While on the topic of Roleplay-S, I'm liking the new diverse skills and mechanics being added there. Having the possibility to combine an Acolyte build with Magic and Physical builds (which is not possible in vanilla) is really great. It's not a mod made for beginner however since it has an even harsher progression curve than vanilla with the added limited save.
Still, one thing that I particularly don't like, and even commonly despise in all RPG that has this, is the massive amount of grind required to unlock most of the traits. Sure, grind is a common thing in RPG, and vanilla LonaRPG has this too to a certain extent. But Roleplay-S takes it to a whole other level. While it's possible to unlock most important skills in vanilla LonaRPG by playing normally and completing each missions one time, here in Roleplay-S, you're required to repeat the exact same actions, exact same quests over and over before being able to unlock just the first set of starter traits. This, I do not like. At all. But I see the vision, and I can understand the direction the modder is trying to head. But it's not for me. I love the added diversity and difficulty, but I despise the added necessity of a giant grind. And that's just me personally. I think most RPG players wouldn't mind grinding and repeating the same action for hours on end. I used to love doing that in the past, but base LonaRPG and DOS2 made me realize how fun a RPG can be without the need to, how great a RPG with a heavily pushed and well concocted horizontal progression can feel.
All in all, despite my hatred for the intense grind, I'll still heavily play Roleplay-S since it's overall fun. Although, I'm pausing it for now due to two massive problems that may get solved in the future. One is, the stats that you grinded for dozens of hours will be resetted after a preg rebirth (not sure about Behelit rebirth). Now this is a giant kick in the nuts. If there's ever an update that requires a rebirth, then bye bye to all those stats you farmed for hundreds of hours. This wouldn't have been too big of a problem if Roleplay-S didn't push so hard on the necessity of a massive grind. Two is, for some reason, stats stop increasing when preg rebirthing into another race such as Moot-Abomination (not sure about Behelit rebirth). So, can't play my favorite deceptive monster of a Lona for now.
