VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Life Changes for Keeley [v1.0] [Tora Productions]

I'm only at 50% because the game consists of two main paths. The first choice for me was playing female. The script is very nice, the conversations are witty and believable (at least for a porn game). The graphics are stunning - I like the style a lot. There's only one not so good animation in this path and the game is rather short. But I recommend to check it.

This is the story of what happens to Keeley after she catches her husband, James, cheating on her.

Life Changes for Keeley is easily the best installment of the Keeleyverse. While James' route doesn't quite do it for me, Claryce's route is simply perfect.

honestly i don't really have much to say about this one it's rather short regardless of which route you take Keeley is apparently in another AVN by this dev but i am not sure which one it was a short sweet lesbian love story tho at least for the Clarice path and i enjoyed it very much even with it being rather short

This game has really strange game engine which was really out of my cup of tea. The story is somehow strange and only important part is guessing, where it is divided to different endings. ´The graphics save the voting because it is not bad at all.

The story is sweet (if slightly uneventful by the rather weird standard of lewd VNs), MC is relatable and articulate and reasonable, LIs are varied and interesting, writing is good, models rendering and "cinematography" are excellent.

The whole thing is a bit on the short side.

One thing I look for in a VN is a compelling story line that keeps my interest and immerses me in the lives of the characters. In a market dominated by male MC's that are little more than "fuck boys", it is refreshing when a project comes along that is anything but that! I have long been an outspoken critic of the lack of projects that feature Female MC's. After finishing "Chasing Beth", I really wanted to get my hands on another project from Tlaero.

Life Changes for Keeley is a short story from Tlaero that features a female MC, so I was anxious to get started on it. Life Changes for Keeley tells the story of a chance meeting between two women who come from very different walks of life. Keeley, a successful accountant in search of meaning in her life during a failing marriage and Claryce, a free spirited painter and book lover searching for a meaningful purpose in her art.

Both characters are fleshed out very well. Each has their share of insecurities and strengths and when they meet in the story, you get the feeling right away that there is chemistry between them. The story itself is a slow burn and even though the story is rather short, it still builds up with a pace that you normally do not see in short stories.

For me, Life Changes for Keeley is a rare love story that tells us how love can transcend stereotypes and ones own beliefs and ideas about relationships. For those looking for the instant gratification of gratuitous sex scenes, this isn't for you, but I recommend you give it a read just the same. Like most of Tlaero's stories, Life Changes for Keeley is in many ways a lesson in life. I found the subject matter and meaning to be far more than your typical girl meats girl transformation tale. It has one simple purpose in that it shows us that love is love no matter what a persons beliefs and moral position in life tells them.

The renders are very good and there is alot of stylized work that really goes along with the "artistic" substory that takes place. I called it Art within Art. If you are not a fan of the renders, I encourage you to go back and look again. None of the visuals are perfect and I feel that they are deliberately done that way. You see odd shadows here and there, imperfections in the character renders that almost feel like they were drawn in stunning detail and then had sand thrown at them while the ink was still wet. For this story, the "lack" of high end renders is a perfect fit for the story.

Honestly, the only complaint I have about Life Changes for Keeley is that the ending felt a bit rushed and abrupt. I really feel like there was more story there to tell. How did Keeley's divorce turn out? How did Keeley's thoughts on her life and her relationship with Claryce effect her everyday life? Did Keeley and Claryce marry? How did their child come to be? Did they adopt or Did Keeley have their child with the help of a sperm donor? Although I wouldn't want the story to drag on, it would have been cool to see how those things worked out.

I give Life Changes for Keeley 5 stars. It is a truly sweet and inspiring love story and a refreshing break from the norm. It is my hope that we are able to see more. Perhaps a story about their child having grown up? One can only hope.

so the only negative about all of this is, it's so good that it felt a bit to short. i really hope there is more comming up. the writting is awesome and the renders are really good.

when i could have a wish i would use it for a longer story and some more animations. hope to get more of your storys!

Iam not a guy for the short ones... i like slowburns, and a build up in VNs.

But i liked this opne here... its not a game just for porn. The DEVs have a story to tell about a broken merriage and what this thing can do with the people... not very complex, but short and easy to relate too.

