Project:
Name: Preta (Working title)
Tags: 3DCG, Supernatural, Mystery, Ren'py, Male protagonist, Trans/Trap (Optional), MILF, Lesbian, Incest
Themes: Battle royale, Survival, Investigation, Action, Romance, Multiple endings, Smart characters
Story Overview: 16 people find themselves inside an abandoned university, playing sinister games organized by a supernatural entity for the very survival of their lives and a chance at redemption. Who will survive? What is the true endgame of the entity?
Idea details: Preta is a creature commonly found in Vietnam and south-east Asian folklore. They are spirits that have accumulated poor karma in their corporeal forms and are now doomed to wander the world. In actual folklore, these creatures have twisted forms and have insatiable appetites for unusual objects, such as cadavers. However, they are meant to be symbolic in this game, indicating the 16 people trapped in the university who still retain their human forms, but are all after something to satiate their hunger. Their hunger is their heart's desire. Of course, this also means that the people have attracted plenty of bad karma. So what does that mean? Is this an afterlife? Are they dead? Well, that's for the players to find out.
Developer:
Myself, the 3D artist, Patreon, Discord (when we gain enough patrons)
Looking for:
3D artist, preferably for Daz3D and Blender
Employment Type:
Revenue sharing. It'll be an equal 50/50 split. It'll probably be just two people working on the game. If additional people are brought on board, then we can discuss the split further. There are two ways to go about this.
Option A
Share split. This is where the individual will split their share for the person they bring on board. For example, let's say I need another writer, coder, or anyone else. Then I will split my share of the 50/50 split for the person I bring on board. This allows for the artist to enjoy the full share of their split, since they don't need any additional help. It's the same deal if the artist decides to bring someone on board the project.
Option B
New share. Self explanatory. Essentially, we create a new revenue sharing model.
Work commitment:
I'm going to do everything writing related, including story progression, dialogues, character arcs, choices, endings, scene descriptions, lore, and anything writing related. The 3D artist will focus on all things visual.
It will start with a one-off project, but if we think that the partnership works really well, then we can continue on to future projects. Do note that I'm bringing in zero funding. I had initially thought of doing everything myself but I'm an average coder and I don't have enough time for 3D designing. Even I did gain some time, I have a potato laptop that struggled to work with basic After Effects. If I run 3D, then I'll be sending it to techno afterlife.
We'll make all aspects of the work clear. I'll set up milestones to keep progress and help us focus on the goals. It's nothing strict, but it gives us a visual representation of a 'roadmap' we can follow.
Preferred method of contact:
DM me here if you are interested or if you have any questions. If we can come to an agreement, then we can move to Discord for more discussions.
Job Description:
- Help with the visual aspects, including character models, poses, and expressions.
- Backgrounds
- Any details, if required and after discussion
- I'm going to work on the marketing of the game, but this is something we will plan together. For example, you might have an idea guaranteed to hit us a million dollars net profit (maybe, but it would be cool). In that case, I would like you to lay down your suggestions. All marketing activities will be based on discussion, which means that both you and I will have to come to an agreement on the viability of said activities.
Additional comments:
This will be a two-person team. When I say person, I don't care about your gender, sexual orientation, or anything else. I just want you to feel comfortable creating trans and trap characters. If you feel that gay relationships should be included, then that is something I am happy to discuss. Again, no idea is a bad idea, so we'll be working on this together.
