btw,now I'm wondering if there is a person who actually played all the games on the list?I'm not sure somebody besides me exists
New challenge for you 2, try
Isis: The Fall and see how long you last until you quit.
That isn't a general recommendation.
wild cats and weeb crap sicae are in the same category?
I should became a mod just to delete this thread
edit:
Companion of Darkness and
Cosy cafe rated "B" xD
How dare I so

Yes, how dare you, Paddy?
Cosy Cafe shouldn't be rated anything higher than C. It's even in the name!
I wouldn't call it bad, and there were definitely good parts, but I felt it was pretty average overall. It had a strange mix of the school and cooking plot and the oligarchy plot, and a big pacing issue called Lucy. To keep that short.
Eh, to be fair, the Eternum Lovers are not much better. Not really a thread I will visit anymore, simply because people who participate there are taking everything way too serious.
I once made a joke that I would not mind a NTR-scene for people who do really dumb decisions (like making Penny cry, because many of the Diehard Harem Fans expected a lewd scene with this one girl in University who hates Penny (Regina)... Come on, expecting a reward for losing the path to a Main LI? Who is also way more likeable AND hotter than Regina?). People did not really appreciate it, even if it was clearly a Joke (and I stand by that, if you make such obvious decisions wrong, you can get punished).
And dont forget that Chang is only allowed to have an ugly girlfriend, because diehard Harem fans would get insufferable if a significant character other than MC would get a attractive girlfriend.
So while your point has some truth, the other side of the spectrum is not really better. Would be great if both sides would be more open-minded, accept that there are different fetishes and that not every fetish does fit in every game (since there are people who want actual NTR in games like Eternum and others want a Harem route in NTR-games...)... Or ideally just play more than one genre of games and not take everything so seriously.
Oh, I mean, I can understand it if people are actually asking to add kinks or fetishes in the game which would not fit. It is a Vanilla Harem game after all, so something like NTR or stronger BDSM does not really fit.
But not being able to criticize without sometimes massive backlash is indeed a thing. I remember that I said that 0.8 was the weakest Update so far. One of the reasons was that I thought that the Alex-scene was not really fitting at this point in the story, since there was a very awesome Alex-scene in the Update before and there have been LIs who did not have sex with MC so far and bringing the same LIs too often will not really help that much. Especially if the scene in the toilet is worse than the one in her appartment (which is one of the all time best lewd scenes IMO).
But some Alex-Fanboy was REALLY upset with that. And she is even my favourite LI as well, but apparently you are not allowed to say that for once there was no 10/10 scene with her and that it pales a bit in comparison to her apartment scene.
Wish some people would have more chill.
Isn't that like 90% of reviews on this site?

I swear that most 1-2 stars review can be summarize to "not enough H-scenes" or "not my kinks".
Although, the funniest reviews are always about LI not being "virgings" or how if "LI is in crappy relationship at the beggining of the game - it's NTR"
I thought I was a weird one for thinking that. I would go even further and say if was the weakest update in both Eternum and Once in a Lifetime. Not only it was boring, but also pacing in the first part was completely off. "We need to hurry to get to this island, but first let's go to the beach. Sleep time. Dream (I genuinely hated that part). Threesome. Now we can goand retrieve this treasure"
I'm not even going to comment on supposed MC "growth" and how we cares about girls now, yet teleports their real bodies to Eternum.
God, I'm pissed again
Yeah, this was something which bothered me as well. MC almost dies, realizes he has to be more careful and in the same Update he uses his own connection to go into Eternum instead of using the device, which just poses an unneccessary risk. :/
I think defensiveness, no matter how autistic, is pretty different from requesting, begging, demanding or pressuring to add content or to remove it. Pushing to remove it is prolly a bit worse than to add stuff, too, usually, but this depends on if it's about, or affects, core content or not, like you said too. And there's a ton of bait potential in that behaviour. But yeah, game topics are often settled by hoolifans... but the ones where
haters dominate are imo the most toxic.
And I don't like it
at all if people use reviews to push their preferences. Reviews are for the games, comics, whatever, not for the writer's kinks, and though a review is always subjective, there's still a thing like objectivity in subjectivity. I don't like
Seeds of Chaos much, and that seems a relatively niche opinion among people who've played it. Still, if I'd rate it I'd probably give it 3 or 4 stars, based on the quality of the last version I played
years ago, so I shouldn't review it for that reason alone. What I'm saying is that rating Eternum 1 star is pretty ungenerous and
looks not very objective, because it isn't a terrible piece of crap with a spelling error and a grammar error in almost every line, a seriously incoherent plot, pacing like snail sex, and I'll stop here, unlike... something else
(not Seeds). So I mean, abusing reviews to advocate for someone's own kinks seems really slimy to me.
As for 0.8, I didn't like the part on the island in The New World after the skeletons much, the plot pacing felt off to me too, though I felt the mix or "pacing" of humour against seriousness did work overall. You could say killing off so many side characters during the voyage was ott too, but it fit the theme of going to a lethal destination
at the cost of burying the main cast under plot armour in the optimal run. I did like a lot of the later segments tho, and I'd likely feel worse about 0.8 if the order of the section was reverse. It's true Orion's character growth was... "slowed" when it came to protecting Nova and Dahlia, though there was optional character growth in Orion to Jerry,
no doubt the favourite LI here.
High intelligence and impulsiveness, low
or no wisdom indeed. I don't follow Alex's path, so I can't comment on that.
