It's about damn time to get 5.5 . Nigh to no point in having a hotfix for a problem which you won't notice anyway due to using best-in-slot (also, only-in-slot) swimsuit and nondefault clothes which grant (or not?) buffs. Especially if next major update is somewhere nearby.
I still live with decorative armor pieces disappearing. Since 5.3 (or 5.2 even). Noone cares about actually fixing things.
Also, it became worse in 5.4.75: before some unspecified version, only a part of outfit disappeared.
In 5.4.75? All decorative armor gets removed. Tested by mass adding both Chainmail and Plate decorative armor to outfit, saving it, getting into the game with it, then taking 1 (one) step.
Quality and immersion, I dare say...

Is there a room where the character gets stripped and dominated? Or you have to installed a mod. Cuz every time the character gets captured there's only the "strip search " event. Just installed the game tho, and still figuring out the mechanics.

It's cool but any bondage is a death spiral, and some items are run-killers. Randomly got attacked after the mommy fight, then got a collar that kept taping me up, wasn't allowed to remove.

Yeah no those collars have been in the game for a while and honestly they require an 2nd run character due to sometimes the insane conditions they have to remove them for a fresh new character doing their 1st run. They are rare to find outside of the goddess's but they are around alongside other bondage that keeps applying new bondage with no way out since you can't cut the material with an magic blade.

It's why I take long breaks between playing the game as sometimes the game balance seems out of wack for the update I play so I wait for it to get a bit to see if something changes.

The other nonsense I found was that if the purple things manage to grab you and take you to the shadow dimension, you're gonna become an obsidian gimp for the rest of the run.

Almost bothers me that the only thing really possible to get free from at the start is the jail... only for that to literally be the only case, makes the "no I can get out of this" button, false hope.

You can escape from bondage but it's an pain to do so if you don't build your character to be able to at the start. Usually if I get one piece of bondage on me and I'm not able to be one turn away from knocking out the enemy I run to get it off, especially if it is something limiting movement or hands due to the combat debuff. Additionally if you don't get an magic blade or something that can deal with magically enhanced rope and such then you will struggle hard to escape as those usually fix themselves or add on more bindings. There's a reason why the very first ramble in the tips and tricks dump is "Creating a foundation to escape as many restraints as possible" and it starts at perks before moving on to spell points as Strong and Flexible are key although Psychic is flexible but butter as it means you don't drop stuff including weapons in combat and can use them as if you were holding them. The Super Strength spell is great too.

There's also starting scenarios that are just straight up game overs or rather "mess me up daddy" as the Cyberdoll and the Wolf suit I believe are the hardest if not impossible to really deal with as a result of balance changes to Super Strength and struggling. (Others cause long lasting effect like certain enemies constantly respawning and coming only after you) There are a few scenarios that are easy to deal with like the hogtied so much so I believe you can combine it with another scenario to get extra starting gear if you sell what you don't destroy.

The general consensus is that you build your character to get through one run and play that run SAFE as you can as after that run your character is much stronger and the 2nd run is massively easier and it only gets easier from there.
Problem with that is getting that 1st run sometimes since there's so many things that can occur which mean if you don't get lucky with RNG stuff like jail and some other things you can't recover any faster than you could if you just restarted. Which at that point you might be done with the game and no longer find it fap-able to even with mods.

Current public version can equip you a living collar when
- either Living Collars perk is selected so anyone can equip one on you
- or you hit specific negative rep treshold with any goddess
- or (with non-zero non-100% chance) you pass out (conditions unclear - probably becoming stunlocked for long enough and/or standing in a corner enduring molestation is enough)
- (speculation) or you got one by some "special interaction". Being taped then locked in by a coffin is one of those. Rope Kraken can do something like that too

Dodge the trails made by eyes. And avoid the boss monster.
(I'm under impression that you're playing some dated version... current shadow realm is not quite a walk in the park - but unless you're VERY unlucky, you shouldn't get hit by even a single Dark Desire effect)

Don't mention it in their Discord, ever. People were harassed there for less. By moderators.
I've tried assembling a potential changelog for things which could "fix" this game, without straying too much from (assumed) original developer's intent. Just, you know, if I'll ever have enough time to fix this thing which I had a misfortune to buy.
However, I've ended up with absolutely humongous list of changes needed.
Most of which were (estimated to) requiring ridiculous amount of work to implement.
One of least tedious things EXPECTED was cleaning up the mess with "difficulty to put vs difficulty to remove" values of restraints.
HOWEVER, since whole game is a colossal .js file, getting values for comparison and analysis (not mentioning actual fixing) requires writing a parser OR disproportional amount of manual labour.
A singular file with carefully sorted item definitions?
Screw that. It's adults' boring stuff. Better write as one pleases then blame some mysterious legacy code if something bugs out.

Discord is very open to suggestions and discussions, and it has bug report section.

Generally to remove living collar locked by runic lock is to use magic key, or if lacking such, call upon an angel via shrine and ask for magic key. then one can use the summoned angel to remove the collar with key and then remove it.
