It is a translation software based on AiNiee, another AI translation tool which too can do ai translation of VN script and various type of text script.

It supports:

  • Game Script exported by (.rpy)
  • Game Script exported by (.json)
  • Game Script exported by (.txt .json .xlsx)
  • Game Script exported by (.xlsx)
Translation API can set to be any as long as it is under OpenAI format like ollama, koboldcpp for local, and various online API service like ChatGPT 4o,Deepseek v3,R1 and Gemini

One of the major selling point of this software is the usage of Glossary to make character name and term much more stable, example below:

Hello, is it possible to add other target languages like German? I would like to test the program in conjunction with LM-Studio and the OpenAI connections. Best regards

Thank you for your review, LinguaGacha previously focused more on Chinese players, so didn't spend much effort on internationalization, if everyone needs it, support for more languages will be added gradually in future updates ;)

Read the text line by line, then combine it into multiple tasks according to certain rules for parallel translation. The amount of text per task and the number of parallel tasks depend on your settings—actually, I suggest you don't get hung up on these concepts or change any default settings. Just follow the step-by-step tutorial on the wiki.

Thanks for sharing, just tried it today and it is genuinely the best translating software I've used. Honestly can't believe it is free

Wow! After the latest updates, the programme translates super-fast and uses fewer tokens. Great work — thanks again!

"Hey developer, would you be able to help with localization testing for the game 'Gothcuck'?" I've worked on Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese translations, but it always causes errors. Zenpy also produces the same errors.

Firstly, your program is excellent; it's suspiciously good for being free. I performed my first Ren'Py translation work today. Can only translation files created with the Ren'Py SDK (.rpyc files) be translated, or can regular .rpy files also be translated?

I apologize, but could you localize this game directly yourself? I'm curious if the game itself is just poorly made garbage by the developer, or if there's a problem with the translation program. Given that Zenpy causes the same errors, I suspect the former is true. Thank you."

alright, after struggling for a few hours last night, I finally got it to work with a local translation backend with decent speed. here's what i did:

1. download (the program linked from linguagacha's github. the github page and the batch files are in chinese, i just worked around this with page translation.) NV if you have a nvidia card with cuda, vulkan for amd.

2. Extract in a comfortable location.

3. I had to open the "00_Core.bat" with a text editor and change the address in line 93 to "127.0.0.1". the server could not bind to 0.0.0.0 on my machine

4. For Japanese to English, download the qwen model corresponding with your vram amount in the left column from the links on the github page (the other linked sakura model is trained for japanese to chinese)
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
The model goes just in the folder with the bat files.

5. launch the server with the right bat file. it will automatically load your model. the llama server will boot up, give it some time until you see this in the command window
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

6. now in linguagacha, you just have to add/edit the openai-api to the address in the command window ("127.0.0.1:8080") in this case. activate the api.

7. READ and FOLLOW the other setup instructions of

Now if you start the translation, it should use your local server.

Thank you so much devs for a truly streamlined and usable translation tool!

LM Studio also works. You can download local models (.gguf) from Hugging Face and test which one performs well.
