RPGM - Completed - Kung Fu Grand King [v1.0.1] [Aburasobabiyori]

    Story/Characters: 5/5
I really like the story and the characters. I was never bored of the interactions and the situations the MC are being put on. I had fun and I can't think of anything that I can say I dislike or time wasted so it's 5/5 for me.

    Gameplay: 3/5
Eh....it's basically point and click. I played point and click games before and I never had trouble with it. It's almost nonexistent, point added though for easy losing for the scenes. They could've improved it when it's like this one Rhythm game where you point and click. It would really make you feel like a martial artist with the context.

    Art/H Scenes: 6/5
I love it. It's the typical aburasobabiyori art and theme all over and I absolutely love their games especially the most famous one (yknow what). I'm excited for their next project.

    Conclusion: 4.5/5
I'll rate it 5/5 anyway because it's one of my favorites now and I had lots of fun and it deserve it's spot in my PC forever ^^

    It's absolute crap.

The choices are for extra CG, not storywise. It's scalegarden level of kinetic crap that gets shoved down your throat while peddling a shallow presentation of an otherwise interesting idea.
The combat could have been something special, but it's just a random clicker mini-game. And that's all there is that's of any worth in this "game".

The characters are retarded, the porn is disgusting and there is no gameplay other than that clicky thing and the characteristic RPGM walkfest.

I regret wasting the time and bandwith on this filth.

    Very short game.

combat system "original" but not quite interesting.

There isn't much to do in this game than just following the short story.

Drawing isn't bad but it's not enough to make a good hRPG.

This is a short/mid-short game that can be played exclusively with the mouse.
Combat (if you can even call it that) revolves around clicking 1 to 5, without messing up before the timer runs out... which sounds like a potentially bad idea, but its actually far easier than it sounds (thank god).
Combat is very uninteresting but thankfully you only have a few predetermined fights, no random no grind.
The girls are beautiful but i would have loved it if there were more events and more content in general, what content there is however is good.
If you've played Terrible Laboratory (made by the same people). Then imagine that game but take out all combat, grind and tasks/quests and compress what remains to roughly 10 non-scrollable maps and you have the game more or less.

    Pros:
    1. No grind/waste of time, 30 min game.
    2. Very beautiful art
    3. Easy and quick combat
    4. Not mtl no more!

    Cons:
    1. Relatively short, 30 min game.
    2. Very railroaded rather than sandboxy
    3. very easy simplistic combat

    Story options:
For better or for worse the game is very straight forward with no twists or turns, only a few branch options (do you want to lose this fight? Are you sure you want to listen to this person you obviously should NOT listen to?) who all inevitably bring you back to the same destination.
While negative events will affect what you see and hear during the playthrough, as far as i experienced, only the last battle determins the epilogue. Which can be summed up as: clean victory, dirty victory and bad end. The only difference between clean victory and dirty victory is that is that the game acknowledges that 'things' happened, while clean victory kinda ignores it and pushes it all under the rug (media censorship ftw!).

I feel the game is worth playing for the art alone, but if the game was longer with more sandbox elements and stats where you yourself could help wiggle the girls individually down various paths of fortune and misfortune, then this could very easily have become a 5.
Unfortunally, like so many games before it: once you've finished it, there's not really any reason to come back to it.
    ...sigh ..if only.

Edit: for those who have problems figuring out how to fight, use your mouse and physically click the numbers.
This game has been optimized for mouse rather than keyboard. Try it out.
I recommend the one hand on mouse, one hand on joystick approach.
    Always worked for me.

Edit2: Game is now officially translated and no longer mtl, points mentioning mtl is no longer valid and have been removed.
