Got to be honest, this is probably my least favorite game of STHotDogGames. Here are my reasons for this.
First is the story feels very quick and not that well explored. All the women have lost their memories and 80% of women have been called and answered the summon on this strange island. This should be a big deal in the story. Almost half of humanity has migrated to a single island yet feels so casual to the setting like you are asked to kill 10 rats.
Second is I have no clue who the Hunter is. Is he a man who lost his wife to this forest and wants to get her back? Is he only interested in money? Is he a scholar and wants to find out what caused this strange phenomime to happen? This was fixed in later games like Hungry Naomi where you do feel a clear personality and goal from her. To track down the witch that caused your breasts to eat everyone and everything in sight. Here, is just some nameless Hunter.
Would also say that it did get annoying seeing the Mission Clear signal to happen for so long and also that it would happen twice for some strange reason. Though thankfully, after the 25th time, did not happen again of the Mission Clear sign activating twice.
Would have also liked it if the game had the sprites for the enemies match up with the enemies you are looking for. It just feels like the game adds complexity simply for the sake of complexity for forcing the players to memorize where each enemy is on the map. Would have been cool if slimes looked like slimes instead of as a specter like every other enemy. The same for the beautiful ladies.
Would have also LOVED a way to speed up fights in the game. An option in the options menu to allow the game to speed up fights so you do not have to wait every turn for everyone to finish their attacks. This got really annoying after fighting the 50th chicken. Or maybe even an auto-fight feature where the game does basic attacks and you could just hold down Shift and quickly get through the fight.
Though will say, LOVE the part where once you reach level 20, you can go the Sorceress and grow her boobs after being reborn. Though sadly, can only grow her boobs three times. Would have loved to see this expanded to where her boobs get HUGE after the 10th reborn. And you will be doing a lot of resetting your levels as you need to get stronger gear.
Though will say that unlocking better gear is immensely satisfying. Does not make up for the absolute grind of fighting the same enemies repeatedly but there is satisfaction there.
Would have also like an option to kill x10, x15, x20 enemies on missions because you are going to be killing the same enemies repeatedly for a while. Is really annoying, needing to exit an area after fighting 5 enemies only to repeat that mission again because you need more materials. This would also help give players some initiative on; Do I want to fight all these enemies and use potions to heal up or just go for what they can fight without healing?
Also really disappointed you cannot buy items like chicken feathers at the shop. Would have made money much more valuable in the game rather than using it almost exclusively at the weapons shot.
Though will say this, love how the later places you explore, they give you environmental damage. Encouraging players to make potions/hot coffee/cold brew to better survive in the more dangerous environments. This was really good.
Reaching the final fox lady, I was surprised how easy the final bosses were. Was expecting, needing to do more grinding for materials to upgrade weapons but you are strong enough with enough potions. Was even able to stay in the Colloseum indefinitely so long as I had enough potions. Overall, the biggest frustration with this game is not the boss ladies being a challenge but just banging your head against a wall collecting materials from random drops from enemies. Got so annoying fighting those chickens for their chicken feathers after the 200th time.
