When I say "self-insert" here I don't mean in the sense of a generic protagonist with no personality. I mean, there are two basic ways to enjoy pornography: Voyeurism, and Self-insertion. Voyeurism is when you get aroused to watching other people do something lewd. Self-insertion is when you pretend you're one of the participants and imagine the scene is happening to you. The folks who play this game and get angry when the girls "cheat" on the MC by having sex with other men or with monsters, are angry because they engage with the game by self-inserting as the MC, rather than enjoying the scenes as a voyeur.

The reason I was asking earlier was because if the contents of your guide were converted into the wiki then in theory other people can contribute to the guide and flesh it out instead of you having to do everything by yourself (in THEORY anyways lol). It sounds like a "them" problem. Their mistake was thinking this hentai game was a hentai with gameplay and not a Game with some hentai lol. It's kind of like LOQO being a more hardcore version of Game of Thrones, but still not hardcore enough to be a straight up XXX parody, where sex scenes would literally happen every other five minutes. (Game of Thrones is completely watchable without the sex scenes imo, just like how you said LOQO is completely playable without it.) But many people who download hentai games expect to use it as fap content, so when there's too much story and grinding and gameplay loops getting in the way you end up flaccid and feel the need to look elsewhere.
Again, this isn't a knock on Gabe's works. But I've also taken my rose colored glasses off long ago and I can now understand people's complaints. One of those complaints is how long it's taking her to finish Origin, but that's best left as a topic for another day lol.
