Kink: Hyper, Rape, Rough - Yay or Nay?

As an artist and hopefully soon a proper game dev, I constantly complain about how hard it keeps getting to work with the more, let's say, hardcore kinks while still trying to make a living. As someone liking those sorts of genres I find it extremely annoying trying to come up with what to make because there is always this question hurting the creative process... Is this Patreon friendly?
A hyper futa netori game with the MC fucking everyone's wife/GF, often by force?
Playing as a big monster, the Demon King, leading armies invading towns and castles, you or your monster soldiers raping any women you find?
Don't bother with Patreon, that will get instantly yeeted into oblivion. And I thought pretty much anything goes on SubscribeStar but reading around here it seems it actually doesn't, they just don't enforce it as hard as Patreon.
Stuff like incest is also a problem but at least that's something easy to add in a way that can be patched later.
And then I thought... is there actually enough interest in these sort of things in the first place? Or the vast majority simply prefer the more vanilla and consensual content?
I mean, I figure there has to be an audience, after all, I think stuff like games from ONEONE1 do pretty well and are fairly popular. But since this is probably the biggest gathering of perverts, myself included, I wanted to see what people thought about it around here.

Well, I'd say this is me adapting but yeah, at this point I probably should just create a thread about the game in development as someone else suggested in another thread. Having said that, this particular thread is not just for that, I'm also just being more active around here and this is a general question I'm curious about beyond my game development.

You should be able to get an initial idea by searching through the tags you are considering in the latest updates page. That said, Icarus made a good point, start / make what you want first before considering anyone else.

First things first, yes there will always be a good majority of people that want Harder kinks, just look at the top-rated page on F95, most of them have Incest and rape, some even making mods to add Incest/ hardcore kinks that were removed. People will pay even for just that content. But we have payment processing companies to worry about. As they want to be on the good side of the government, even when that mean cyber policing harmless kinks in a video game. I would continue with SubscribeStar but have a back-up just in case.

Hakarlman, (you can search for his threads) was someone that wanted to get into game development but suffered from analysis paralysis in that he wanted to get all the info and data right to ensure success, but this meant that he never started because he's never gonna get all the data and info before starting, a lot of it comes when you start the project.

Ah, I see. Well, then I guess you really didn't read much my "planned game: Estate of Arousal" thread. It's a game I had already started but had to put on hold, it's just that now I'm also changing the original idea because my situation also changed. And that's why the questions. But yeah, I should have just started a thread in the dev forums, I just didn't think I had enough "set on stone" for that.

Do what makes you horny happy. And not for hippie, go-with-your-heart reasons, but for a very practical reason. The road to profitability is going to be long, hard and at times, very frustrating. Most of the time, the only thing that will push you forward is your personal desires to create the kinks you enjoy. Trying to cater to kinks which don't reach deep into your dark well of nasty desires is likely to leave you not motivated enough to push through all the way. To put it bluntly: unless you have inhuman level of self discipline, trying to appease the mainstream while suppressing your own kinks is likely to eventually make you abandon your game.

That is true indeed, it's why I quit being the artist of another game even though it was probably the safest choice for me profits-wise. I like it enough to play it but not enough to make it. So, I agree but also think if needed, like in the case of the idea not being Patreon friendly, one should try to compromise as much as possible. Of course, if there is really nothing you can compromise then it's probably better to just try other options but it's going to be harder.

One option that might work when it comes to the harder kinks and subscribestar, is trying to develop the game in a way that doesn't have them in directly, and have them offered as an "optional" patch outside of substar. As far as I'm aware, if you do that, they won't care overly much about what you do that's not monetized, and on the plus side, this would make it easier to release the game on Steam too.

This won't work with Patreon btw, because they're insanely dedicated to following what people are up too even outside of their platform, so trying this there would basically be gambling and you'd need an absolutely airtight distinction between your official account and the source of the "horrible horrible mod that you totally don't condone".

Obviously, pulling something like this off will be really hard. It'll take careful planning and flexible coding. However, this is the world we live in. Unless people do something about the governments and companies that are demonizing fictional adult content, then nothing's gonna change.

There's a small subset of the community that really enjoys it, and will go out of their way to consume this content. The majority of the community isn't oriented towards the kink and will tend to avoid it. It's therefore a niche.

Rape is probably present in upwards of 40% of 50% of eroge. It's not a kink. Sometimes sex happens to be agreed upon by both parties, other times by just one party. Most people don't actively seek out the rape tag, but on the other hand, most people aren't put off by it.

Two caveats would be:

Rape might not be uncommon in games and such but I think it's still a kink precisely for the same reasons it's touchy.

Hmmm... I think that might not help much, it's just going to show the reason why I have a hard time on choosing a theme in the first place. I do like quite a bit a lot of stuff. If I had to say one common theme then, yeah, it would be... exaggeration? Be it hyper content, size difference, etc, etc. I also have done more futas than anything else but that's also probably because that's the audience I got so I felt more inclined to do that. I mean, don't get me wrong, futas are one of my favorite themes, but I also really like tentacles and monsters. I also like to use male MCs in certain scenarios. Anyway, I'll try to put together a decent mix to give you an idea, but some might be a bit old. Let's seee...

Well I can say your stuff at least looks pretty nice . I would say do kinks and stuff that you personally enjoy the most. If you try and cater to others and end up focusing on stuff your not that into your work will suffer. And if what you are into is doing a bunch of different kinks into 1 game then do that.

If you are just wanting info on what people like, I am really into hyper ass sizes paired with super small waists, incest content, beast content, size difference, futa x female and impregnation. Hyper butts being my favorite thing for sure, which from what I can tell from what you have shown you dont really do. But hey if you ever decide to try it i would for sure give it a look.

Well I hope you do end up going to blender. I'll drop you a follow on Twitter and hope to see some giant asses in the future. Imo the best thing is small tits and giant ass and hips with small waist to give the extreme bottom heavy look.

Glad to see you have belly bulge already . So many creators dont Include it even with huge pentration and it completly ruins it when they do