There are some flaws, but nothing is perfect.

I only played the part with james. Its not really my cup of tea to play female protagonists... i learned that i just cant relate to them in any way, no matter how good the writing is. (i read many books too where the main protagonist is female, always had problems with that, cant really tell why)

So playing a guy who has cheated on his wife was a little bit strange... i hate cheater, very much. Would never do it to my love.

I liked the short "random" encounter with the girls and how turning them down makes it very clear how remorseful James can be, and how much he regreted to hurt his wife. Though it was kinda odd that every girl in the game wanted to have sex in a instant with james... of course i looked the scenes up, but played the game through to get back keeley.

The sex-scenes are decent, animatiosn are not that good, would have been better without i would say.

the overall renders are top, yeah there are many complains about the "hairy" part, and i have to say, i dont like that either... but besides its a question of "taste" i have to say, the pubichair looks really strange in the game. Dont know.... not well made, and strange too cause the renders overall are top notch, but the pubic hair is really strange and gross. Not a big thing, but i mention it cause most of the girls have it in this game.

I looked up the other games of tora productions, but they didnt catch me...

Maybe the two of you could do a larger game in the future, with bigger story to tell, but maybe youre not made for this, cause you dont want to write and work on the same game for many years. But i think you could actually pull off something great, cause your story-writing is really good i think.

What a wonderful short story! Life Changes for Keeley is a fantastic story about a woman who is struggling to deal with her husband's infidelity. It is an inside view of a complex situation -- not some erotica puff-piece on a cheating spouse!

The characters are portrayed with emotion and depth. The husband is not portrayed as scum. He has had his share of tough times. The 'friend' is not some sex-crazed man-hater trying to bed the grieving wife at all costs. She is understanding and truly wants to see Keeley happy. As for Keely, she struggles with the difficult circumstances of loving a man who truly means the world to her, and the pain of betrayal.

Of course, the novel is beautifully illustrated. Each scene provides maximum impact to the emotion and sensuality of the writing. You will want to play through multiple times just to view the detail each image provides to the different routes. Playing through each character choice (choice to play as Keeley's husband or the 'friend') also gives a more complete story of what happens to Keeley as she either accepts her new life or forgives her husband and returns to him.

I truly enjoyed this novel. Illustrated as beautifully as it is written, I am sure you save this for future playback!

Short but sweet. It lacked some of the build up I would have preferred, getting to know the characters and watch their relationship build over time. But that is not what the author intended and I understand its a short story.

I would have rather had the husband's story ditched and the effort put into James' story put into more of Keely and Claryce who were just wonderful.

Happy lesbian romance games are far too scarce. so I tend to give ones that manage to make me smile by the end 5 stars but this one was actually rather nicedespite certain parts feeling a bit rushed.

Claryce is amazing. kind, understanding and I love how she can be both confident and vulnerable depending on the moment, makes her feel more alive, while her story might be happily ever aftered and it would feel odd to see her in an alternate storyline for me, I hope we might see another character inspired by her from the author in a future story.

But for my money the happily ever after with Claryce and Keely (and Keisha on special occasions) was very satisfying even if it was a bit rushed due to it being a short story.

I hope the writer will create another long form game based around a F/F romance like this one because as much as I loved it, it left me wanting more. Kind of like getting a bite or a really amazing steak only to have the plate taken away before you are done. The small bit was still amazing, but more would be better.

Short and sweet VN. Well written & crafted story that goes beyond the usual paper-thin porn plot, and actually manages to be somewhat engaging in its own right. Choices are not simply "Fuck? yes/no", but actually matter and lead to different outcomes and endings, without falling into the trap of obscure hidden stat checks where you need to game the system and play perfectly (also known as using a walkthrough). Finally, the renders are really good, the cast is super hot, and the sex plentiful.

This was a very well written story, if a bit rushed at the end(at least the way I played it, lesbian route, hate cheaters, if the wife was the cheater, then would have played the male). That rushed ending is the only thing keeping it from that final star. I love all the female characters I met in my playthrough and the gay artist plus the bookstore owner seemed like two cool guys that I would have a drink with some time. In my mind, the sleazy husband ends up in jail for uploading that video without her permission(I think that is supposed to be illegal, should be if not).

