Am i the only one that wants to see realistic models for once? Every game seems to use the same assets: Mobile-Filter-Bimbo looking models with overexaggerated proportions. All of them have full lips, flawless skin, same headshape, same eyes, massive tits and massive asses. Sometimes you have the promotional picture with 5 women lined up and they all look the same with different hairstyle. Hell sometimes they use a white female bimbo model and then just color her black lol. Even the "milfs" all look like 30 year olds tops.

When i go outside and look arround i never see any woman who looks like that. You only find these plastic women in porn or on instagram with all kinds of filters slapped on. I mean if that boomer tier bimbo is your thing good for you, you're propably american as well lol, but can we get some variety here?

Personally i find realistic women way more attractive. Faces with personality and flaws and natural beauty like irl. Female bodies also don't need to look like they undergone 20 plastic surgeries. Just look at actresses, they all look different yet most of them are attractive because their face has personality.

Idk, am i the only one who thinks this way?

it's the industry standard, look characters from League of legend and overwatch, it's all the exact same body reused a thousand times for various reasons, mainly because it appeal to the asian market.

when in western countries peoples tend to be more ok with various body shape and size, the asian (Chinese Korean and Japanese primarily) tend to want almost exclusively that.

Corpo rats see peoples like that so they make more of it, it's the world we live in.

as for me I like the female figure to be tall (I don't mind short I just prefer tall) small breast and wide hips is usually what I find appealing.

I personally like tight bodies and smooth skin, and I don't like rusty snatch, so when I want a milf I want her younger (i.e. mid-late 30s), but that's just my choice.

Other than that I mostly agree with you. A lot of it is down to most devs using DAZ, and then using the same (or similar) models, which they then only slightly morph. Some devs are now adding nice touches like freckles, small moles, creases etc. It isn't as bad as the early days where every other game would use the same model. If you wants to make your models really unique and realistic, using actual modeling software is required, which is more work than most devs are prepared to do.

My worst pet peeve is when the breast sizes on all models are large. Not only is it unrealistic, and not only is it unsympathetically done (they look fake and unnatural), but it diminishes the allure of big boobs in the first place, when everyone has them.

To dissent a bit I will add that I do want all my models to be above average in looks, and I do want a handful of certified babes to look at: this is a fantasy after all.

It depends. Overall, I would say yes, but it depends on the story & setting behind it.

If the game is intended not to take itself seriously and just exists as a quick fap, then the models should exist to make that end goal as satisfying as possible. So going full on fake bimbo or big ridiculous tits works well, because that's what's trending nowadays.

If the game is more story-oriented with characters you're supposed to care about first before you inevitably fuck them, then more realistic character models help with the immersion and makes me care more about them. Bimbos with plastic surgery do exist IRL, so they can be used but not every character should look like that.

I don't play a whole lot of "quick fap" games because I like digging into a story and getting invested. But they have their place & I enjoy those from time to time, too.

I voted 'no' on impulse because I assumed it was about graphical realism vs stylized, but now I can't change my vote.

Humans are attracted to aesthetic looks since the dawn of time. A wise artist strives to use aesthetic yet realistic looking models but the balance is delicate and it's tempting to go to the dark side of exaggerated proportions. Additionally, inexperienced developers also tend to fall into the trap of using commonly used hairstyles, frequently used locations and more.

It's too late, now horrible "realistic" Daz models with massive, impossible exaggerated proportions will haunt your dreams every night.

Thank God for A.I then, in future games will probably have integrated A.I functions that'll be able to generate new girls every time you restart a new game.

Diversity makes our cocks hard.

If I see one more character with Voss hair, I swear to god...
How about "black girl with Tempest hair"? Or "rebellious young girl with MRL Gem hair"? Wanna meet somewhere? How about Haven park?

The absolute shitshow that is daz3d models and their prevalence is truly horrible. Theres no immersion to be had with the uncanny dolls and """moms""" looking the way they do. At best you can hope the dev doesnt do crazy facial expressions or start tweaking already shit models and make them even worse.
Hopefully AI will fix the art in coming years.

2d art games will always be the best but its expensive.

Different strokes for different folks. In 2D drawings, 3D models, even AI art now - you can get a wide variety of bodies. Personally, I like the turbo-bimbo titty monsters with breasts twice larger than their heads. But that's just my preference. And it doesn't seem to be that common, since daz3d is one of the most popular tools for 3D, and most devs make mostly relatively realistic people with it.

