you can tell devs actually waited for November
As of other hs,we will have Eternum and New Horizon updates in December,not sure about Desire of Fate,dev "targets" early Novermber,but his first target was February 2025,so after a year,I don't have any hopes.There is also Companion of Darkness and something else
Later,in early 2026,MBML and Between Humanity are coming
This month,we will probably see city devil restart and that new teacher

ehh,well,as always quickly ran through it with the skip button,as of technical aspects,common animations are ok,sex animations...well,they are not awful,but compared to what we see in 2025 they look pretty weak.You can push hs1 to its limit to have actually great images
A bit of free roam,that's why there is a sandbox tag,but it's fine.You don't need to wait for a certain day or something.
A small quiz on your school knowledge was okay.
Overall, dev has some ideas,but they all are kinda outdated at this point, pretty sure he's inspired by OIALT, and taking inspiration from it in 2025 may not be successful. Not to mention 1.5 year dev circle for unpopular game is a bit too much. However,I'll still keep an eye on it

1.Divine Intervention by ChainZ
The 0.0.8 early version(250 renders) was released in April but for patrons only,that's why we don't have it here.The dev is still active,the latest preview was shared in June,but we know nothing about ETA

New dev log + Previews
Been a looong time since the last dev log, so I thought it's time to post another. They'll also be more frequent from now on since you guys actually seem to care about them.
We've been making solid progress and are nearing the release of the 0.1 version. I'm really just rendering the last big scene, but there's maybe going to be another short pseudo-scene that shouldn't take too long to make.
It's still a little too early to give a release date since the scene I'm rendering is crazy complicated to render, but we're getting really damn close.
If all goes well, we might even release the 0.1 with a custom UI, though it's not sure yet.
But I'm sure we'll soon be able to give you a release date
Probably a good time to mention that the 0.1 won't be very long since it's only a part of the prologue. Should still be enough though to give you an idea about the world of Divine Intervention.

I wish I could get into Love by the Water, played it once, the humor and plot was good, but man, I just can't get pass the render and the character

I didn't think it was that great either, chars look weird, iffy renders, and the protag gets an interesting intro just to quickly become generic Mr. Special #38383 with a being inside of him like a Shonen protag lol.

Just wanna share cradle review that made me dead

I actually couldn't get through all the current content as the MC is so bad

To say the MC is passive is a super understatement, pretty sure you could steal one of his organs and still not get a reaction, a waitress literally brings drugged wine to him so thugs can rob him and then goes right back to the same bar but doesn't say a word, also 100% sure he's devoid of brain cells given he is drugged and robbed after trusting the first people he see's and then goes and trusts the second person he meets right after waking up who then betrays him and leaves him for dead, and when MC then decides to forgive her i ended the game right there, there is pathetic super simp and then there is this moron.

MC's reaction to waking up lost in the woods = meh
MC's reaction to seeing a elf = meh
MC's reaction to a werewolf = meh
MC's reaction to being drugged and robbed = meh
MC's reaction to seeing boobs = oh wow they are perfect
MC's reaction to being late for work = it's worse than death

Animations are nice and smooth

The story is pure garbage and full of so many holes it's not even funny.

The cradle company could not be more suspicious if they were called mega-suspicious-totally-not-evil-inc. and the explanation of how it works makes no sense at all, for some reason they will pay MC to enter a virtual world and work jobs hes unqualified for while taking care of his body full time or doing anything he wants until a random event lets him see the way out and again for some reason they pay him for this, don't worry through because they have no bad reviews and there are rich people showing how much money they have made doing this prowling around town, even through the company is super new and it was impossible for them to have actually done it given the lengths of the contracts, the MC through ignores all that and the totally out of place sci-fi miracle tech and just stares at the receptionists tight uniform.

My review of Realm Invader was so bad that it been deleted. To be fair I have no idea what he was expecting from that game. I guess "any kind of bullshit will do as long as porn is good" don't work anymore.

4.Regarding tiers,I'll change some entries later, especially with b and C tiers.Also,I have in mind rebuilding tier by following a classic S,A,B,C,but I'm not sure yet,pretty much like the current ones.Maybe I'll change C to B- instead to keep it as it know. The main point of additional tier is,to give some more attention to unpopular vns,which ones have actually potential. If you have any takes on that,lemme know
5.Also,it's time for a small cleaning,removed:

Stakes
All of those games looked really great and promising,but since they are abandoned now,having just 1 update,there is no much point in keeping and playing them

I like the idea of the new tier! Though I do think calling it C gives the idea that it's bad, rather than it having potential.

Maybe calling it something that shows "I have my eye on it". Maybe like "P" (potential) for the newer games that are still ironing out the kinks, but show promise like Eden and Scions of the Divine can go in.

I get where some of the things come from, though it still reads more like a choleric rant rather than critique.
But the art rating requires some explaining imo. Opinions aside, but what is the standard if that is 2/5 or is it just that not every second scene is animated? Me confused.

Seems like I missed the new hs game dev thread

Without reading synopsis,first thing I already dislike is too thick models. They look really unique compared to default hs,but remind me more of sims than hs

Especially with something like this

If it's not too much work, the ones with potential could be on their own smaller table and then get promoted to the actual recommendations if they reach said potential.

And I clearly need to take a break from all this hs stuff.Damn,2 years of scrolling through hs gamesA few major thread reworks,so many changes and everything. Growth from a few people to the biggest hs thread over f95zone. Someday,I'll probably tell the story of my game I was making,that was strongly inspired by Vinland Saga,but was abandoned due many reasons.
