RPGM - Ren'Py - Laura: Lustful Secrets [2024 Special] [Dark Anu]

For the life of me I'll never understand why devs make dialogue based games on rpgm. This alone drags all the other things about the game with it down.

Main character looks good so I thought I'd give it a try. Every single scene has this weird delay where you have to inspect something or watch a nonanimation to try and replicate time passing in the game. Writing is as many other review have put it not very good. The backgrounds in many of the scenes are awful and blurry and many of the animations are loops or the same animation 3 or more times with a slight variation that really come off as overly done, you don;'t need to see a hand move essentially the same way for 2 or 3 minutes

There are no choices to speak of and basically no progression you just sort of go straight into cheating. There are quite a few missing tags such as visual novel that would have made skipping this one the easy choice. Which is what I recommend you do. Even the gallery is painful to get through due to the delays, inspects, slow dialogue. To the authos credit unlike a lot of galleries the scene includes the build up and not just the sexy bits.

I do want to see more from the dev the character quality is among the better ones but if it's not gonna have combat and all the types of things you would use rpgm for instead of renpy I'd hope to see a VN on the proper VN engine or at least unity where skipping is available.

Absolutely horrendous writing and story progression. There are some hot ideas here and there, but it's not enough to make this worth playing. The characters are pretty much what you'd expect from a typical "retard in lecherville" game, just a lot worse than even the average games of this type.

Be that as it may, it could have been a game that might be worth playing for some people looking for mindless fap. Unfortunately, the game design is annoying enough to dissuade people from even speeding through the game. Every animation is unskippable, making you wait 3~5 seconds for it to finish. That includes scanning up and down animation that plays every time a woman shows up.

You start the game with a series of fetch quests. Yay... That, combined with the unimpressive writing and stupid characters lead me to just enter the code to view the gallery. And even that was annoying enough to make me quit because of unskippable animations and transitions.

The custom RPGM sprites of the characters were nice to look at though.

Painful to play.
Laura, the MC is pretty cute (and so are the other girls actually) but the game is something to avoid. The writing mostly is atrocious and due to the RPGM it's made hard to ignore as you need to have a rough idea where to go. But at least this game doesn't have a stupid big empty map, yet still provides fast travel so that's a plus.
Now there are annoying minimum time check and animation loops, as well as pointless little phrases intent to pad the sex scenes. It makes it impossible to move on if you want to, so you have to endure no matter what.
I feel bummed out as Laura is pretty and some renders and animations are quite good, but it's too little and not exactly worth the time.

This game is...something. I'm not sure why there are so many 5 star ratings, but for me this project has some massive issues.

There are certain things I do like. Laura (MC) is really looking good, and you can tell the developer put some work into her. Some animations are nice to look at, but in terms of quality you can tell that the focus is on Laura, and Laura only. The idea of this project isn't anything new, but it can totally work and make for a good experience if done correctly.

Now, one of the biggest turn-offs for me is the absolutely terrible writing. And I'm not just talking about bad English translations, which certainly is a major problem here aswell, and the developer really needs a proofreader (even better would be a writer for this story) or atleast run his text through a spelling check, but I'm talking about the actual dialogue and storytelling. It almost feels like something a 13 year old teenager came up with. I can't tell if the developer is lacking own experiences in life or what, but most scenes- especially the lewd ones, are worse than any porn script imaginable.

Another thing I've noticed is that the environments, background graphics etc. REALLY do need some extra work. Looking at most renders, it feels like the characters have just been pinned ontop of the background, kind of like stickers. This is especially noticable in renders with Laura's half naked, shiny body which is actually well done, infront of extremely low resolution textures. The transition between character models and backgrounds just doesn't look right, if that makes sense. I'm assuming this is Anu's first project, and maybe his computer isn't the most powerful either, so I hope that this will eventually change.

Anyway, I personally can't give this project more than 2 stars in it's current state. It's got some potential, but really needs some heavy work.

Pretty bad game that seems to have been made by a 12 year old. The story isn't terrible, just a bit non sensical and the sound effects are very childish.

The scene staging is pretty bad, the way you look up and down every prettty women for half an hour is just annoyingly slow.

There are animated sex scenes. They are ok, usually single point views which are just speeded up for scene progression.

Not much content yet. Might get better but atm not worth the time.

I love this game.
Pros:
1) Animations (Not the best but It'll do)
2) Female MC is HAWT
3) I like the male characters and set up

Cons:
1) In my opinion, the female should act less slutty and get corrupted slowly rather than getting seduced so easily. Or it will get boring if she start fucking around so fast...

This game has a pretty good amount of content considering its initial release was less than 6 months ago. As far as the story goes, it's a pretty typical one for games of this type, i.e. married woman becomes corrupted, but there's really nothing wrong with that. The MC is also extremely hot which is obviously a big plus. The game does currently have one small puzzle and a few other things that make use of the RPG Maker engine but, overall, the game might actually be even better as a Ren'py game.

Never made it to the supposed Lesbians here though.

