Name one or two games that you felt were amazing and name the specific thing that just blew you away about the game. List the Dev to give them props for doing such a good job

There are many for me but I will list these two
Eternum - A very well fleshed out world with an awesome premise for the story. Mystery and intrigue as well as beautiful renders and good build up Caribdis
Acting Lessons
- This game broke my heart. It was so well written and the plot was actually believable if a bit frightening. Also the friend was not a throwaway character but actually important to the story. His side story while not so large it detracted from the main plot was important to at least two of the characters and it had a nice build up and surprise. There was a lot about this game that was done well with the build ups and the realism. N7(Dr PinkCake)

I think nearly all the Devs on channel deserve some props in one way or another. Here is a chance to say hey, this is why I think you and your game are outstanding.

Eris Dysnomia | Dev: (Above A Damage Tile)
Been watching this developer for a while, and chose this one specifically because it isn't just a boring side-scroller with the common hit and dodge mechanic, there's actual variety involved, a lot of the attacks the main protagonist uses make for much more interesting gameplay, as well as the wide variety in enemies make for a lot more sexy animations and different situations she could be in. Plus something about the idea of watching your character go down a rabbit hole of horny corruption makes for an interesting experience. I'm hoping the dev makes more like this with different characters and more animations that surpass expectations.

Both of my current favorites came out of left-field, I was basically scraping the bottom of the barrel when I found them.

ioY put me off with Honey Select, turned out to be a well-paced trainer with a certain manic energy I haven't seen in any other smut, and some of the funniest dialogue I've read in a game.

SKA I figured was going to be a copycat of all those Japanese rapey lust-curse games, but it's actually the best slow-burn corruption and mind-control game I've come across, plus actually has pretty good RPGM game mechanics.

For me your poll is a bit crooked, because I don't care much for beans or spices or mince meat or sauce on their own but I can absolutely destroy a flavorful bowl of Chili con Carne. Which is to say, they need to work together, a story without visuals may work for some, not for me. Slow burn requires alternate ingredients to keep me engaged. /rant.

Regarding a game that really surprised me in a positive way, One Day At A Time by Zoey Raven. I find the setting unique, the relationships and dialogue mostly believable, and as someone with a mostly socially acceptable addiction (nicotine) I found the game to be quite relatable and I like that the MC is low on self pity but high on self reflection. And it's mixed with a lot of adult scenes of course because it's a porn game, but they made sense to me. When the world is cold and you're on the outskirts, I can understand diving into whatever emotional/physical warmth you can get. Honestly, probably the only game where I'd rate the story a 5/5. (Granted, I haven't played all the games, but probably closer to 1000 than 100.)

How dare you not include gameplay as an answer.
It is the most important thing in any game.

Anyway two good games:
https://f95zone.to/threads/lab-rats-v1-0-vren.1394/
https://f95zone.to/threads/lab-rats-2-v0-51-1-vren.7260/

Both are made by vern.
There are more good games but those came to mind first.
I changed the poll to include gameplay and made it so that you can change your answer if you want to choose that option (y)

This whole thread is like a double win for me. I get to see what others like in games AND I get the names of hopefully dozens of fantastic games with Devs I may not have heard of yet so thanks for responding

'Secrets of Hokwiton' - because i like to be a Hermione Granger (child dream)
'Tales from the Deep: Eve' - because my mom's boyfriends beat me and her, but they fondle her afterwards, but they didn't fondle me. That's why I've always wanted to be a woman. And that strong and aggressive men would first beat me, and then fuck me. This is my idea of happiness. Someone might not like it, but that's my life.

Its hard to know what to say to that, but if it is what makes you happy then ok and more power to you. Just know that I wish you the best and hope you are truly happy

Karryns Prison, though the dev gets plenty of deserved praise already. Probably the best blend of gameplay and sex content ever done in a game. It also mixes in management mechanics and the combat is somewhat innovative for RPGs.

Sakyubasu no tatakai by Gorepete(the first one specifically). Its an old flash sidescroller. It was one of the first adult games I played before adult games became monetized through patreon. I love sidescrollers, I just hate how most of them are run or rape so you get sex content when you make a mistake. This game rewards you when you defeat enemies and bosses. Since the game was rather challenging, you actually felt accomplished while fapping.

Another less known game is The Last Goblin by Marblecrown. It's a harem collecting game with a goblin MC. Its rpgmaker but the gameplay is entirely based on a simple stealth mechanic rather than combat. You basically sneak around the city stealing stuff and helping the women in the city. It's well written and has top notch renders. I just pray it gets finished one day.

Karryn's Prison - I mean just everything. The excellent use of the RPGM mechanics, the art, the voice acting. Mwah chef's kiss. Its probably my favorite erotic game of all time.

A Struggle with sin - I like this game for it's sprite art(as well as it's renders) and the different outcomes for quest/relations depending on your actions. Also like the open world feel it's sort has going.

The dialogue is cringey and the combat mechanics are obtuse imo. Still a special game because it manages to integrate the sex into the combat and minigames.

