i have played it and it does not seem to bad:love::coffee:(y) just needs a incest patch or a tweak to how you refer to the mom in dialogue she is referred to as landlandy bullshit but her name is Mom or mom so dev may want to check that on fixing that it really is annoying when that happens . but otherwise i guess it is not too bad

Why are there so many games where we play as criminals, ex-special forces and estranged fathers/brothers?

I just wanted to play happy family, but this guy is no Luigi. And the 'shadowy organization' is just screaming "this is going to pad out the runtime of the game and keep you away from the wholesome incest and inbreeding you came here for".

Cute women tho, even though I've seen half of them before.

It basically gives you a pre-establish main character that is skilled and has the needed connection in place to do what the story demands without having to play the entire life story. If you start with a random college guy and suddenly he can fight off several mercenaries or criminals then there are questions that come up, but if you already established that the Mc is himself a criminal or mercenary then when he can defend himself or is not put off by violence or other things that most people don't deal with and wouldn't know how to handle, then you have your reason why. It's basically a short cut in character development. Starting competent and then facing harder challenges as opposed to starting weak and growing to that level over time facing smaller challenges first.

It can be hard to execute well without feeling cheep and like it is an excuse for poor writing. If done right it can help get to the action faster without feeling like it came out of nowhere. Think Jack Reacher or Terminal List for examples of it being done right. The best stories mix it up. Nobody is a great example of this. It starts with a main character that seems like a normal guy but then you see him go badass and it's revealed that he is a retired special agent. So, there are different way it can be done, it just depends on what type of story you want to tell.

I haven't played this yet so I can't speak to how well it is executed here. And yeah some devs use these types of Mc's to pad things out and make the story feel longer than it really is, and putting in plot lines that don't matter to the romance and such, but we'll see.

Why does the story need the protagonist to fight off mercenaries? You're missing my point entirely. I don't relate at all to a story about crime, gangs, evil organizations, paramilitaries, etc. It's a complete waste when what I came here for was a story about family and incest. You don't start with a solution (being an assassin) and the come up with problems (needing to fight hardened professional killers).

I take the perspective that a AVN shouldn't waste time on this drama. You don't need villains to fight,
You seem to take the perspective that the story requires there for be someone for the PC to fight.
It's a VN, not an action game.

I understand your point, it seems you might have missed mine, so I'll try to clarify. You asked why an Mc would need to be a former criminal or such, I gave a reason for why it might be so. I wasn't making a value judgment or saying that it is always needed for every story. In fact I talked about how it can be poorly done even in stories with criminal or action subplots or used for filler. I was even agreeing with a point you made. Not all stories need it, some might, it depends on what story the dev wants to tell.

If the dev wants their visual novel to have action then so be it. If another dev just wants their novel to be focused on the incest and such and not have any other plot lines then that's fine too. I enjoy all kinds of stories. Some stories are slice-of-life, some are action, all different kinds. My favorites are simple harem stories, I'm not a huge fan of needless drama, but I also like stories that are more complex at times too.

On a side note, even if there isn't any plan for action or drama, having a Mc with a past that makes them competent in such fields can also give a reason as to why they have the confidence and skills that can help them get women. So, again, having an older and more capable Mc with a past like this can even be useful in a story that will be purely focused on the romance aspects.

And why would a dev cater to your personal tastes and preferences and not to what THEY consider it's best for their games and the fanbase they looking to get their attention to ?? Did you commission the dev to make the game for you, and it somehow got leaked here by an evil user who wanted to share it with the rest of us too ??

My point is as simple as it gets... don't like a certain game, tag, kink, female character's proportions, or whatever, ignore the game or delete it and move on. There's a lot of other games, new ones, still in development or completed for you to play. Let other ppl enjoy it and support the dev so they can make money off their hard work. Why's this so hard for YOU to understand ??

I hate NTR and consider most sex scenes in incest and non NTR porn games boring and nothing more than seeing a two-pump chump embarrassing himself trying to please his woman... you don't see me make a fuss about this when there's real porn and real women for that kinda 'stress release' session tho. To put it even simpler, different strokes for different folks.:WeSmart:

So that I'll want to pay for their game.

That said I was talking about the cliche of 'mega-john-wick-ultra-marine-black-belt-sniper-operative' protagonists. It isn't just this specific game I'm referring to.

Not bad for a first attempt. A few critiques though. Your pacing is really off. A lot of scenes are too fast or abrupt. You could have added a scene where Alex was reluctant to move in if you stared at her ass or something. The night section is far too dark. You can barely see the arrows to move around. I'd suggest turning up the lights but adding a blue filter to indicate it is night. Also, during the intro, you have Landlady hardcoded so it will not display the name you assign to her. I fixed that. It would be better to have the special renders as a gallery you can go back to later.
