But if I'm not mistaken, the male MC was here from the start in Mythos.
I really don't think that is what slows down the game development.
It's just that Nine of Swords is a part time developer, works alone, and has lot of issues in IRL.
Yeah I can see the guy mc not being the sole reason for the slowdown. I do remember not having a guy mc in the first release and people asking for one.

you are wrong that game has always had a male mc, in the first posts they talk about it.
I am. I remember the long wait times from real life issues and mixed it with the long wait time for a game that added a guy mc.

Thanks for letting me know and my bad.

Yeah I think I remember what actually happened. There was a lesbian game that added a guy mc and then dropped the lesbian protagonist entirely. I don't know how I mixed them up.

You reminded me of Glamour, and while it wasn't exclusively lesbian, but went waaay off the rails when it introduced a male mc almost halfway through its development.

True, this was always the case for Mythos.. but i was surprised by the fact that the male MC has more explicit lewd scenes than the fem prot ?!

Also the male MC just looks strange imo (immersion and all that).

Unfortunately, in almost all games where you can choose the gender, the female protagonist is always a second fiddle, it makes me want to start ignoring them more and more.

I think iknow at least one exception - ToT. Its obviously was written with femmc in mind there was some funny typos when you selected male protag sometimes you still be referred as Elise (or some other default girl's name).
