looking for a game similar to:

(2D) four element trainer, something unlimited, orange trainer, witch trainer etc.
(3D) corruption, research into affection, lust village, room for rent, 18titans etc.

basically just looking for something where you talk to a character > do some monotonous task/wait a day > talk to the character again & new options/events pop up

im a simple guy, i like feeling rewarded for my efforts in the form of gradual progression with virtual characters

You're describing mostly Akabur-style trainers, though most games with the trainer tag will fit that bill. Some that stand out to me:

yeah, ive tried most of the games with the trainer tag including akburs games. also played IoY. mostly looking for male protagonist

headmaster and princess tower are both pretty solid. ive kept looking passed strive for power bc of the screenshots and that it looks mostly text based. but maybe ill try it. as for slugs and bugs...it looks interesting. ill think on that one

Yeah, the sex scenes in Strive are text based, so if that's a deterrent you may want to pass. Still a great game IMO.