First of all, I agree with you Aphex. Ridiculously oversized male and female physical attributes are way more common in these adult games than they need to be. As a man with an average sized penis who prefers small breasts (but otherwise still enjoys feminine curves), I tend to have perpetual difficulty finding VN's that I can truly enjoy. After all, there aren't very many games that feature female love interests whose breasts aren't overly large, but at the same time with the feminine, naturally curvy (but not exaggerated) physique that isn't excessively lean at the same time. I became quite drawn to Holly from a post-apocalyptic game My Fallen Angels for this very reason, because she just looks like a natural, healthy young woman with small enough (in comparison to those huge ones from many other games! lol) breasts and enough meat on her bones without getting into the obese category.

Still, I try to compromise where my heart and my intellect can afford to do so. This usually comes in the form of a really good story that has a likeable MC as well as likeable romantic interests. For example, despite his having a massive dick, I loved playing as the MC of Now & Then (fine, Honey Select rendering is far from being 'realistic' visually speaking, but bear with me), because he had other qualities about him that made it easy for me to relate to him. But I've played games where the ridiculously endowed MC also happened to be a jerk, or was too much of a wuss, or both, in which cases I would find myself unable to quite get into the MC's character emotionally/mentally. I do, however, believe this may be different for those who tend not to "self-insert".

The whole subject of the breast size has come up before, and I have participated in these discussions on a couple of separate occasions myself. During such discussions, I have learned that there is more to the "big-tit-fest" phenomenon than a simple matter of people preferring exaggerated body shapes for quick sexual release, or of developing teams' trying to go for what they believe to be "better aesthetics". Reason being, all this is subjective depending on each individual's personal preferences. It's not a "one size fits all" template when it comes to what people find as sexually desirable. In other words, not everyone can automatically become aroused by overly big breasts and asses, and not everyone finds exaggerated physical attributes "aesthetically pleasing".

From what I have gathered, however, there also seems to be some sort of societal pressure put onto developers who create games that feature, for example, female characters with small breasts and, apparently, platforms such as Patreon would implement this kind of pressure tactics to practically (or, perhaps literally?) threaten these developers that their contents be banned unless they make the breasts of their female characters bigger. As far as I know, this information comes from at least one actual developer who has witnessed it happen firsthand, so I personally would like to perceive it as credible. I think this is how these platforms try to protect their own asses in case some people say the wrong things about the way the female characters "appear", and in turn begin to attract the unwanted attention.

This infuriates me because it essentially could be regarded as a propaganda to attempt stripping those of us who prefer small breasts of our basic right to have this otherwise natural preference, thus rendering us unable to fully enjoy the VN experience. It also sends the message that small breasts are not desirable, which is small-tit-shaming in my book. Ironically, even porn sites and adult webcam sites actually acknowledge the small tits niche. In the realm of (for example) 3DCG VN's, however, apparently all bets are off. The developer mentioned above has suspected that platforms such as Patreon would regard the breast size of B-cup as "too small".

As for the whole MILF thing, generally speaking I am not into that, so I can't really comment on it without making my opinion seem irrelevant to this particular thread.

I'm also annoyed when characters look indistinguishable excluding their hair, but people tend to have a favourite 'type' they gravitate towards. like serial killers only murdering girls looking like their mom. asking them to change their type is similar to asking a serial killer to murder a wider selection of women. they won't, because it's not their thing.

also I've never seen a deliberately varied selection of looks in a game not be mostly very unappealing (and I don't mean my own taste). tweaking daz models away from the default daz 'model girl' look is seriously challenging and requires you to be a painter good enough to draw that character. how else are you gonna know when to stop the slider and when to add more? daz is just another brush to use, and if your eye doesn't tell you when things go wrong the result is hideous.

so your average user is restricted to either using stock characters with very little adjusting, or only moving the sliders they think they understand. like the boob slider which they think 'more can't be less'. except that it can and we get what we get.

to put it short: they simply don't know better, and are bound by their limitations as (non)artists. it's not something they can change by a decision.

productions being void of all creativity isn't what bother me the most, but there are some creative mind out there, they see that uniformity and think to themselves that there's no successful alternative but to do what's mainstream, and they don't have the courage to try something new and original, and it's sad.

it's wrong, a properly written character will always be appealing no matter what it look like, whether it's the the Gremlins or the Na'vis...

big corpo do what seem to work because it's financially safe, if blue character become trendy you'll see blue characters in all media.
