Overview:
Have you ever wanted to live inside one of your favorite anime shows? Me too.

Legend of the Otaku is an anime-based role-playing game where you step into the shoes of Tenchi Takahashi, a hardcore anime addict, manga aficionado, and overall otaku-extraordinaire. Tenchi's life of fandom is abruptly interrupted by the sudden appearance of Anju, a mysterious girl from another dimension (aren't they always?). A vicious demonic overlord is conquering Anju's homeland, so her inventor-father sent her through a transdimensional portal with a set of powerful crystals, which are capable of tapping into the substantial energy existing at the crossroads of worlds. The crystals amplify the user's inner strength, turning Tenchi and his friends into the heroes that they always dreamed of being.

saved the game, quit, tried to play it the next day, continue is grey and unclickable, very nice, also had trouble finding ramen shop, u should fix the map

Mac. For some reason it's been an issue with recent rpgm games.

Out of curiosity, which system were you running it on? If I'm reading the error message correctly, it may be an issue with folder permissions.

I think the problem is either with OSX or RPGM itself. It may be solved by installing the game on the main drive and not an external HDD.

edit: Nope. Same problem.

In Linux, I would chmod the file permissions recursively, so all files and folders are writeable. I think the problem comes when the game attempts to save to a read-only directory, possibly made so when the ZIP was uncompressed (I've had that issue with other Linux games). Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac to test right now (though I may be able to come up with something in the interim - stay tuned).

If what I'm seeing from other sources is true, it's not an issue on your or my end, but how the programs themselves function.
I'll keep this thread bookmarked for when things get resolved.

I may have found a solution for Mac users (see Installation instructions above). Basically:
1.) Navigate to the game.exe file.
2.) Right click the file, and select "Show Info"
3.) Open the "permissions" section
4.) Adjust the settings for it to be able to both write and read files.

No good. It was already set to read and write and still doesn't work. I'll poke around some more when I have the time and energy.
