Okay seriously, what's with Inno and not releasing on time? How about just say it'll be ready sometime and you're working on it and maybe give progress reports instead of constantly delaying which leads to people giving up on the game?

The 0.4 we'd supposedly get next week will probably be just the bare bones of whatever Inno has promised, and she'll then take forever to add more contents to it by (again, supposedly) weekly patches. I'm still thinking about the "expanding house permit" at the Town Hall.
Considering how long it took her to make 0.4, if we're lucky enough, we might be able to get a glimpse of 1.0 on our deathbed.

Quick question, is the vibration enchantment actually functioning with the bras and stuff now? I just tried to do that and it didn't pop up.

If anybody doesn't know how to make it pop up naturally, I found a work around.

If you save the enchantment of vibrating panties, you can copy and paste that line of code to another enchantment save. If you do this, I would recommend only doing it to clothes that should have been given access to it in v0.3.20.

Is there an easier way to sell an inventory full of loot?
I got most of my cash early on just by stealing from people who attack me, but there's like a 1-second delay where the UIhas to reload after you sell each item.

If I could highlight multiple items at once and hit sell-all, or designate items as vender-trash, it'd be a lot easier.

Edit: also, multiple skills say that they only crit on the first usage, but cannot be used three times in one turn.
Is this intended behaviour? Do you get more AP later somehow?
The inventory is really, really bad. It's like they ripped off Terraria, but did it worse, and the inventory is widely agreed to be the worst part of Terarria.

The best option is to edit your save file or use an auto-clicker that lets you record macros. But this game *really* doesn't handle more than 20 inputs a second well, so make sure you use a slow one.

New post on the blog... still not there yet.
The only surprise there is that we got blog post so early.

Oh hey, you must be...

You must be new here. Welcome. You get to sit in hell with the rest of us now.
I was going to make that joke, dammit...

Oh yeah, I've been saying it all along. Based on what Inno is saying, don't expect much more than the city map (with placeholder text, because we know that'll happen again), the one story fight to enter the city, and the standard filler encounters (likely also with placeholder text).

We *might* get a little more story content than that, maybe. Like, just to wrap up that quest without doing anything beyond letting you into the city. But I gotta say, I'm really waiting to see how incredibly disjointed it's going to be from the previous quest.

Quick Ninja Edit: I didn't actually read the dev post until now. I think I nailed it on the placeholder jabs. That wasn't intentional, I just know how this game goes, we always get a ton of placeholder content.

Is anyone keeping a running count of how many times 0.4 has been delayed?
There was someone keeping track of it, but after 9 months they got bored and stopped. I think it's in the game reviews up dated to about, like, four months ago.

Honestly with how slow story goes i'm mostly hyped for feral content to be added and see how it affects builds, specially considering some items like the demonstones already have in their description the "can be used by ferals" tag.

Btw i wonder if the "Human Liberation Front" thing that was hinted at will become a way to introduce real tech items from outside Lilith's Realm instead of the Arcane Pea-Shooters? like that REAL GUN that deals over 3.000 damage but "Balanced" maybe?

Considering feral content hasn't been mentioned in months, I wouldn't expect it yet. In fact, it was only really mentioned because they wanted feral content in the random filler encounters, but that also hasn't been mentioned in like 6+ months now.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if feral content has been cut entirely, or completely forgotten about. Unless a contributor makes it works. That seems more likely lol

So I don't know shit about coding, but I've been screwing around with it trying to see what I can tweak to make the game more personally tailored to my tastes and I can not for the life of me figure out how to get characters to stop spawning with certain personality traits and fetishes. Can anyone offer some advice?
I'd start with DominionAlleywayAttacker.java. The constructor sets up the fetishes and traits. Traits are easier: there is a call to Main.game.getCharacterUtils().setHistoryAndPersonality. You can dig around in there, or just ignore whatever it does, and after it sets up the traits, just do clearTraits() and addPersonalityTrait.

Fetishes goes to a more complicated Main.game.getCharacterUtils().addFetishes(this); but you can use the same strategy of clearing whatever was added, and adding you want instead.

Dude hope that's not the case, was hyped for that, but guess one way to find out easy is during next update (whenever the hell it arrives) check if Demonstone still has that "works on feral" tag, if it doesn't then i'll take it as the indirect "there's no feral content coming" announcement.

From what I dimly remember of long-ago Inno statements, the answer goes something like: publicly setting deadlines, realistic or not, is some sort of self-motivation prop, which is why Inno clings to still doing it even though it just makes half the playerbase super angry all the time.

However, it seems to have completely stopped working or even become actively counterproductive, possibly because of half the playerbase being super angry all the time. Despite this, Inno will not or cannot let go and stop doing it and keep their personal deadlines private, because that would negate the benefits of public deadlines (that are no longer working anyway).

I'm not somebody who bothers getting super angry about porn games, hell I still play Cloud Meadow a couple times a year, it's cute so whatever. But LT's situation does often seem particularly dysfunctional now, and it's kind of saddening compared to when I first discovered the game and people were excited about it and it came across as a more customizable CoC.

