Go publish a novel man.Reading through the comments, I am struck by how entitled many of the "critics" sound, especially for getting content like this for free, or for cheap subscriptions. The sheer logic disconnection to be able to generate such outrage over optional choices. Reminds me of the times I'd list something nice for sale online for cheap (like some good furniture, right before I am about to move, and cannot take it along with me), or even for free, so long as someone came to pick it up, and I'd get messages from people 2 hours away asking if I'd be OK with driving 2 hours to drop the item off at their house, for FREE. Then they'd have the audacity to get spitting mad at me for refusing. Seems to me there is no one as disconnected from reality as the "free" crowd. This dev is making some nice content for a wider crowd, and even a handy dandy slew of optional ways to play through it, but some of you thrive on manufactured outrage, it seems.
Just as you are entitled to your view they are entitled to theirs.Text Wall
True, but in this case, some of the so called "views" are more than merely entitled, they are also just plain weird. If you went out of your way to step on dog turds, and then loudly complained to me about it, I would simply say to you "don't deliberately step on dog doo doo". These are "critics" who, despite the developer saying clearly and concisely the kind of content that they have planned for this story, continue to essentially moan and whine about them, despite the fact that it's all optional toggles. Sure they are entitled to their opinions, even if said opinions were derived from the metaphorical equivalent of people who seem to like stepping in crud and then complaining loudly about it. As for me, I'd rather the thread have more productive criticisms than "something I don't like is optionally included in this game, and now I am going to vent about it". For the record, I really happen to think the dev is onto something nice by making the experience more customizable in a lot of ways.Just as you are entitled to your view they are entitled to theirs.
It doesn't matter if you don't like their views, of course you can argue and debate your view or theirs.
If the only thing you can say to defend what someone said is "they have the right to say it." even you are admitting it's worthless. No one says they aren't entitled to their opinion, just that their opinion sucks. Just as they can say our game sucks.Just as you are entitled to your view they are entitled to theirs.

because at least he's taking a stanceGo publish a novel man.
Taking a stance (against others) is commonly not the best option as they will bite back with more visceral then the before, the more you or they push the more visceral and aggressive people become (part of human nature)If the only thing you can say to defend what someone said is "they have the right to say it." even you are admitting it's worthless. Like please actually take a stance instead of saying these nothings, I have more respect for the guy who said
because at least he's taking a stance
Just to be clear, I don't mind if you don't want to argue, that's fine. But the nothing burger "they are entitled to their opinion" was what annoyed me. Felt like you were trying to show endorsement for their opinion in the most cowardly way possible. But if you just prefer to avoid conflict , that's fine.