My 2 hour experience : RPGmaker game + A Kinetic Novel.
(Full transparency there's choices to play or skip the husband. I skipped them because F.Protag and also quit)
So if choices or options pour in on the Husband path or past that 2-hour point in content. That's on me, my bad.

The only thing I want to make note of is that this game is your 'CLASSIC'
female protagonist railroaded into being a nympho/slut or w/e you'd call it.

If you know that and only that (which i didnt). I otherwise think the tags and screenshots do a decent job determining if this is up your alley or nah.

It's 3 Stars(Average) because it's not even for me and that's the biggest knock I have against it honestly.

I can't believe this game has such a high rating. I'm pretty tolerant about render quality and game polish, but I am unable to play this one.
Renders are a decade behind industry standards. Dev also made a questionable decision to set all environments in 3d as well, like in NLT games, and somehow it looks far worse that a standart RPGM tileset. And walking animation will give you nightmares

I don't usually notice sounds, but in this game they are so awful you notice them anyway

I give it one extra star only for the MC's thic ass.

I was expecting more of this game, it's not super bad, but it's not really good either.

3 stars.... Why?

Because this game is not offering any good quality sex scene.

The first sex scene has been a merely a check box exercise.

No enough renders, dialogues, camera angles, nothing.

A 1990 animation put there because... There plot

Dev should remember why players play porn games, plot is important but it a frame of a good well presented sex scene

Love this game. Gives me an ana's exciting affection vibe which is one of my favorites. Love the voluptous body on the main character as opposed to the regular ass for every character in other games. Also like how diff characters have diff features even if slightly. Story line is good imo and i love the fact that you come out with fairly quick updates.

Absolutely loved this banger of a game. a must-play for all my ntr lovers out there., Super hot scenes with the riskiest situations, sure to rile up your fire. Definitely recommended. Would love more and more updates on this games, and maybe a few more kinks

Excellent new female MC porn game. At the moment the story is simple, and it consists more of 'scenes' (situations) maybe, but who needs a complicated story in a porn game anyway ? The flash back to her parents story with the cereal box was a nice gimmick !
Laura is hot, and so are the other female characters I've seen so far.
Graphics are good and animations are very nice to watch.
RPGM engine is not my favorite, but Dev implemented it in such a way that it does not have the disturbing 'endlessly walking around' thing.
Looking forward to seeing more of this game !

5 stars because it is an excellent job, It doesn´t deserves less: Totally MUST TRY IT.

The shapes of women are just fire! And the plot is also kind of normal, in general, I like games about cheating Wives. I am counting on very interesting and exciting scenes )) the mechanics of the game are a little lame in the bed scenes, and in general the idea of the game itself is not bad. I just advise you to play, and then draw conclusions for yourself, but I repeat, I like the game so far.

I mean sure its rpgm, environments look average and models other than laura's family look bad but its a hotwife game, which means a rare gem on this site where its filled with male protag based games, not that im against the male protag but everybody knows they make the actual money and therefore devs prioritize on making them.

Here in this game we see laura falling into hot situations while enjoying herself and giving us enjoyment too while she's at it. Its not slow corruption either (from what i've seen so far) so if you dont like games like a wife and mother because of it, then this game is probably for you.

A corruption story done on the cheap.

I like corruption stories and have no problem with swapping/sharing/etc, but that doesn't mean I am going to overlook quality (or lack thereof) to play a game with certain tags.

Negatives:

--- RPGM. Excessive time wasted walking over numerous and superfluous maps. Silly sounds from the early 90's. All the other baggage that's inherent to that platform.

-- Audio. The SFX are awful. Spend some time finding quality clips and master them at -12db. If you can't find nice ones (and there are literally tens of thousands of them out there), then don't bother.

-- Animations. Rudimentary at best.

-- CG. Poor detail. Skin tones are unrealistic. Style is 4-5 years behind current best practices.

- Writing. Formulaic. Nothing new. Full of tropes. Needs a proofreader/editor.

Positives:

+ Effort. Keep learning.

The story is a very simple case of corruption plus cucking and cheating, my favorite kind, go NTR all the way! Just like Anna and Lilly, my favorite games!

Pros:
-Models are beautiful
-Good and simple animations, so having animations is a major plus
-Good amount of characters
-Long playthrough for a first beta release
-Funny story and for the NTR lovers, awesome beginning
-The RPGM style follows a line like Treasure of Nadia, where u can see your real character and the real place
-Easy playing, no grinding bullshit, and no excessive teasing

TLDR: Very promising, nice character models, unique refreshing backdrops.
Its in a beta stages, not enough content really to warrent a download, but i recommend to check it out or watch out for next one or two releases.

Havint seen these Daz models used before, they all look very nice.
What the Dev has done with the Backdrops & characters for navigating in RPGM is very well done.
Writing probably needs a small bit of work, but nothing game breaking for me.
Roughly 10 - 15 mins of gameplay in this build with 1 sex scence and roughly 2 teasing scenes.

For a first beta release im impressed, defintely will be watching for the next update.


Even though the navigation is pretty quick going from map to map, i do suggest adding a taxi, i can see it getting a small frustrating to have to run one side of the map to pick up a shovel and then run all the way back.
