how do u get the trickster set again, i forgot

It wouldn't surprise me if you can't actually get that trickster set, without using debug to spawn the items (Eyes, over-torso, torso, melee). Yeah, I actually loaded up the game and looked through all the different spawn items to find those.

If there is a legitimate way to get those items, it is probably going to be during the Christmas period, as things that you can buy from the various reindeer overseers or that you can get from the Christmas gifts.

Mine is to take soldier, (double damage first round)
get scientist outfit
get slavers license (5000 money)
go to nyan store sell all excess clothing
go to weapon store buy as many essences as you can
enchant a ring for slavery
go to the space one to the left of home
explore till you fight someone
enslave them
head to slavers alley
retrieve slave ring
sell slave
rinse and repeat till you have enough money to buy 4 bed slave room and more slave rings

Playing through the game again after the "update" dropped reminded me how Meraxis is the best character in the game..it also filled me with depression that we still can't get with Shadow and Silence

compiled on & for linux, but should work everywhere as java is typically platform agnostic

I tried running the exe under wine, and it was not happy.

Soldier is broken... I also suggest you morph into full horse (no pegasus, not unicorn, just horse) and buy an entire set of buttler and cow outfits (they don't override each other) and you will win each time by just punching out 3 times.
Also, i don't enchant rings, I enchant panties

Don't even need to buy anything to enchant, just take some equipment from the opponent and enchant that.

I like choosing Noble, just because I like to go full demon when I can and the bonus to shielding for your corruption is a nice perk.

Also why buy items to enchant for enslaving people, just take one of their items.

I pick either chef or musician (imo those and soldier are the only jobs worth picking) depending on if I want more offense and defense (chef) or longer debuffs (musician). Fights against singlular enemies are over in one turn without soldier anyways, and soldier does nothing turn two+ so once you can maintain the potion effects, with chef you just have a +50 to ALL stats, which helps a lot in multi-boss fights or imp gangs. Musician's kinda funny though, since you can pretty much permastun anything with witch seal (from equipping witch broom), and the upgraded flash and ice shard spells for -6 ap to anything. Even without extended spell effects, alternating between 2 targets with upgraded ice shard twice and flash gives -3 ap, which is what most enemies have, meaning they never get a turn. Extra duration makes the stun last longer, giving you some leeway to cast upgraded soothing waters to heal, restore mana, and potentially res your elemental (at least, I think it can res) if you need it.

Also for your summoned elemental, unequip all abilities you don't want it using. I always take water elemental and just leave ice shard, soothing waters, and give it a broom so it gets witch seal. You can also change its targeting priority in battle to make it take different actions if it tries to heal on turn 1, for example.

I, uh, mostly played on Lillith difficulty, so all of this is way overkill for normal difficulty... but if there's a combat system with any degree of intriguing depth and customization, I WILL break it to the best of my abilities.

Haven't played in half a year, but I'm pretty sure nothing much changed. So, I'd go for these.
As much starter clothes as possible
Soldier
Scientific outfit
Sell clothes
Do all the slave stuff for money
Go to the sewer to change into a slime for free
Get the shotgun
Enchant whatever that slime item is called to turn into a dragon

It's pretty handy to start this way especially if you are playing on the hardest difficulty. Although, I'd stick with slime for a while because the physical block is good enough early on.

My game's a year and a half out of date, but I don't think either of the two updates changed this.

I go for salamander over dragon, the frost/flame salamander gives +75% cold/fire damage and +15% crit power instead of the dragons +20% fire damage. The increased physique from dragon means crit power ends up a bit higher, but the extra physical damage is useless and spells are too under-tuned to make the arcane worth considering.
