VN - Ren'Py - Little Regina [v2.22f] [EchoFoxtrot]

The story is good at least in the first three chapters, but I don't think I can continue playing this game because of how bad the render is.
1. The MC. This is the first time I play a MC that literally made by body hair. As an Asian who doesn't have much body hair, it is really annoying to watch his body hair becoming the main focus of the screen when he's naked. I would even say it's disgusting, but that's just my opinion as I'm really not a fan of too much body hair.
2. The main/unavoidable LI Jessie. As many have stated, she really looks like a KID. Physically and mentally. I do have played a few loli AVNs, most of which are incest-related, but this model is really disturbing to watch. It's just like you are constantly reminded that she just LOOKS LIKE A KID. The contrast is even more jarring when she and MC have sex: a loli girl getting pounded by a man with disgusting body hair. Tell me this is not weird at all.
All in all, my criticism is mainly on the character renders, if you are not bothered by these you can still play and enjoy a good story. So a 3/5 game but I decide to drop it.

Love the game very much, just a good VN with lovely characters, especially the FMC (Jessie) im kind of obsessed with her, she is innocent and badass at the same time.

There is a flaw that kind of annoyed me in the game however, in the narrative the MC has some potency problems throughout the game and in addition there is a flashback to a torture scene which affects the "manhood" which is quite the turnoff in an erotic VN

Attractive characters, but like many games on F95, the game falls into the similar tropes of unnecessary violence and crime plots that fail to make it stand out. Very stereotypical tough guy MC archetype- while you are free to mold him to some extent, choosing extreme violence vs restraint, he really is a carbon copy of so many other games on here.

Personally, I don't think the younger sister necessarily falls too far into the "loli" genre. While you are an older man and she certainly has many signals of being much younger, I think it's plausible to believe that she is petite and has many characteristics of a woman's body. Personally, I think the freckles and red hair is a good standout from other adult games here.

My only piece of advice is to simply focus on the romantic relationships- authors here make the common mistake of bloated uninteresting crime plots and it seems this will be no exception. I'm sure I'm not the only one that fast forwards through all of that- it's boring and our world is full of first person shoots and action movies that do it better.

A good game with a really gripping story and cute LI. I really like the MC here, he is really giving me Jack Reacher (The series not the movie LOL) vibes. Even his back story and appearance is like that.

Also one of my favorite character would be Loki, the flashes he sees is really cool and the comparison of the characters and their states with the animals is pretty well done.

I really like Jessie as an LI because of her character, she does appear cute but is not naive, her complexity really attributes her character.

Christa is great too, hope we have some good character development with her too.

Really a good story focused VN, not for those expecting a lot of lewd scenes.

Out of the 52 or so games ive played this is the first one im considering dropping. I played most of it I just got the last chapter left.
The main reason im dropping this is the main LI that is forced feels like a loli to mean and any romance or lewd scenes with her make it feel uncomfortable to watch. If it wasn't forced and could just keep her as a friend or something be easier to get behind. I tried to force myself through it but can on force myself for so long. So because of that it's a 2/5 otherwise this game is a 3/5 while it isnt anything specially it's decent enough for what the plot is.

The forced relationship makes me uncomfortable because even if she might not be a loli but just borderline loli. She sure damn feels like a loli

I like violent games on here and this one popped up from a recommendation, so I gave it a try. I played it so far but then stopped.

The story I found quite enjoyable and liked the characters personality wise. The way they had emotions and interacted with each other was pretty good. Also, the MC looking after Jessie was kind of heartwarming and how his inner demons were less under Jessie's positive influence. Christa I like, tough and protective for those she cares about and liable to kick ass against any threats. I think she would be the perfect match for the MC and Jessie perfect in the adopted daughter role. That was the good stuff I liked.

Renders are very average compared to many other games on here. They are perfectly functional for the story but definitely average. Models are okay, Christa looks pretty while poor Jessie is extremely plain and looks like someone spattered her freckle on with a paint gun - why so many?

Okay, now the reason I actually stopped playing is Jessie.

I've seen some defensive comments in the discussion thread on here and I'm going to just say that no, I'm not a Karen, I enjoy some of the darkest AVNs on here, but, Jessie looks about 13 years old.

I don't give a shit about faux outrage by the Loli lovers defending her look. I'm stating a fact. If they like girls who look underage then that's their problem. I don't.

