Any significant additions to the main storyline or has it only been bug fixes in the last year or so?

**Edited, never mind saw there was a change log and found my answer... if anyone else is wondering there has only been bug fixes and feature additions. No additional Main storyline :(, but a few additions to side quest/story stuff was added.

Holy shit Innoxia is fucking amazing they were once again able to release a new build that dont progress anything while stretching 0.3 even more. Holy shit I really thought we were going to get 0.4 but then it was 0.3.10. Great shit

it pays to pay attention sometimes because they said that 3.10 to get race modding out the door before fields. not saying that its good or bad just read what is writen on their blog/substar once and a while so that you don't get confused friend. not trying to be condescending just want to help you out in the future to not be confused on what is happening

By now i have the stronk impression that Innoxia isn't capable of coding things in a tidy way. The amount of bugfixing and reworking is insane and i haven't seen it anywhere else.

The only thing that tops this was a project that had be started from scratch because no one gave a shit about being careful and in the end everything was a mess, making bugfixing a nightmare because it was extremely time consuming.

So many text-based games get so caught up with these overcomplicated systems held up by a shitstorm of code that do nothing to solve the one problem a porn game has. If you're a solo developer writing smut, then the primary thing you should be doing is writing smut, or your work is going to go nowhere no matter how much effort you put in, because the actual content of your game is porn.

There's no point building a massive system for something that you don't have.

I think she's learning to do so, but the bigger a project is the harder it is to make fundamental architectural changes. The various refactors and revamps she's been doing are bringing the project to where it should have been from the beginning, and as long as she's doing that somewhat well (disclaimer: I haven't looked into the implementation of the new race system yet) it shouldn't need any significant changes moving forward.

If Lilith's Throne is Inno's first major project—and I somewhat suspect that it is—she has the misfortune of learning how to code with a giant spotlight over her head. I find it hard to be too upset over any of this (it's not like she isn't working on it at this point), but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

I honestly don't get this argument. If a developer wants to make something more than just basic Twine smut, why try to stop or discourage them? If all you're looking for is a quick fap there's plenty of other titles that fit the bill, after all.

The reason people are disappointed by the issues that LT has is because they enjoy the setting and the various unique systems that the game offers. If it were Yet Another CYOA game people wouldn't be talking about it nearly as much, methinks.

Have you ever made a game by yourself? It's exceptionally difficult to do, and I am not out to tear down someone else's work, it's just the reality that when you are working on a project you have to decide what it is you want to accomplish and stick to it.

The more shit you try do the slower you go, the more errors you get, and the harder it becomes to finish your work. People here vastly underestimate how hard it is to have scenes like those in this game or Newlife, so starting other branches of the project when you haven't even finished that is just asking for trouble.

Restraint is an important part of the creative process, it's just the way it is.

That seems to run counter to what you said earlier, where you basically implied that her primary focus should be writing smut just because it's a porn game. Apologies if I misinterpreted your original post.

The thing is, it's pretty clear that Inno has been aiming high since the project started. If she just wanted to write erotic fiction she could have just grabbed Twine and hammered out something with minimal experience. The reason there are so many complex systems in place is to facilitate her vision, and—based on my personal and professional experience—I stand by my theory that the reason for LT being in the state it's in is due to her engineering inexperience. Planning a series of intertwined, complex systems is especially difficult when you aren't where to even start, after all, and one of the most harrowing things you can do is jump in full speed ahead without having an idea of how things are going to interact on a technical level.

I agree that restraint is important, but I just don't think that's the real problem here. The issue isn't that she's adding a bunch of complicated systems, the problem is that the systems that are in place are clunky and inflexible. The game has been in a cycle of rework, not growth. Ideally, Inno could pay someone to unfuck the engine while she works on content, but I'm not sure that's an option in this case.

Went to check if new update that took a month consists of anything else but bugfixes, incomprehensible engine tweaks and several new items that nobody will use. Of course I was right to not expect much x) Lets wait another year for new chunk of story lol.

Yeah, I think many are conflating the attributes of the media format and have a mismatched perspective. It starts with the notion that games are always like linear stories. Yes, plot and narrative are huge parts of games sometimes, but other times it takes a back seat to other issues and features. It's not like a novelist who refuses to publish the next installment or a screenwriter who won't finish their movie script.

If I wanted a complete smut story, I would read a book, no joke. I think users here would be amazed by books because they like text and narrative, plot and characters. Authors usually know their craft, otherwise their critics would hound them as well. Often, when I'm trying something on this site, it barely qualifies as a "game" in my mind. You know, where you click through pages of text and images, only to come to some inconsequential choice, when it doesn't matter what the PC does. Or, when you take a significant turn down the wrong path with no way to undo it. I usually regret being given the choice in the first place in both those cases. That's when I think, I much rather someone read this game to me like an audiobook. Folks are fixated on a certain mode that doesn't make sense to me, as an avid consumer of book smut. And if you like pictures, there's comics/manga too.

My bad, that was a long digression. In any case, progress on this type of project doesn't always pay off, so it's silly to have the perspective of a disappointed consumer since we already knew this was coming and we shouldn't be really invested in such expectations anyway.

I like how fools are posting how long they waited for this patch, only to find it didn't have what they wanted. Haha, I don't get it. We knew from the dev blog, months in advance, the outline of this update. If your expectations were already low, and now the development failed to exceed those expectations, then I would assume you wouldn't be disappointed. And yet, they keep coming with their cliche jokes, lol.

you find another game that you can get pregnant or get someone else pregnant, give birth/wait for them to give birth, find your own kids, and have kids with them with the level of customization Lilith's throne and before you say Corruption of champions that is only with minotaurs, goblins, and maybe if you know the mechanics of how a encounter works and like to think it like that imps

+1

In addition: bugfixing, tiding up the engine and making tutorials, tools and possibilities for general modmaking will open the true potential of this already great game — flexibility and customization on par with its own characters.
It is a bit sad that story is frozen for now.
Who can be serious saying that the foundation made to ease addition of entirely new races, ferals and things like oviposition is a small thing?
