I looking for games where there's male protagonist. the story is kinda like he gets a crush on someone. he tells her but she rejects but going forward she regrets the decisions. basically games where the LI rejects and then regrets...or maybe there was a miscommunication between them like in "intertwined" Doesn't really matter there's sex or not, im just looking for the theme. doesn't really matter but if the game is in renpy it's a plus. and it would be great if it's not like those fuck everything harem games. I want maybe a bit sad plot.

Thank you

hi, is this a game? or a web series? or book? Can u give me a link
Ahaha, no.
Xianxia is a Chinese genre of progression fantasy. You know, with cultivation, Dao, flying swords, harems, etc.

"broken engagement" is a cliche in these stories. It happens like that.
A girl was engaged to Main Character, when they are children. As a mean to establish an alliance between her clan and MC's clan, for example.
Then, he is crippled and considered to be a loser without any future, or his clan falls from grace, or the girl becomes too talented for him, etc.
And she/her elders are breaking the engagement.
It's like an utter humiliation for MC, among many others.

This kind of stories is "weak to strong".

So, then, MC finds a rare artifact, or gets noticed by a powerful cultivator, or someone powerful (or from our world) reincarnates into him, etc.
So, MC is gradually becoming strong.
And at some point, he has his revenge.
In some stories, it's more or less tame, like just meeting her again - and they fall in love, without even knowing that they were engaged before, etc.
Or beating her (or her new fiance) in battle - and "now you're too insignificant for me."
Sometimes, it's raping her to death and genociding her entire clan.

Anyway, the point is that "broken engagement" is quite common for these Chinese novels.
