I don't really remember the name of the game, or in what engine it was made, but here are things I am sure about, and hope is enough to identify it:
1. It's a 2D game, with no 3D elements. This I am absolutely sure of.
2. It's also not from Japan, or translated from another language.
3. The screenshots of the game on it's original thread show the protagonist as a dark humanoid entity, like The Truth from FullMetal Alchemist but, well, black.
4. The VN description hinted at a story about regaining memories, or something of that nature. Deep stuff, basically.
5. The VN seemed to be set in a carnival of sorts, and the protagonist was stuck (?) here, according to the screenshots.
I haven't played the game, and before I could bookmark it my old laptop finally gave up and died, so if you could identify the game for me with these 4 points, I'll appreciate it. I really can't recall anything beyond these 4 points though, so if you need any additional info, you're out of luck. Nor do I have any images to attach.
