked about it in my review but the active skills are pretty bland, maybe a larger radius for the "aoe" one and multi hit for the knights strike. though even just an animation that plays when you use em would help spice them up

- some characters felt quite neglected, valerie in particular

- a portal to L house in homebases bedroom would be great, lot of the innital quests have you bouncing back and forth and instory the characters are given a portal device to travel back and forth so why cant we, the player.

- a way to search or filter mais scroll shop, its a nightmare trying to find scrolls for whatever piece you need when youre looking at 3 different 10x8 grids of scrolls that have no discerning features

- for challenge mode itd be nice to have more access to drop rate scrolls because sometimes youd get shafted trying to farm quest item and it wouldnt drop for like 20~30 min

- lucy or cid selling mushroom town scrolls so you can easily get back there, needing to get em from an encounter boss sucks esp when they are only one of many items that can drop.

-dunno whats planned but would love for more content with the spirit (if you dont corrupt her) in the future, i assume corruption has more content already due to you bringing her home?

Magnus fight
you should be able to fight him, as he start weaker and get stronger more u hit him.
but I can take a look if he got the wrong ID/map configuration

weapon and armor shops
the 5 towns are connected to the 5 jobs, so each town sells equips/weapon for that job.
lith harbor has beginner shops, and a special gacha for your build. ming is specially created for your build.
maple.x is the engine, kingsfall is the story. theres a lot to say about that, but basically its a mismatch.
the initial idea was to let you choose any of the 5 jobs. if u try "freemode" u will understand (its old and unfinished so only play it to for the other jobs)

active skills
u will get more skills in 3rd and 4th tier. I need to balance the skills, as theres 5 more jobs and I don't want to make the skills too powerful.

portal to L house

theres none of that, even the mushroom town return scroll is manually created. it gets harder in challenge-mode for sure.

search or filter

will look into it

challenge mode

the finder coupon can help here. but the challenge is to create the 1/1/1 rates mode. if you ever played the vanilla pre-bbb, u know how hard it was. still I fell maple.x is much easier.

mushroom town scrolls

u will get more mushroom town scrolls the next update. and u can buy them in ming shop.

hmm maybe my dex was too low? not really sure how the accuracy works and i couldnt really find a breakdown in game. i pretty much dumped everything into int and sat at 50 str and like 40 luk

not sure how you trigger freemode because i dont recall seeing anything on char creation (just checked again) but yeah i did notice the theming of shops around their respective guilds.

active skills
u will get more skills in 3rd and 4th tier. I need to balance the skills, as theres 5 more jobs and I don't want to make the skills too powerful.
yeah i realize that, but i mean visuals and effects the skills are rather boring. as a player im not to concerned with the numbers side (unless the number are bad xD). as i said even simple animations would help spice em up, im sure there is something in the pool that could be used cuz a bunch were showcased in fightscenes

portal to L house
theres none of that, even the mushroom town return scroll is manually created. it gets harder in challenge-mode for sure.
i dont exactly understand what youre saying here. i was just suggesting that a portal to L house be implemented in the bedroom (or somewhere in homebase), as its tedious to go back and forth and there is an ingame lore already existing that creates portals to L house. Lania gives em out to cutie and cast and thats how cutie gets there.

challenge mode
the finder coupon can help here. but the challenge is to create the 1/1/1 rates mode. if you ever played the vanilla pre-bbb, u know how hard it was. still I fell maple.x is much easier.
im sorry i dont know what bbb refers to but yeah a way to get more finders coupons or something if youre playing challenge mode would help when trying to get quest items. or even a hidden buff that slightly increases the drop rate for x item if you have a quest that requires it.

mushroom town scrolls
u will get more mushroom town scrolls the next update. and u can buy them in ming shop.
yeah i think you mentioned that earlier, its just kinda odd that nearly every town sells return scrolls except the ones on starting island. Also mings shop takes a while to unlock and requires you to go lovers route

ok, I think the issue here is how I created maple.x
so, basically I wanted to mimic the "old era" of maplestory. at that time the "effects" where not as colorful as today.
u barely saw anything. for some people it could feel boring, as today standard the effects are very important. so its about taste.