She actually reminds me of my cousin when she was that age. I'm not saying about the bust size because I know fine well we don't all get pneumatic tits but her frame and facial features make her overall look like a skinny little high school kid. I looked older than her in High School when I was 14.

I don't care if some faceless sketchy guys defend her look, she looks like a kid.
When MC is admiring her skinny little butt, I felt repulsed. A big buff guy who could be her dad admiring this little twig of a girl. Sorry but it's fucking gross.

If Jessie played a daughter role then I would have enjoyed the whole story and it wouldn't feel weird. Sorry guys but if you can't see why players would object to this then maybe that says a lot about you.

The Story seems fun but the renders and the very questionable LI content lower this right down for me. Yeah not for me, hard pass.

Very good VN, good story, good script, the writing contains some errors, acceptable, the graphics are good and the script runs very well, I had no crashes. So it's a 5 for me, I really like the game, and compared to the crap we have today it's very good.

If anyone has read the very few reviews I've done on games here, I don't analyse individual content, frame rate, pic quality etc etc, I deal with the overall experience

And in simple terms, this product far surpasses anything you will find on this or any other similar website. The story is immersive, (mostly) relatable, and deals with many cogent and sensitive, relevant subjects, and handles them in an applaudable and enthralling fashion.

Frankly, I could see this product, with a good scriptwriter and editor, being the blueprint storyboard for the next hit, must-see production from any of the major series producers such as Betflicks, Amadone Prone and the like. Its just that good. So much so, it even got me thinking who would be best cast as the main characters - try it yourself, and see if you can't resist doing the same, and perhaps post yourself your suggestions in discussions....

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!

Pros: characters feel authentic, story is rich, writing is decent, Musical choices are digestible, the pacing is really good (there's no fillers or anything), and MC has the whole Dexter vibe and I Abso-fucking-lutely fuck with that!

Cons: Renders sometimes look generic but honestly I couldn't care less cuz story is great. However it takes time to get hooked so having rich renders would be great.

Verdict: Absolutely play it! Play it for story not for emptying your balls. There are lewds but only like 1 or 2 but the story makes sense and it makes sense why this isn't some fuckfest. It feels more realistic.

This VN is well written and interesting. It's a bit over the top at times with the violence and the exaggeratedly bleak world view and the adulation of the military, but that's ok. It's the story he wants to write. It is kind of hard to suspend belief sometimes (MC kills a shit ton of people, like every single day, and even though most deserve it, it's odd that there are never any witnesses, never cops crawling all over the place, etc.) But it is still a good read. Not much sex yet, but that's ok. There are hints that the writer is going to gradually develop the main LI into a fireball, a kinky sexually submissive (but tough) little brat. And I'm here for that.

If I had any complaint, it would be this: the main LI is sometimes adorable looking and sometimes really bizarre looking. If the writer put just a little more effort into her facial expressions and haircut, it would make a big difference. But that is really a minor quibble.

The game has a lot of story. Christa, Jessie and Jack are relatable and the flow of the story kept me in the game despite not being a big fan of the graphic violence (even when it has good reasoning).
The additional sounds make it much hotter for me, overall it just works very well all together.

Little Regina is one of those true Adult Games. It has some sex, but sex and smut is not the main focus of the story.

You play as a retired soldier that got captured and tortured, and a lot of the game deals with the consequences of that to him and his psyche. In many games with similar MCs, he would be this indestructible terminator, that has no flaws and no shortcomings, however Little Regina dares to give us an MC that has flaws, suffered an awful and tragic event, and carries the scars, physical and mental, from that period of his life.

The same is true of all other characters in the story, the main LI is not perfect, she has her own past and dark story, and has flaws as well, but all of this makes her more human and believable.

The secondary LIs or secondary characters are treated the same way, with each of them having strengths, flaws, moral dilemmas they need to deal with and that humanize them.

The story is also relatively original and has some really creative aspects to it. I loved the idea of the music changing depending on what the MC is feeling at the time, even though it can be a bit heavy handed at times it is a very creative way of using the music and gives you more of an indication of how he is processing whatever is on the screen at the time.

The use of the cat and his cat-vision is also a fun little touch to the story and shows how each character is perceived depending on how they behave on different situations. I found it really creative and well used to give you some extra visual cues of the story/action.

