This is a strange game. Outwardly this looks like a corruption RPG centered around pregnancy, but it turns out the game eschews corruption themes in favor of cultural differences and assimilation while the basic game design goes a bit against its themes.
Story & World
You play as Lisette, the servant/bodyguard of a noble young man. Because of a pirate attack their ship ends up being wrecked on a island known to be cursed. Every refugee fears the worst but it becomes clear immediately that the island isn't really cursed, just inhabited by people who worship a goddess of pregnancy and, as a result, have a rather casual view on sex.
This sounds pretty generic said like this (and it is, to some extent) but what's interesting about the game is that despite how the prologue really checks all the boxes to make you believe the island has a terrible secret and the inhabitants evil decadent savages, it quickly dispels the initial impressions by presenting the islanders are normal people, just ones with very different cultural norms.
The greater setting (outside the island) isn't very developped but it isn't really necessary to do so for the purpose of the game. Interestingly, there are clues inserted a bit everywhere that explains why the island ended up so oversexed, though it's never spelled out directly, leaving the player to infer.
In short, the effort put into the setting is adequate for a game of about 5-10 hours. It won't make a lasting impression, but it does its job when you play.
Characters
You spend the game controlling Lisette and, to a lesser extent, another refugee named Adeline. Both start the game as fairly prudish characters (Lisette even has a crush on her lord), and it's up to you whether they stay that way or adopt the islanders's way of life.
Unlike many games with a similar premise, there is not really a corruption arc here. The islanders are not presented as evil or particularly decadent. Notably, there's a very strong sense of community on the island—they look out for her own, and they can be pretty respectful of foreigners too.
In the end most characters are fairly likeable, and those who aren't are clearly villains.
Gameplay
A lot of it is standard RPG Maker fare, with little to make it memorable or interesting. You only ever control Lisette and Adeline in battle and their roles are fixed. Strategy is wholly unnecessary, new areas are just a stat check. Defeating enemies don't yield experience, you only gain gold and items. Levelling up is done through "contribution points", earned by doing quests (or donating money to the village). Equipment can be get by crafting, which requires materials found during the exploration phase or by defeating mobs.
There's nothing particularly
good about all this but it isn't particularly bad either.
Graphics
Pretty meh. Maps and enemies are RPG Maker RTP and not used especially well. Character art and CG isn't awful, but anatomy is sometimes questionable, especially when it comes to feet.
Soundtrack
A mix of RTP and royalties-free tracks that ends up very forgettable. Only the church theme is somewhat haunting, and I suspect I found it so only because it's the same used in Black Souls for the church in Elixir, which has very memorable scenes.
Porn
There's quite a lot of scenes in the game but getting them runs counter to the game flow to a point that's frankly baffling. There are several problems in their acquisition:
- You gain main quests extremely fast and it's very possible to finish the game with barely any scenes. This will likely net you the standard neutral ending.
- Initial scenes are heavily focused on anal, which is odd for a game centered around pregnancy.
- In order to qualify for two of the three possible real endings, you need to get pregnant and give birth once. Which isn't very easy due to the early anal focus unless really get out of your way to do so.
- It's necessary to wait many days for certain quests to appear, sometimes with a required number of births. You may need to just sleep, sleep, sleep. You could finish the game 4 times in the same amount of days.
Basically, the core theme of the game is how the girls are being more open to the ways of the islanders but for this to actually happen in-game you need to go out of your way to make it so. It's very unintuitive and just bizarre design. The scenes themselves are not bad, though sadly marred by a shoddy translation (notably, the word "pussy" is always capitalized, for some unfathomable reason).
Final words
This isn't a bad game but this isn't good either. If you're into pregnancy and childbirth fetishes you probably should give it a try, if only because games centered around this aren't super common. The game flow will frustrate you at times but fortunately, if you finish the game once you can auto-unlock everything in the recollection room (you will lack context though).