I checked Magnus. just "opened" a .sav, a level 82 using a cane and I could hit Magnus easily.
I tried another char, a level 51 using the "slime stick", and it was miss all the time.
so yeah. I think u need to have a certain spell accuracy for "skills" and accuracy for "melee" attack or u will not hit him.
I try increasing "accuracy" and I eventually can hit him, but I get "guard", meaning, the damage is too low. u need +1500 damage or he will just absorb it. I can lower his defense a bit more.

portal to L house
ok, explain exactly what u mean. a portal from utah's attic to lania's home?

challenge mode
is made as challenge. for a first time player I recommend normal mode or even easy.
let's say u played the game and now want to replay it in challenge, u would definitely have lots of meso and items, so u can easily share them using the stash. the challenge mode will not be a challenge if u find all the items u need immediately.

mushroom town scrolls
the same is this. in the "vanilla game" theres no mushroom town scrolls, heck, u couldn't even return to mushroom island once u leave it. in challenge mode its harder, but in easy/normal mode u can fast travel using the map.
if u play normally and u unlock ming, u can buy mushroom town scrolls as many u like.

when u create a new character u can change to "free mode".

edit:
updated Magnus, he has now 10% of his defense instead of 25%
that should help, also, I forced his "level" to match the player. that help your accuracy.

Thank you so, so, much for the review and the kind words. All your feedback will be for sure listened to and given a consideration.

The L House actually does seem handy so I'll be adding the option for it, today. Thanks a lot and if you think of anything else, please let us know!

I'll answer what I can since baka is looking into the gameplay stuff.

- some characters felt quite neglected, valerie in particular
Yeah, it's a long road to complete characters. If you were a fan of Orchid, Sophia & Ayan, Maya & Camila, etc; you would be very happy. Other times it's waiting for assets and art before I can begin readding content and expanding it. Luckily for you, Valerie is the focus for July's update! She'll finally get her Lovers and Corruption Storyline while also expanding into threesomes with Rixxa since those are the two I pair up for a future Lesbian Storyline.

- a portal to L house in homebases bedroom would be great, lot of the innital quests have you bouncing back and forth and instory the characters are given a portal device to travel back and forth so why cant we, the player.
We're adding a brand new system this netx update that I call Mirror Echoes. If you see a Mirror, you can now click on it and travel to another Mirror. Home Base, Lania's House, and a few more spots will be added to the full system but it should help as you said. Thanks for recommending it!

- for challenge mode itd be nice to have more access to drop rate scrolls because sometimes youd get shafted trying to farm quest item and it wouldnt drop for like 20~30 min
I'll have to investigate this but not sure I'll have an answer for this next update.

- lucy or cid selling mushroom town scrolls so you can easily get back there, needing to get em from an encounter boss sucks esp when they are only one of many items that can drop.
We're going to be giving out Mushroom Town Return Scrolls from Mai, Nave, and a few more spots so you have enough until they are fully unlocked in The Saviour Shop. This will launch in next week's update.

-dunno whats planned but would love for more content with the spirit (if you dont corrupt her) in the future, i assume corruption has more content already due to you bringing her home?
She'll be getting a bit more for sure! She also needs her own Lesbian Storyline along with a threesome event with Athena who she is paired with on the Lovers Storyline.

That should be everything. Again, if you have more feedback, let us know!

fair enough

does non challenge mode get that much more xp? i was around lvl 45 when i fought magnus and was completing the perion storyline and actually had to wait a little bit to use the advanced skills cuz they got their own skill points (which at the time i didnt know about and horded my basic skill points thinking i could use them to dump into the xp boost skill as soon as i hit 50 lol). but yeah if non challange mode hits around lvl80 or so by the time you fight magnus then i suppose its fine. (as an aside i finished the game around lvl 56, couldnt really find anywhere that was great for farming xp, and alot of the xp seem to come from the battle dice giving 1% per second.
portal to L house

haso seems to be covering this, i was just suggesting there be some method of fast travel to L house.

