why is this game so fucking hard

do people actually enjoy this

fill up the first crucible, great. start trying to fill up the 2nd crucible, walk into a shrink house, giantess decides haha fuck this guy and stomps me before i can get all the unshrink items

this is fun? no it is not.
Game is not hard unless you set it to be (going into shrink house with no upgrades before and very big akipo), i remember finishing harder levels with no sprint (until i changed keyboard).

this is fun? no it is not.
if you are having a hard time, the latest update added customizable options for the Giantess under the "GIANTESS" tab when you are in the level select. you can adjust these to make her grow slower or limit her size (smaller GTS is easier to deal with). also different footwear had different difficulties as well.

For the shrink houses, you don't even have to do them if you find them annoying, you can get the reward they drop through other means like having the GTS crush one of those big red crystals. They should not be too bad if you try them a few times though, there is only a few house layouts and key part spawn locations so you can get used to where they spawn and the movement to get to them over time. There are bounce pads and moving books to help you as well and make sure to pay attention when you first enter for the key spawn effect, if you follow the effect you can tell about where they spawn.

I have just discovered your game and i really like it.
I was wondering since it is on unity if you could add VR to it? It would be awesome!

Yeah about 50% of times I get obliterated in the shrink houses too, they are too unfair, not hard. Also imo the game itself is pretty fun, but I feel like something more should be added to make the gameplay loop more fun. Also remember, it's still in its very early stages.

Just don't enter the shrink house, the game isn't that hard

Where do you think the shrink houses are unfair? I do plan on expanding them for the next bigger update, so I'd like to how they're unfair.

Likewise, the same update I'm focusing on adding new content to the gameplay loop. I've mostly escaped the performance issues and I'm only focusing on my backlog of animations for this upcoming small update, so I can return to gameplay.

I would also like an update on this please, and is there any chance you will make the feet a little more animate? Like when she is stomp walking around, to make their motion a little more natural. I also think some slight variation in how she moves and twists her ankles, toes, and arches would add a lot of immersion too.

It's been four-ish months since I said that? Crazy. I still want to do it, just got very very busy with more pressing matters. I may attempt it for the next big update, but I have no promises. I do apologize for running my mouth, saying things that I thought I would do but didn't.

my issue with shrink houses is that jumping onto floating books is too finicky. it's easy to botch the landing 80% of the time, and get left waiting for the book to make its slow round trip. this wait is a death sentence as it eats up the time limit.

solution here is either to make it possible to just walk onto the book as it reaches the bottom, or make books continually rise from the floor. it is "magic", after all.

nah please don't get me wrong, not trying to call you out what so ever. Things come up, bugs need fixing, important maintenance like optimizations, a million things to bounce between, gotta take care of yourself too, crazy how time flies. Gotta add whats most needed first and build up the game. This last update was a much needed fix up with extra cool stuff too. I much rather you tell us what your thinking and planning, even if it falls through. This stuff is to be expected either way. I only ever ask because im curious and love the process, don't worry about little hiccups like that, it happens. Anyways, looking forward to it, get to it when its time.

Yea i see where your coming from. Although i find myself using bounce pads 90% of the time to mainly get around when im in there, then jumping across the furnishings.

The main issue I have with shrink houses is an inconsistent ability to jump from box to box.. Use to be that some keys spawned way too high in older releases, but I haven't tested it in the new release as much. I don't hate the shrink houses, but they have been a definite avoid for me since I've had such a bad taste in my mouth from other releases.

It felt like sometimes the giantess would give you like 10 seconds to complete the challenge and other times maybe a minute or so. This inconsistency of jump height, ability to get a key or not, jump distance, then time to complete challenge is what I think it's true downfalls are. It's a cool concept to add a fun little platformer, but consistency is key here, not that key location has to remain consistent, just mechanics. The book elevators are a freaking annoyance to jump onto miss a book and you feel like your world is ending, gotta say that hurts when using them half the time, the book position is sometimes really hard to account for since it is in between boxes, that overall mechanic IMO is just painful. I don't mind elevators, it just doesn't feel right.

I appreciate the critiques. I don't know if I will have time to address some of those issues for this upcoming small update, but I'll definitely address it for the next major update.

It is consistent. The time you have to complete the house depends on how far away the giantess is when you enter it. You have less time the bigger she is and you can even see her approach if you look out a window (which I think is awesome btw)
