    - Small maps
    - Good customization
    - Good graphics (no uncanny valley)
    - Lacking gameplay

Talk to girls, roam around the island looking for 'conversation topics'. Use them to increase relationship faster. Kinda boring.

Decided to make this review after roughly 5 hours of gameplay + 3 hours in character maker. And well...

It isn't a bad game, it's just a very shallow experience. It feels like a DLC add-on to the first Koikatsu rather than a standalone game. While Illusion has implemented a few more things for you to do rather than simply talk to the girls, there still isn't significant effort put into the dating mechanics or the act of trying to woo a girl in and of itself. Unlike the first Koikatsu, you will no longer deduct relationship points by giving wrong answers, but instead, have the bar raised very slowly instead. In other words, no real penalty, just slow progress. Aside from that, you gain points that can be used to purchase a few things, but there isn't anything noteworthy with that system either. Now, that isn't a bad thing in my eyes, since the terrible MTL English makes it very difficult to understand what the H - E double hockey sticks anyone is talking about in-game. But it also means that there isn't much to do beyond the new gift-giving system, which also does not play a large part, since you can max a girl's relationship with you without EVER using that feature. TLDR, same shit, different day, with slight improvements in terms of content.

The in-game models and character maker are still as good as before, but there isn't anything new aside from modders providing more custom-made costumes. I'm still waiting for Illusion to implement the 3D collision and penetration system already readily available in a dozen other Japanese porn games, but it seems that is not the case once more. If you're looking for a good example of what I'm talking about, go play Insult Order, which is also readily available here in f95zone.

Music is Okay. Nothing wrong, nothing exceptional, it's just perfectly meh.

Sex scenes are... slightly improved in terms of variety, but is once more nothing special or particularly fun. I keep wondering what's so difficult for any Adult-game developer to find some examples of the Kama-sutra and get some inspiration from there? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some good ol' vanilla sex, but if your game offers 50+ sex variations and ALL of them are vanilla, that's just boring. A good example of creative fucking, would be SIMS 4 with the WickedWhims mod. There are tons of unique animations there with far better variety and way more interaction with the surrounding environment and props. Illusion really needs to start learning from them.

Overall, it isn't a bad game, it just feels like a boring, lacklustre entry. I kid you not when I say that the most fun I have in this game is creating the character, and not playing it. The only reason I even HAVE to play is to unlock all the sex scenes through progression so that the Free-H event in the EXTRAS can be used for my future fapping endeavors.

Honestly, this game is decent, but I think it's practically like a DLC for the base Koikatsu. ALmost same mechanics with the only difference being setup (island theme) and the topic system. Besides it's practically Koikatsu at its core.

I have been playing for around 4 hours with no bugs and it lacks a lot of things that AA2 did well.

There are no real interactions between the NPCs, when you go Hmode with a character everyone in the area disappears, and once the event ends they reappear and run away (contrary to AA2 where they could interact with you, either looking or stopping you).

There are no consequences of dating multiple NPCs, and even if you did something with one in front of the other, they really do nothing.

The different personalities mean little as you can spam any talk and it will gradually work towards the attractions %. No matter what I try, I can’t make the attraction % decrease, so no real challenge.

Until now no NPC has initiated an interaction with the MC, the closest one is one that confessed, but I had to already be talking with it to happen.

Now about looks, the improvements are negligible, while the clipping of clothes is still there. If it was on a custom character with custom clothing I would give it a pass, but having clipping issues with a premade character with the clothing that was chosen by the developers, that is a horrible level of Quality.

Hell, the Mc doesnt even have fluid movements with the arrow keys, it just jumps from one direction to the other as if skiping frames. The new positions in game does not even have a complete animation, as grabbing any part of the NPC while in position makes the MC invisible, and on the kiss interaction the NPC kisses the air while the MC just looks blankly into space, far from her face.

I can’t believe that Illusion can’t make a game that has at the very least the same quality of interactions as AA2 yet (not really counting Shoujo Ai as it has a diferent kind of gameplay), a game from 2014.

In my opinion, while Koikatsu (as a game, not a studio) was mediocre, this is even worst considering the little improvements there are in it.

All this is just my opinion after playing most Illusion, and other similar company games. Also, I would give the game a 2.5 of 5, but I gave it a 2, as I cant give it .5 ratings.