Overall I would recommend Little Regina if you want to read an adult novel that deals with some very heavy and dark subjects, you do not mind a bit of gore and explicit violence, and are not too concerned about there not being sex every 5 minutes.

I really liked all of this and felt really engrossed in the story and the characters and would recommend this to any of my friends even if they didn't play porn games (as I do not see this as a porn game, whatever that is). Totally worth 5/5.

This is definately a facinating game. Violent, troubled MC. Main LI is innocent(ish) however also has a troubled past.

Many other potential LIs aswel.

Definately a slow burn but a good few hours worth of content already albeit with minimal Lewd.

This is a potential top tier game if the udpates continue. I will keep my eye on this game and if the updates continue as planned this will end up being a game i officially start supporting, so keep it up dev.

Simply excellent! The people are well written and come across as unique and thought out. The Renders are great quality and quite well detailed. Also, as a Vet myself, I was pleasantly surprised with how accurate most of the jargon and equipment was (most games like this have some crazy view on what we actually carried in Afghanistan). This game has a lot of heart and I truly think it is one of the best written ones out there.

One of the best VNs I've ever played, no exaggeration. Everything about it is perfection.

I don't think there's enough praise I can give out. The characters are amazing and layered (MC included), the story is interesting and engaging, the dynamics between the characters are entertaining, the choices feel genuinely impactful.

I'm not a big audio and visuals guy, so long as it's serviceable it's good enough for me, but those are excellent as well. The attention to the use of music is especially worthy of praise.

The only issues I have are minor and nitpicky, like some grammatical errors and the pacing feeling slightly rushed at times, but those don't ruin or even hinder the experience at all.

This is slow-burn done right. This is emotional storytelling done right. It's a must play for anyone and everyone, in my opinion.

The dev is threading a very small needle here - quite successfully i might add. The game is simultaneously dark and violent while at the same super duper wholesome. The MC is a moderately functional sociopath. The main LI has a bit of dark past as well, quite a bit more darkness than meets the eye at first glance. The secondary LI has quite the past too, full of co-dependency and sexual promiscuity. Somehow it all comes together in a wholesome candy wrapper. Well done.

The visuals are... fine. The renders are cute. The girls are as well. Their appearances work well though for the story being told. The animations... I'm actually sort of glad the dev didnt try to make them be "more". They are, for the most part, slideshow style animations which actually work here quite well. They seem a stylistic choice rather than a lack of ability. They are far far better than the 2second loops that many other devs call "animations".

Do be forewarned there isn't a lot of lewds here. Only 2 or 3 in total and 1 of those isnt at all sexy. Its all definitely slow burn, which is fine by me, but might not be appreciated by others who need their fapping materials. There is a post credits scene so keep going on past the obligatory "save here now" to, erm, whet your whistle a bit with the main LI.

Weird game. And annoying sounds, too. Make sure you turn the sound down to the absolute minimum before you start playing. I left it on default. As soon as I started playing, my ears almost exploded. The scene begins with a war explosion and shooting sounds so loud it's stupid! I was like WTF?! I was wearing headphones, too. Thanks a lot, dev! NOT!

Next to that, there's a follow up scene in which the MC saves a girl. But then the MC gets the choice to kill her. WTF is that all about?! The MC saves her so he can kill her?! Have you gone nuts, dev?! Or is it just me?!

If that's not enough, the violence in the game goes on even further in later scenes. It's almost as if the dev has got some issues and is projecting them into making a game that makes absolutely no sense and is violent as hell!

Cannot and will not recommend this game! Disgusting!

Really like this type of vn games that focus on story and sexual is just a part of it. Good luck on improving things specially the music.

Renders 4/5 - Decent enough. Not that it matters to me as long it is decent enough.

It seems like a good story but it is immensely weird in the beginning how he saves the girl because she was getting beat up and there's a choice to kill her. WTF? Save her from a beating to kill her? Make it make sense! I will continue to see if that was just the one instance of stupidity for another update. If that was just a one off, will rate it higher. Really need to stress how stupid that choice was for the sequence of events that came before it.

This is what a VN should be. The writing and story, thus far, is stellar. The art is good, not much animation but for me, it's always the story and writing. This is every bit as good as other VNs like "Acting Lessons", "Now and Then" and "Life with Mary". I am waiting for the next update and will immediately head to Patreon to add my monetary support.
