I checked out this new version, compared to the old game it is much superior in terms of quality, but there is still a lot to be implemented.

Hello everyone, I'm a recent subscriber to Kishi on Fanbox.
Unfortunately, what I’ve seen so far has left me completely disappointed - both in the game and in its developer.

Let me break this down.

The concepts and characters behind the game are already over five years old.
The first character descriptions were posted on Fanbox on December 14, 2019.
The first version of the game (0.2) was released on April 22, 2020, and just two weeks later, version 0.3 came out.

That 0.3 build was apparently the final update — the game was then abandoned, as the thread title suggests. From that point on, there were no updates or news about the game on Fanbox until June 27, 2023 (at least none that I could find or that were clearly labeled as such).

Between June 27 and September 26, 2023, Kishi posted several updates about the game. At this point, the current game map was already complete, with key locations, static character images, and the core scenes in place.

Judging from the screenshots, there is virtually no difference between what was shown then and what was released as a demo in March 2025 — same scenes, same map, same events.

On January 12, 2024, a subscriber asked:

Q: What have you been doing all these years?
A: I translated the system.

In earlier posts, the dev also claimed to be reworking the game to make it more “comfortable to play.”

Then on January 22, he announced that combat system would be added, which (of course) required more time and pixel art animations

By April–May 2024, he apparently decided to include Live2D animations.
Posts from June 29 and July 9 show him redrawing character and NPC sprites, including new animations and environmental effects — all in the name of "improving immersion."

Then on July 26, for “variety,” he began working on an entirely new neighboring village with residents and their CG

On August 2, it became clear that he was planning pixel graphics for nearly every adult scene in the game.

By August 5, he mentioned he had just added an “H-status” window and an Achievements tab

On August 28, he updated the H-status system again and added a Favorites menu.

On September 2, he posted minor redesigns for one of the characters.
Then on October 16, he shared a new adult scene — though it’s unclear if it will ever appear in the actual game.

The rest of the updates around this time were mostly Pixiv request content.

On December 16, Kishi stated that he hoped to release a trial version of the game sometime in 2025.

Then, oddly enough, on January 8, 2025, he said:

“I just started Live2D, so I'll gradually learn how to do that.”

This was despite the fact that he had already been using it for almost a year at that point.

On February 20, a trial version was finally released - featuring only 3 to 5 Live2D scenes.
Later in March, it was made free to play.

On February 24, he wrote:

“If there is no problem with the schedule, I expect to be able to make various NPCs, maps, and events from March.”

Then on February 26, a [Seima Mode] was added, allowing character switching.
On March 5, he introduced a sound system where players would hear event sounds based on distance, adding even more complexity to development.

On March 7, it turned out the map wasn’t finished, so more edits were made.
By March 18, there was yet another Live2D revision of a scene.
And on March 25 (the day I'm writing this), he added a time system that would affect in-game events.

After seeing the changes made this March, I’ve come to a sad but clear conclusion:
The developer has no intention of actually finishing this game.
He's simply milking the fanbase for money.

I can’t understand how after more than five years, the project isn’t even close to the level of a basic adult RPG like Corruption of Village.

I strongly urge all fans and supporters of Kishi to stop giving him money, whether it's through subscriptions or pixiv/fanbox requests.

If we continue to support this kind of behavior, the game won’t come out in 2025, or 2026, or even 2027.

Thank you for reading.
I truly hope this post will encourage people to reconsider their support - and maybe even push the developer to finally take this project seriously.

You missed the part when he said circa 2020 iirc that he DROPPED the idea of making a game due to personal reasons and was super reluctant to even talk about it and just in 2023 or 24 dont remember well he started to work on it again as a way to repay his fans for all the years, alot of his earlier fans were there for the cgs the game was a plus bro

Yes, I specified in the text that I did not find any other updates regarding the game, most likely I missed it. Thanks for the information

Regarding early fans. His account on the site is 5 years old, the talk about the game started almost immediately, namely on December 26, 2019, there were already sketches and character sprites. As I understand it, he initially wanted to make a game, because the style of the account and the characters say exactly that. It seems to me that he is simply deceiving people by saying that the game is a secondary project. Now, when he is donated a lot of money and given money for fulfilling requests, he can say so, but this is betrayal

Based on my small research, I made a specific conclusion that Kishi initially wanted to make the game, but then abandoned it, and under pressure from subscribers, he started making it again 2 years later. But given that the game has not actually developed since 2023, you can forget about it. The free trial version from March 2025 is the version that was ready back in 2023, I wrote about this in the text. And only now, based on this version of 2023, he began to do something and, as you can see, complicate the game as much as possible with unnecessary details

It is true that game development that is too slow seems like it is not intended to be done, but don't be too quick to decide if we can force the developer to release a demo version that can prove how far the development of the game is. Maybe it can restore the trust of the fans.

We also don't know the condition of the developer, whether he is working on the project alone, whether he is busy in the real world, whether he has a lot of business and many more. I'm not here to defend the developer, in fact I agree with your opinion, it's just that we need more accurate evidence.

Based on my small research, I made a specific conclusion (...)
First you throw a Bible, then this half-assed statement. The audacity...
Making things short: you don't subscribe to Kishi because of the hrpg, but because of the CGs. The game was, and it is, a juicy side dish, not the main course. As an early supporter (not anymore), I can tell you that the game came as a surprise and went in the same fashion. Not big deal.
Now that you know how things are, it's reasonable if you don't want to pay him anymore. But please don't go around raising the apocalypse for the poor guy.
Oh, by the way. If you want to see what a real master milker (and I'm tempted to say scammer) looks like, just take a look at Technobreak's sheananigans. Holy shit!
