There are no "only for patrons" game versions.
So there is not much meaning doing that, except screwing dev a bit, or being very impatient for newest demo
I mean, there are even some 1$ slots empty every month, if you're that hungry lol.

As for Trojan, there is no malware inside. Most java trying to update~
We dont really use some kind of hidden/closed stuff, you can pretty much check all libraries used in Universal version. I think liiike, all of them are kinda freeware you can source-check on Git? Its java, so.
WIndows may hate some of them thou, but i checked Virustotal and its pretty clean so far, was like 5 / 68

I will double-check just in case, but i'm pretty sure i haven't seen my version connecting to anything.
If you have game trying to connect with some malware sites, you most like already have troubles with some virus crap attaching itself to any .exe it can find.

pls, dont see us as some fucks trying to screw over devs.
some peeps simply like torrents over downloads. reasons are several: e.g. you can let the torrent run for months on end without it breaking up. super useful when you have a shite internet or even worse: limited bandwidth. it also doesnt need a webbrowser to be run. oh and our seeding machines are actually quite fast too, so for those speedy gonzalez out there, they will also get some nice speed numbers to jerk off to xD. last but not least: our torrents also serve as some sort of archive. if for some reason shit hits the fan on your ernd, on f95s end, or even on our end, these torrents will still be seeded by many of our members to keep the game alive.

Ah dont get me wrong, i'm not super very strict about sharing latest demo's, since they get update monthly regardless.
I'm normally getting discord DMs couple times per month, with game request "cuz me poor" or other kind of issue.

Usually i can share stuff myself when people are asking politely in dms~
But i kinda dislike that type of posts i saw here above, like "Hey pirates, prove you're pirates and gimme stuff for free".
That didn't even sound like a proper request, and its kinda triggering
I prefer not to pamper this kind of people.

assc0bar Dont mean to bother you, but can you tell me what you think of my idea of the escape function that would work before the fight actually loads? (quoting myself below so you dont have to scroll):

assc0bar Keep up the good work. Also I got a random idea how to make the game run faster (save loading time). Move/copy the escape function from the fight into the dungeon crawling phase, like when an enemy starts an encounter with you, you get a popup (fight or escape, or you can even name it fight or flight for extra science points ) and if escape succeeds, the fight wont even happen (that means it wont load), if it fails, then your team gets HP damage like you get with traps.

First, I apologize to even bringing this incident in the first place. This was more originally a dare to the two people I @, not out of greed, but just a slightly petty belittlement of the two aforementioned. I honestly didn't expect this to spill over so quickly and definitely not one where my demand fulfilled none other than a MOD.

I see. We usually rotate public like once 2 months, sometimes faster or slower depending on how we push out new content.
Especially if, for example, Patreon demo has good chunk of WIP content (not shaded, basic aniamtion with lack of finish, or something else), i prefer not to share these as public demo's as people kinda would be unhappy~
In most cases thou, i appreciate if people asking me directly. Aside of it being a good manner, its always amusing to discuss stuff with people or heard some opinions / propositions.
Sometimes we can delay public rotation due to some issues. Like me this winter, having no internet / electricity due to missile rain, that sucked a lot.
It was damn hard to upload even patreon content with mobile internet.

If you mean Overview page on Patreon, they kinda changed some stuff around creator page interface
(also they demanded to take down public versions from overview because porn should be hidden from eyes and stuff like that).
We mostly use Itch now for public demos or twitter to announce them.

I think it can be interesting but also it can bother some people because popup will also pause the game, and may need some workarounds to avoid bugs like we had before (aka you open chest at same moment fight starts, you get problems).
Maybe we will try adding some skills for characters to use in ISO specifically, i think of some like trap detection, extra loot and other stuff, maybe fight skip will be able skill draining character MP heavily or somethin like that.

Virustotal pro user; my system isn't the system used to test. It's virtualized sandboxes offered through various partner vendors such as microsoft sysinternals. Then also, hybrid-analysis by falcon. The assertion would have to be that these cyber security companies have compromised sandboxes... but these sandboxes don't trigger with any other common java applet, just your game.

What I think is more likely is that since you're using opensource libraries, it is very possible that some of those opensource libraries have some telemetry that points back to the developer of said libraries. That might not be malicious, but it is becoming an increasingly common practice. Even video games from mainstream companies include telemetry that measures all manner of things like amount of time spent in menus or how frequently a player needs to abort specific actions in the gameplay loop, etc. I'd not at all be surprised if an opensource library fed back information like hardware or country of use. Then also there's non-commercial requirements in some opensource libraries, and they'll do things like notice that their opensource library is being used inside a major corporation, leading to the open source creator suing the company for commercial use violation.

I'm giving you benefit of the doubt, but try to assume not everyone has a dirty system when they report to you that VM sandboxes are seeing telemetry and file dropping.

I tested all 3 versions, and for my system they didnt attempt to connect with anything outside my pc.
So unless its rare occurrence, i guess something different got injected into his .exe files?

You can't. They are for their specific maps.

You don't need that much to beat her. The second area is worse, primarily those redcaps.

Iounno, man. I run a priest/monk. At level 5, I get the minotaur down to ~150 health, mobs start spawning, and then I get clapped.

Soon i will buff monks and duelists classes a bit, as well as archers.
maybe they will get self-heal option or something else helping them avoid taking too much damage

Your gear may be low. Also, monk is weak indeed. Priest is fine, but not as good as shaman, or whatever the kitty mage is. I don't recall the level I usually am when I beat her, but maybe another level or two would help with that duo.

My kitty swordsman claps the minotaur with the blood sword. Then again, I am level 7-8
