tips on getting stronger and not getting bondaged into oblivion so quick?
What is the class you are playing with? Don't recommend mages if you are a newbie. Pick a fighter and focus on rising your willpower first.
Backtracking, introduced in this game, is broken imo. When things get awry, you can always go back, sleep and restore half of your willpower.
Raise reputation with factions by asking NPCs for bondage or healing them.
You can abuse the rep mechanic: if there is a sub, play with her, bind her, lower her HP and then heal (you need to learn the skill). Repeat.
Having a good reputation is very helpful. For example, you will be freed from a prison if it belongs to a friendly faction or rescued otherwise.
But be careful: a friendly NPC could try to recruit you. If you accept, you raise your reputation with this faction, BUT their enemies may become your enemies, thus making the game harder.
Refusing to be recruited may result in being restrained. It's dangerous if there are enemies around, but otherwise it's ok, you just need to backtrack to remove them.
If you are submissive, the game becomes more difficult. You can abuse this mechanic by provoking and retaliating NPCs, but be careful and do not kill them and don't be caught.
Avoid floors with hostile factions. Not only are they difficult, you may also worsen the reputation with them and with their allies. Try to befriend them instead: by becoming a champion of their godness or by rescuing them.
Don't open chests and don't accept quests until you clear the floor from enemies. Keep in mind that every door can be trapped, preventing escape. If there are no enemies nearby, activate every trap you see, because you don't want to activate them while escaping.
Another important thing: learn "super strength" skill. It lowers the willpower required to remove a restraint.
