Neat, are you still practicing drawing ?

beyond that all you have to do next is add a layer for the cell shading, i would recommend using a mask. no opacity (exept eventually layer opacity), just flat colors, nothing too fancy.

Thank you for the compliment , Yes am still practicing drawing. Hear me out , I might have started working on a game character idea that popped up yesterday , I know this might sound super rushed but I thought that , Well , I need to practice sketching and painting , why don't I do it on something I can use in my game.

On it , Will post the cel shaded version asap!

Hello ,
I took my time didn't I :Kappa:
Well , I halted posting due to two reasons
1.I was feeling pressured as I started imposing deadlines on myself to make stuff up to post , ultimately "forcing" myself to learn and create rather than enjoying , which isn't a great thing when it comes to art ...Isn't it?
2.I thought that now I'll post only when there is at least "noticeable" progress in my skills.
Third is not all that important but the pc died on me a week ago so I had to get it fixed :BootyTime:.
Anyway , Here's something I made , Am getting a bit confident now , I guess , What do you think..?
I need some advice too, I started making her with the goal of using her as my game's heroine, but as I got closer to completion , I started having second thoughts that I can do better and should hold on. Then I thought that my first game isn't supposed to be perfect and everyone learns by doing things multiple times.
So , here's the question , should I keep on improving my art or should I make my game too on the way to gather experience and work my way to my dream project?

Nah, you can improve a bit. There's a huge progress, but I don't think you reached the peak yet. Consider looking at some anime and look at their outlining. Black outlining on skin is a too huge contrast, in anime when it comes to skin they use a dark brown outline, try coloring your outline a (much) darker shade of the color.

Update 2 was better in many ways, update 3 feels like a downgrade compared to that.

Winterfire , I'd love to know the reasoning for that. In update 2 I was trying to copy the style of uberpie's Taffy Tales , And update 3 , well ,it consists of what I may call "my style". It's somewhat like a western modern cartoon ish type style.

update 3 shading looks bland, update 2 looks more colorful (I don't mean just the skin being a different color, but the shading is better done in general, it has more depth). Even the shade of the iris got more love in Update 2.

Winterfire , you were right , Well I might have pulled the opacity of the shading/shadow layer to 25 :Kappa:
But it wasn't all , As you can see in the "post2.png" I did a quick rework on the shadow and highlights, do tell me what you think.

way way way better. Iris shading still is inferior to update 2, but the rest is good now.
I personally don't like the eyelids, but this is subjective.

I still kinda hate your outlining and how there are "spillages" of color here and there, but unfortunately I can't help much on this since i have no experience with tablets (never owned or used one).

I also don't agree with lighter outline, in my opinion the outline should be darker than the thing you're outlining, but this is again pretty personal and not necessarily right.

I love the eyebrows on update 3, they're much better than update 2. Monocolor (or just two shades) and overall very simple eyebrows are superior in my opinion.

Finally the hair... I think the hair shades doesn't make sense. Unless her hair are made out of plastic, the hair should have a sharper and less glossy shading.
