dude i faced the same issue as you and got it figured out. i ran compatibility trouble shooter on it and it worked. apparently it needs a win 8 compat to run. and that is just to unrar it .

No luck running it in windows 8 compatibility, I am at a loss, guess I'll just have to give up as I can't see a reason why at this point it wouldn't run. Or at least give me some kind of error message, or program blocked message. I haven't even heard a peep from windows security or malwarebytes, checked their actions history and they haven't detected a threat.

That's just it, I don't get a window, or anything to go on, that's what's puzzling. When I try to run it, the working symbol runs for a few seconds then just stops. It acts like the file is incomplete, but I don't get any error message, and I'm now fairly sure my anti virus is not seeing it as any threat, because when I check the actions history, nothing comes up. So I feel like I'm at an impasse.

vortexcannon when i reach the quest secret people 99% and they catch me what does it mean and it says i have reached one of the endings is therea an ending which continue the story ??? This is a really nice game...played a run-through and got 30% discovered before geht caught
Than came a hint that i can restart without loosing the previus archivements.
But i only can use an old savegame..and than i start without any archivements from these save-point.
How can i do such a fresh start with maintaining my archivements?
Or is this the end of the free version?

The "New game +" system is always active, you do not even need to go through the game to the end to receive bonuses from it. For example, you opened a Pink Rhino club in Northern-city. You developed it to the end and began to receive dividends. Dividends grow every time you take them. Now if you load the game a few gamesaves back - the dividends will not be reduced, they will remain high and will continue to grow each time further.Hi there!

Of course, if you start the game from the very beginning, then according to the plot of the game you still need to get to the opening of the club and upgrade it to the end to get dividends. But the dividends from it will be all the same high, they will not be reset.
Another example, a bonus that increases the amount of energy from canned food is not tied to the plot and takes effect immediately, in any of your gamesaves, as soon as you unlock it.
All these bonuses and achievements are tied to your account, not gamesaves. So you can play freely from any day in the game. It also does not depend on patreon/club or public games.

Some content that is currently under development is available only in early access. Every month I transfer part of such content to public (first build of the month). I do not keep accurate records, but I think about 70-80% are already open for the public version. If the game shows you only 31%, then you still have a lot to find)thx a lot for the instant reply
