Choices choices choices choices CHOICES!!!!!!!!
It's a shame that text based games don't get the love that they should. While I haven't explored everything this game has to offer yet, I can tell this is quality work. In the vein of the great granddaddy CoC, you're thrust into a world of sex and corruption, and you find your body transforming as you play with the various effects that you find.
However the comparison to CoC isn't accurate, because Lilith's Throne takes the style to a whole new level. With options for settings that are nearly mind numbing, it allows you to customize your play style and fetishes to almost any desire that is in the game.
In fact, it's one of these settings that would alleviate my only criticism. I felt like the game was a bit too easy, and that was going to be my main 'con' to the game. Then I remembered there was a difficulty setting that I didn't touch, and the default is on the easiest setting. (facepalm) So I really have nothing that I can say negatively about this game.
Do you like your furries mostly human? Set it that way. Like them full fur? Set it that way. Don't like bat morphs? Turn em off. Want more humans and less furries? Yup, that's a setting you can choose.
I would say that the only potential down side that I noticed is that I like playing a corruption demon style game with this format, and as of the current build (2.4) there doesn't seem to be an obvious route to transforming into a demon (succubus and incubus are the same thing since they can choose their gender and transform at will). But I have to grant that the game is still in development, so that may just not be implemented yet.
In addition to all the wonderful options you have to choose from, there's choice in game. Go with a melee build, a seduction build, a spell caster, an elementalist.... all just laid out for you to choose from. Spend your upgrade points on growing your fetishes, crafting items, or enchanting gear. Oh, you want slavery? You want a slavemaker style game inside your game? Guess what. They did that too. You can capture monster girl / boy / futa / genderless doll creatures after combat, then train them to be obediant slaves, whore them out as prostitutes, or just your own personal fuck toy.
Hell, there's even a tiny bit of optional pseudo incest, if that's your thing. Totally avoidable if it's not.
Are you getting the gist of this review yet? You have the choices.
Underneath all of this the writing is quite well done. While I don't love every particular word choice used (cherry for example) that's just personal taste. But what is written is A+ for content and quality. After playing for a few hours, I don't think I noticed a single obvious grammatical or spelling error.... in a game that's all text based.
Final note here, if you enjoyed Corruption of Champions, you owe it to yourself to check this one out. Just be ready for a lot of choices.