Meh, I don't think the dialogue is really cringe maybe that it doesn't take it's self seriously. I mean the idea could be quite the thriller, lone woman in a men's prison. They could've gone for more serious tones for sure but instead decided to go the way of comedy.

As for the combat, I will admit it's probably not the best system out there (regarding turn-base combat)and I can see how it can be a bit much at times, but I think it does what it needs to do well enough.

I voted story... realistic body types would be next...

Some of my top games are...

Leap of Faith
- for CeCe and her story, it cannot be overstated how unique and moving this part of the game is, it will punch you in the gut and then make you cry tears of joy eventually, you will always remember CeCe, she's one of the few, very few truly memorable VN characters

Acting Lessons - I love heartbreak followed by a (bittersweet) happy ending, it has a truly memorable story and characters, you won't forget this game, ever

Eternum - I love the Ready Player One SciFi setting and the characters, even if it's a harem game, but the characters have depth to them and the story is pretty great

Making Memories - pretty unique approach to the whole incest thing, it's more based on the psychology of things, not so much about instant horniness, and there are only two love interests, which I find refreshing, at times it feels like the arthouse version of your stereotypical incest game, still early in development, there are no sex scenes with either the sister or the daughter yet, but it's getting very close

Isabella - Dark Paths - only two love interests, pretty interesting story about a killed ex-girlfriend and the dark sides of the fashion / modeling industry

Price of Power - story focused pseudo medieval setting (it's actually the far future), only one love interest so far, the romance is meaningful and sweet, the closest you can get to a traditional romance without any of the silly antics usually found elsewhere

Now & Then - one of the few actually great harem games with a meaningful story about life and what makes life worth living after the Zombie apocalypse. Harem is mid sized, so that means each love interest receives all the attention needed, mostly avoids the usual tropes, some of the character arcs are really moving, also has meaningful solo routes if you hate harems. It is Honey Select though, but if that doesn't bother you... you will love it. Also, this game has probably the most elaborate and detailed ending of any game I have played, the ending is LONG, each and every character you romance gets her spotlight, you will be super happy with how things turn out

No More Money - as far as lighthearted and fun (and silly) incest games go I found NMM pretty enjoyable, even if you have zero action with either the mom or the sis yet, but the slowburn makes sense here and is well done, and there's also the aunt of course... the family is immensely likable and the mom, sis and aunt are of course super attractive, yet still look like actual human beings. And then there are a few side characters to distract you, if you need that

University of Problems - in my opinion the best college game. Better than BADIK for two reasons... there is no fraternity BS in this game (the MC hates this nonsense, as do I) and in the "teacher" department UoP wins hands down, Rachel is not only super attractive, while also looking like an actual human and not a caricature, but the scenes with her are amazing and her story is pretty good as well, but there's no one like Jill really in this game... however, I think characters like Carol etc are more attractive than Jill

Projekt Passion - still very early in development but one of the best comedic VNs I have played. It has lovable and fun characters, great humour, a great story, it's a step up from the already really good After The Inferno by the same dev. If you want a funny VN... it doesn't get better than Projekt Passion! Also, the character design is very unique, you won't find the usual faces here, but everyone is super cute of course

Matrix Hearts - yet another truly excellent comedic VN, this one has a college setting, but the college is not the focal point. You have super adorable and funny characters here, even the tsundere character is pretty hilarious, if you like comedy, look no further! Still pretty early in development, many paths have not yet progressed too far, so you will need a bit of patience here, just like with Projekt Passion

City of Broken Dreamers - probably the best Cyberpunk SciFi game. It has amazing cutscene and sex animations, a memorable cast of characters you can freely pick and choose from and a pretty great story

Haley's Story - yes the ending is rushed, yes Haley's backstory includes a nasty event, but it's probably the best brother & sister game that allows you to focus on just the sister, the banter is hilarious, the romance is super sweet and wholesome, the darker aspects of the story don't overshadow the wholesome sweetness. And while the ending is rushed it is still a happily ever after

Gameplay and mechanics work hand in hand but i would say those two, a game can have a great story/visuals but if its just me clicking through the entire thing it seems pointless to download a 5+gb game just for that when i could just go on some xhub and see a walkthrough or a scene compilation

Well, I still haven't played the majority of games on here so far. I would say though, so far, I liked games like:

'Summertime Saga' - To me one of the better games I've played on here. It has a good mix of everything. Story/dialogue, renders, gameplay.
'Tales of Androgyny' - I don't care much for the combat, but I love the dialogue. It really presses all the right buttons for me.
(Even though these games aren't even finished quite yet.)

The game that got me into this site though first was 'Acting Lessons'. I enjoyed the story quite a bit.

I've played others, but a lot of them aren't complete. So I don't like to mention too many of those yet. For me though, story is the most important aspect of these games. Most of these games are visual novels or otherwise a game where dialogue is important. Without it, I'm just not that interested. Really good writing wins me over. That and what kind of dialogue I experience in sex scenes, if it's really good it really turns me on. (I really like dirty talk when it's written well.)

Everything after that just depends. I can do without visuals really and still love the game, or even just a simple picture to go with the character.