I like games that pose some challenge, if there is a challenge mode or a hard difficulty i almost always take it. My experience with challenge mode despite never played before was fine, i got use to navigating the cities through taxis and scrolls (was annoying when your on one of the extra islands, like the penguin islands and cant use a scroll though). the mobs still seemed fairly easy to kill with the exception of farming a zone to long to get a bunch of prime mobs who occasionally attack you all at the same time and oneshot you. the only issue i really noticed is that sometimes you would get shafted farming a quest item and be stuck there for quite a while till it dropped, which isnt really a challenge its just tedious.

Also dunno where you see the character selection options that you have, when i click "log in" and create char all i get is the option to choose kings fall story and pick a name

(just made dawd to see if i could find anything)

this sounds great yeah and would be a big help. and poggers for the more spirit storyline! As i said before i really enjoyed the game and look forward to replaying it in the future when there is enough new content to warrant a full replay xD

ah ok, i assume this was how it was in maple story? as someone who never played maplestory, i will say that this isnt very intuitive if you are unaware it exists. there isnt really any indicator for it.

ah yeah that explains a alot, like how youre supposed to be able to get the achievement for lvl120 weapon crafted (and useable), i cant imagine the time it would take to reach lvl 120 on challenge mode, compared to normal mode getting 9x the xp.

we did have arrows before, but I removed it and u only see it from the little mouse blinking.
since free-mode is not updated, no quest-tracker, and buggy, its just for the curious to discover.

and yes, the bonus "skills" will definitely help u levelup faster.
the challenge-mode is how it was in the past. and it took plenty of time to levelup.
but, the monster has a dynamic-stat mode, meaning, they grow in power (and with that exp) once you pass them in level.
plus, the elite/prime mods gives u even more exp.
it is important that u change spawn rate to medium, as that helps.

On normal mode I was also sub-50 when I first arrived to Perion, and was around 60 when I fought Magnus. And yes, he had so much defense/evasion that I couldn't even scratch him. I get that he is supposed to be the "superboss" of King's Fall at the moment, but it sure took away from the moment.

From what I get, the devs are planning to introduce difficulty selection when you create the character.

use the mouse, above the "STORY" field. and right click.
Non-intuitive at all. How are you supposed to learn that THAT is how you start free mode?

Other western game devs:
  • Releases update once per month to once per 3 months
  • "we worked hard at the update." - 4 hours a week - 1 hour human work rest is chatGPT
  • "we redone a previous scene, added 2 sex scenes"
  • +1 gb added filesize
  • the sex scenes are chopped gifs and every image there is some 80 mb in size uncompressed bullshit
  • The sex scenes themselves have typos
  • The previous scene got some art removed to make it shorter and less fapable and worse than previous update
  • "UI update" - all important things to click on are now hidden and way more tedius to find
  • "New character added" - Some unfappable Daz3d abomination despite having a pool of 70 attractive premades to pick from

You guys:
  • Release whenever they feel like it, from one month to three month but every update adds like a extra novel full of content.
  • "Meh we casually revamped the game and make it more fun to play" - Actually made the game several times more fun to replay
  • added THREE DOZENS sex scenes - meh just another TINY 0.0.1 update for us I guess...
  • "The art looks inconsistent" - Decides to redo ALL art assets so they're consistent
  • "Our writing sucks balls, so lets rewrite and remove bloat to make it so much better" - Game reads twice as good now, one par with some light hearted/parody high quality eroge VNs from japan
  • Hundreds of fapable sex scenes
  • Artist also improved, team often decides to go back and change things so it fits the game like a glove
  • Game where you actually can tell the developer improved greatly, yet they still redo stuff so past content is in the same quality.
  • Previous sex scenes that were meh at best are hot as fuck now
  • "Meh just another day as porn game dev I guess"

I-Is this the power of an very rare actual good game developer? If this game is 5 stars now it would be 7 in a year :KEK: you guys are fucking crazy.