...okay? but the unique aspects of the game, I.E. the unique characters, are not something you control. the author (Inno) has written them to mean what they are to her. Name me one sandbox game where you can just freely edit the apperence, personalities of unique NPC and you can just do literally anything you want to them.
Degrees of Lewdity is probably the closest. You can alter the gender of every unique. Some have differing personalities depending on how you interact with them, but I think that's true of some characters in this game too(Helena becomes submissive or dominant depending on how you do her romance for example).

Race changes wouldn't make sense for a lot of things.(No dogmorphs playing the role of harpy queen for example) But I'd say there's pretty much no reason for most uniques currently to have set genders either. The Harpies are really the only ones I can think of based on how their society is setup. Does it matter if Roxy is male or female given her personality is basically "I want an oral sex slave"? What really changes if the slime queen is a slime king? Or if Brax started as a woman?

Also, fetish(The part thats actually editable in this game) != personality(The part that isn't). Though a selection of characters in game are currently "I am x fetish" instead of an actual personality(roxy/vicky/slime queen), that part's entirely on the writer. A fetish can have an influence someone's personality but it doesn't need to either; there's an entire trope about domineering people secretly being submissive in bed for example.

With all that said, this definitely isn't something to be changed now. Inno already has trouble releasing something promised for a year now as being the "next update".

To join into the discussion on changing NPCs and having those changes stick, here's the one thing I'll say...

No matter which option you choose as a dev, having them stick or not, if you don't suck at your job you're going to include some in-game explanation for WHY the outcome is what it is.

That's all that you have to do to make either option work. Scarlet is the best example of this (as a complete failure, not a success). You get given her as a slave, and you can do whatever you want with her. But then you give her back, and all the changes are undone without any explanation or comment. And then it immediately asks you if you want to re-do some of the changes you may have made? Like, WTF. That's an incredibly awful design.

And the set up is so incredibly easy, all they had to do was having a passing comment about how Scarlet's sister asked for the modifications to be undone. Boom; narrative reason why the NPC changes don't stick.

But this all comes down to player agency, which is a very core concept when designing RPGs. And a concept that LT has completely abandoned, in my opinion, just look at the horrible writing behind Nyan's romance quest. You could really expand on the Scarlet example as well, and create all sorts of ways to acknowledge the player's past choices. If the player made Scarlet female during her enslavement, instead of immediately asking the player if Helena should make Scarlet female (again, without ever acknowledging your previous choices...), have Helena ask if the player would like to keep Scarlet female, or change her back into a male.

If your games encounter/scene system doesn't suck, that should be a trivial thing to add with maybe 10 minutes worth of writing behind it, but it would go a long ways toward improving player agency and immersion.

But to loop back to the point; it doesn't matter whether changes to NPCs stick, what matters is that you acknowledge the players actions and give a narrative reason for the outcome. LT is shit at that.

Dude hope that's not the case, was hyped for that, but guess one way to find out easy is during next update (whenever the hell it arrives) check if Demonstone still has that "works on feral" tag, if it doesn't then i'll take it as the indirect "there's no feral content coming" announcement.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that feral content has been cancelled entirely. That would be silly, there's a much easier solution. What I'm saying is that, instead of cancelling it, we'll just ignore it for a year or two.

Don't worry, if the game even exists, in two years we'll all be wondering when we're going to be getting the 3rd city, so we'll be too distracted to loop back around to feral content.

I'm not somebody who bothers getting super angry about porn games
Just to be clear here, outside of maybe one specific person, most of us here are not angry.

That's assuming *way too* emotional investment than most of us are willing to give it. There's lots of us who will talk shit and dump on the stupidity of it all, but that doesn't make us angry. This isn't something personal to me, LT is a product that Inno is trying to sell, it's not something I've hooked to my self worth or anything lol

And I can absolutely laugh at a trainwreck of a project without caring nearly enough to be angry lol

This is entertainment. My entertainment doesn't make me angry. If it did, I'd find something else to bother with.

Everyone online always acts like anyone saying anything negative or calling out something stupid is somehow mad or angry. They're probably not.

I've only been here since January. When I say "the playerbase" I mean the entire thing, including the now-gone blog comments and the discord and various other forums that have come up on Google when I was trying to look up how to do this or that in LT. People on F95 may be beacons of calm rationality (I've seen the Cloud Meadow thread and some of the stuff from several people here that later got deleted, though, so I'm not convinced) but plenty of LT players out there publicly haven't been. Over the course of years, even.

There's not really a need to declare "but I'm not mad!" if you know the post wasn't about you, you know? Especially when I'm not even sitting here calling people out, but pointing out that Inno's methods for self-motivation are basically just self-destruction at this point and no one, not even Inno, seems to be happy as a result of them.

From what I can tell, ferals and taur share the triple unarmed damage mechanic, so they'll be similar, though I imagine this could be subject to change. As of now, ferals are just kind of worse than taurs since ferals can't equip clothes, which means you lose out on natural stats from gear, though I imagine this isn't especially impactful.
You can get some spicy damage, though; this is with 100 physique and no soldier buff as a feral wolf.
