You managed to sum it up perfectly. Just like you said, nobody is asking MC to be Kratos, but the default settings are simply ridiculous. A sandbox where you can't even sandbox because one wasted movement means you better start over.

If some folks like it the way it is and/or have it all figured out, that doesn't make it any less of a bad design. It's also OK if they want to be the dark souls of H games, but hey, I played DS and at least I was able to move there.

Son, if you waste times on something to improve your result then it is indeed a skill issue, be it working, studying for tests or playing video games. There's bound to be people better at it than you, just accept that fact and keep improving, or call it quit. Both are fine solutions. Cheating is one as well if your mind can bear it.

That's only for those 2 versions.

ProjectS001 is working on updating the translation for 0.7.7.1 and it will be done when it's done.

In the mean time, there is a temporary MTL edit available for those who can't wait.
There are a couple of issues with it that I've run across, but it fulfils the purpose that ProjectS001 can take their time on the translation update.

Or you could make a mod that does that (like someone did for Cecily's boobs) - Someone over on the korean forums is already doing this, looks promising.

The dev has enough on their plate with the current game.

Not really. Having to learn through trial and error is fun for some people. It was fun for me when I started, even when I did it blind up to a point. Hell, I even contributed a small portion on the mostly outdated guide on the OP. I'm sure at some point, I pointed out that semen items can be converted into white sludge which can be used as emergency/convenient currency. It might not be fun for you, specifically, but that doesn't mean that it's bad design. I've enjoyed plenty of games where they don't tell you jack shit and you're supposed to figure it out, like most roguelikes. And in those games, permadeath is a feature.
P.S. you're not supposed to be crawling on the floor all the time. You're probably doing something very wrong.

It's not bad design. It's just not a game for you.
It's OK if you don't like something, Just move on.
(I'm actually amazed a "real" DS player would complain about such thing.....or even compare Lona to DS :KEK:

This game actually has some very solid rogue lite gameplay that tied very well to the porn it's offering.
I don't normally play F/M porn game, but I'm having a lot of fun messing around in this game.

I don't have a problem with trial and error, that's what happens in most games (granted, most of them became dead easy in recent years).

My point here (and I'm sure it's been mentioned in the 400+ pages of this thread) it's that the design choices here are so bad that they push you to spend more time reading guides than aimlessly wasting time in-game.

There's good and bad design. They can happen anywhere, anytime, regardless of individual preferences. There's plenty of flawed games I do enjoy, and that doesn't make me oblivious of their shortcomings.

I only brought up DS because of its easily the epitome of "difficult game", since "git gud" seems to be the creed of this particular thread's dwellers. Of course, those two are nothing alike, and I have no need to call myself a "real player" of anything.

Just because you don't like someone's standpoint that doesn't make them wrong. In fact, all the replies were either "retry", "git gud", "cheat it out", "we like it this way" or "move on", so the main point was never tackled. Cheers...

In hindsight, I'm surprised Lona doesn't get like a shit ton of Morality or whatever for beating the Crimson Slayer. You'd think that a living legend getting their teeth kicked would be something talked about for ages. Sure, the story might be embellished, but for the shit ton of people who saw the fight, she wouldn't be someone they'd forget.

Also, I noticed in the convo between Justice and Sea Witch that there's supposed to be an alternative to the island being wiped out and something about "paying for damages." But in all the current endings, the island still gets wiped out.