Tlaero is an amazing writer, and this is an amazing game. I played the lesbian story, and it's the only game I've played where I actually felt butterflies in my stomach as if I were the main character.

Great stuff, Tlaero! Keep 'em coming.

I'm making this review based on playing only Claryce's route. I'm not interested in Jame's route. So it was a short game.
Art is amazing. Superb Renders and design.
Writing is masterfully done, sensible, and believable.
Both Claryce and Keeley are amazing. I fell in love with both fast and was never disappointed by their relationship.

This is a short visual novel that is divided into two parts. In one, you control a guy that cheated on his wife before the events of the game. On the other, you can control a lesbian that will develop a relationship with the wife that the husband cheated. The game warns at the very beginning that the husband's story will be more focused on sex and the lesbian's story will more focused on romantic interactions. Funnily enough, I found the final scene of the later better than all the scenes of the husband's route.

So as you can guess, the weakest link here is the husband's story. I don't appreciate the fact that he appears no matter what in the girl's story (if she goes on in a relationship with the wife) as a complete douchebag and still will some feelings for the wife. In his own story, there will be a scene of him trying to win her trust back no matter what as well. It's the game making choices for you. In the end, overlapping the two stories with contradicting events wasn't the best idea.

It gets worse in the husband's case though. You have a choice during his route to try the win the wife's back or just keeping getting sex scenes with different women. Sadly, the sex scenes of this game are fairly short and the scenarios for the husband are just random and not that well developed. To win the wife's back, just keep denying the women all the way, while getting scenes where they have sex with other men. Yay?

By comparison, the girl's route is way better, even though only has two sex scenes if you choose to be romantically involved with the wife. But you can also choose to not get involved romantically with the wife. In this scenario, you get a scene of her fantasying with the girl's boss and then helping her getting back with her husband (who doesn't act like a douchebag in this universe). And then, the weird proposal of having a three-way relationship with the husband even though the relationship between the two women was platonic the whole time. Then you have a threesome scene, but it's so short.

Nice graphics and models though. No animations, with few exceptions.

Summing up, TL;DR: this game has many ups and downs in my view. But it's very short, so you wouldn't waste that much time if you decide to give it a try.

I was thinking this might have been from the perspective of the wife, but its not. The Mc can be either the cheating husband or the lesbian LI.

Which this in itself is somewhat of a different approach to a vn, in a lot of whats here does hit close to home, I found it compelling reading.

I Highly recommend this VN its a Feelgood type of VN without too many twists that your glad to have read.

A story of redemption in which you will have to resist temptation (or not, it is up to you) and all without feeling slowness.

With a visual and animation quality, far above average, everything is very clean and well done. The characters are sympathetic, varied and sexy to complicate you the task and also to please the greatest number.

In short, it is a very pleasant game, we can play it without having made the other games. Which is very cool in itself but I regret not having played the previous game especially after seeing the post-end scene. Because Tlaero and Mortze, we look like very passionate people and you can feel it in their creations. Clearly, he deserves his 4 stars.

I recommend it and I also recommend you to go and follow their other projects and since criticism is easier than practice, I would like to say thank you and bravo to Tora Productions for their work.

The game has two stories with one being great the other one was very good, i love that the characters have hairy pussies like all their other games.
This game is worth playing if you like nice renders and a good story.

I remember very well playing the 1st generation Keeley-verse game, so it's been a nostalgic vibe to play this one just like the Christine game.

Excellent quality for the graphics, the ones what hit me the most is the shower scene, I really found very realistic how the wet body by the steam and the water was displayed.

Tlaero's writing style is very recognizable, as well of how the period of time was elapsed.

It's cool to see you made the transition from HTML to Ren'Py.

Good compelling story, reliable and grounded characters. The only part i didn't like, following the husband route to the good ending, that after everything went well, you can't avoid reconciling with the wife. I would have loved something like "thank you, but no, i'm done with you too.".

In general i really hate unavoidable sex scenes in this game. Being unable to decide kills my immersion.

Especially when the unavoidable intercourse is with the (lame, gross, unlickable) (step)mother of the protagonist. Which is not the case of this game, of course.
