Pretty similar to Slay the Spire, but with more sexy times. Definitely recommend following this as it develops. Minor character customization included and 2 zones at time of review 03/13/2020. Personally would recommend a +power or +bleed build to get through current content.

game is actually more fun than expected, came for the sex stayed for the game. a few more customization options would be desireable, for example changing the colors of the wings and tail or adding/ changing visible accessories.

When I downloaded Last Evil I was not expecting anything. It was the first version posted on this forum so I assumed it would serve more as a tech demo than an actual game. It is very similar to Slay the Spire. It is a turn based card game with rouge like elements.

Once you get past the loading screen you have the choice of starting a New Game which equals a new run. Continue, look at the gallery, customize your character, look at stats from your past runs and tweak around in the settings.

The gallery is very large, although I haven’t filled out much of it. There could be some color swap monster there, but for the most part you have a large collection of animation in cg’s.

With Customize you can alter the appearance of your character to a certain degree. You can change the hairstyle which is separated in front and back hair and its color. They eyes, where you can change the color of the iris the actual eye color and you can change the pupils to another type. You also have the option of heterochromatic eyes. Last but not least is the most important option for many people and that is the ability to change the size of the breasts.

If you are a fan of inflation I would highly suggest you check out the settings before you start a run. It’s deactivated by default. You can also mess with graphical and audio options there.

When you start a new game you find yourself on a nearly empty grid with only one option to choose from to proceed. This will change after the first battle. There are many different encounters, like Treasure Chest, Random Events or battles against enemies.

At the start of the battle you draw six cards, every card has a play cost which is shown beside the name of the card. You have 3 playpoints you can use per turn. When you have no more cards in hand or you can’t play anymore because of resource shortage you can end your turn, if you do that all of the cards in your hand get tossed into the graveyard and the enemy will attack or interact with your character in a certain way. Icons above their heads indicate what they will do in their turn so you can plan accordingly.

The game has its own mechanics that sets it apart from other games of this genre. You also have some good build variety I managed to play through the game with a defensive build that relies on the enemies to damage themselves by attacking and a bleed build that had some great burst damage.

As soon as your HP reaches zero your run is over. You get some Exp, which you can spend on passive upgrades.

The game explains everything in short tutorials which are presented to you in text boxes with a few sentences.

There is one thing that could have been handled better though and that ruins a lot of the rewards you should be reaping. While the gallery is large and has a lot of different things to offer you are very limited in your options once you select a scene. You can’t loop the animation and you can’t progress the act to the next segment. Your only choice is waiting it out and once it is finished you have to close the scene and reopen it to enjoy it again.

This will surely be implemented later on and for now the game has a lot of content to unlock and has some solid gameplay that you can enjoy for hours. Also the animations are very well done and look good so give it a try if this genre appeals to you.

This game was a huge surprise to me when I heard about it, and I was so disappointed that I missed it when it first came out, so when I saw it was available again I bought it instantly, and it beat all my expectations for it. Like other people have said, it's basically a porn version of Slay the Spire. You fight against enemies using a mana based card system, and over the course of each "run" you build up your deck using random spell drops with enemies, as well as other power-up artifacts in the style of games like Risk of Rain or Binding of Issac. The run continues until you either beat all the bosses, or lose a fight. While you don't keep your deck or items between runs you do earn experience to spend on talents to boost your stats and other things that make each successive run easier or different.
While the gameplay and animations are good, what really surprised me about the game was how much porn was already in it. Most of these kinds of games have a handful of enemies and one or two animations each, with a few cgs to go with them. Meanwhile Last Evil already has 60 unique animated scenes, with another 22 still image CGs. Nearly every enemy has at least two scenes, one for if you beat them and choose to drain their "essence", and one for if you lose to them. There's a fair amount of variations too, for example if you lost to a pair of goblins your game over scene is them DPing you, while if you defeated one of them before going down the scene will just be the remaining goblin having it's way with you. On top of the after-fight scenes there's an ability that lets you seduce enemies mid-fight, event scenes you can come across, and an NPC merchant you can sleep with to buy better spells from her.
There's a lot of nice QoL stuff too, like being able to customize your character to an extent (hair style/color, breast size, etc.), skipping seen animations, skipping foreplay animations, and having cum inflation enabled or disabled. While the game is early access, imo it already has far more content and effort put into it than a lot of the h-games you see on Steam nowadays. The fact that's it's technically early access is actually nice since you can expect even more scenes in the future; according to the dev there's a whole floor of the dungeon he's still working on, and since bosses, events and (most) enemies are unique to each floor, that means there will likely be a ton more content to come, though even with what's in it right now it's a great game.
The only major gripes I could imagine with it is if you didn't like the succubus design, didn't like the animation, or weren't a fan of the fetishes, since the majority of the scenes are either of the succubus having sex with "tempted" (i.e. defeated and/or mind-controlled) enemies or being raped by said enemies. As someone who enjoys that kind of stuff greatly though, I would 100% recommend playing this, and highly recommend buying it for real.
